Chapter 28
Franks’ P.O.V
I decided to go back to sleep after I took the pain killers that Gerard left for me, but I was awaken once more by my mother yelling, “FRANKIE!!! WHAT HAPPENED!?!”
“Nothing mom, I just got jumped by some jocks at school. It’s okay” I lied.
“Are you sure that you don’t need help honey?”
“Yes mom, I’m fine.”
“Okay.” She looked a bit uneasy to leave me alone, but she eventually did. I got tired of my mom’s worried stares and decided to go to my room.
After a while I heard someone throwing rocks at my window, “The fuck? Who is it?” I asked. I threw off the covers and walked to my window to see Jared and all his glory. “What do you want?” I asked once I got my window open.
“I have an apology, a reason and a plan.”
I don’t know what made me believe him, but I did, so I threw him the ladder that I use to sneak out of the house at night and he came up. “Okay, speak.”
“I am so sorry that I beat you up because of Gerard, it's just that I really like you and I just got out of a relationship in the worst way possible.”
“How?”
“Well my old boyfriend, Roger, the day that I punched you in the face, I’m sorry for that too, I saw him cheating on me. I was really angry he had been my boyfriend for 5 years. We came out to each other and when I saw him cheating on me, I felt like my heart had been smashed into a hundred million pieces.”
“Wow, I’m sorry. That must be so terrible.” I had seen Roger at school and he didn’t look like he would be faithful and Jared loved him, so of course I would help him.
“Yeah, when I saw you in that alley, I was actually thinking about committing suicide. But you were so pretty and made me feel so hopeful. You made me feel like I could get Roger back... which brings me to my plan.”
“Umm.. okay what’s the plan? But before we get into it any further, what happened to your face, because if I can recall when you left my house you didn’t have a huge bruise on it.”
“Well this,’ he motioned towards his face,’was caused by your man candy, Gerard. My plan was that you don’t like me and I’m not over Roger, so if you help me get him back by making him jealous. You’ll have the same effect on Gerard. Then we’ll all be happy.” The way he said it made it sound so simple and easy, so I had to agree.
“Okay, yeah lets do this” I said smiling from ear to ear.
