To The End

When Gerard came back in, no one spoke of what just happened with Pete. All Mikey did was hold Lucas and baby talk with him, I thought it was cute. Around 4 or 5 in the afternoon a nurse came in with a cot telling Mikey he shouldn't stand so much. Gerard asked for a second cot so he could stay with them as well. I was about to ask for a third but Gerard shook his head and grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the room, I don't think Mikey noticed.

"I talked to the doctor, and he said at the speed Lucas was gaining weight, we might be able to take him home tomorrow." He informed me.

"Aww, yay." I gave out a girly giggle and Gee kissed my head.

"We don't have any baby things though," He reminded me, it was true, Mikey was gonna go shopping later in the pregnancy but he gave birth so suddenly. "Here," He said handing me a piece of paper with 2 numbers on it. " This is Bob and Ray's number, call them and ask to help set up and shop, okay?"

"Sure." I told him and kissed him before leaving the hospital.

On my way to Gerard's car, I texted Frank asking him to meet me at my house. He quickly agreed and wondered where we all were. I called Ray and told him Gerard needed his help and to bring Bob over to our house. He didn't ask any questions, he merely agreed and told me he and Bob were coming in his truck. Perfect. When I got home they we all waiting outside for me to let them in.

"Hey Alex!" Frank greeted me with a hug then went back to Bob's arms. Bob wrapped his arms around Frank and held him close. Aw.

"So where's Mikey and Gerard?" Ray asked once we were inside.

"Mikey had the baby." I announced.

"WHAT?!" They all panicked at once.

"He isn't even 4 months yet." Frank shouted, since he was a fertile he knew better then Ray and Bob did.

"He had him two weeks ago. They're both fine now," I calmed them all down, "But the baby might be discharged soon and we have no baby things so Gee told me to call and ask for help. Will you?"I asked.

"Yeah." They all answered.

Frank and I took my car while Bob and Ray took Ray's truck, we would give them all the heavy stuff so they could come back and assemble it while Frank and I buy clothes and other shit like that. Right now, Bob and Ray just left with the high chair, crib, play pen, bassinet, changing table, car seat, and rocker and were gonna put it all together while Frank and I got diapers.

"So, do you and Gee every think about having a baby?" Frank asked as we loaded up on diapers.

"We had a pregnancy scare once, but not really." I truthfully answered.

"Oh."

"Bob and you look cute together." I told him, he started to blush.

"Thanks."

"Are you mates?" I asked.

"Uh, yeah we are." He smiled.

"Cute, I'm happy for you."

We entered an awkward silence.

"What made you and Gee check that you were mates?" He asked at check out.

"Oh, I didn't want to waste my time with someone who wasn't my mate."

"That's smart, I wish I did that." He mumbled.

"Why?"

"I fell in love with someone who wasn't in love with me.And we slept together a few times"

"I'm sorry." I was lost for words.

"Yeah," he scratched the back of his neck, "It was hard seeing them until I found Bob."

"I wasn't really interested in anyone until I found Gee."

"Nice."

Another silence.

"So who was it?" I asked.

"Not important." He told me as we got in my car.

"Come on." I asked with a playful smile.

"Nah." He said with a smile.

"Please?" I begged.

"Gerard." He said silently.

The rest of the drive was quite, he slept with my mate? What the fuck? Why wouldn't he tell me? Why wouldn't Mikey? What pissed me off even more was that Gerard never told me. As soon as we got back I grabbed the baby crap and went inside. Frank helped and then walked over to Bob and mumbled something. I'm guessing it was telling him he didn't want ti be there anymore because a few minutes later they said they needed to leave but everything was set up. I told them to have nice day then sat and thought about that, my friend slept with my mate.
