Chapter 8
Its been a few days since Gerard and I found out the big news, so far so good. Every morning, I would wake and get sick, at least twice a day everyday, most of the time more. Gee had been there holding my hair back, rubbing my back, and whispering soothing words to me. Most of the time I would tell him to fuck off. 9 fucking months of this shit. What the hell? And men just get to stand back like nothing? That's so unfair.
Right now its about 4am and I just threw up last nights dinner. I wiped my mouth and began to brush my teeth, at this point I didn't know whether or not to try and go back to sleep or just stay up. Gee was still asleep and if I crawled back into bed I would probably wake him up. I decided to just grab a blanket and watch some T.V on the sofa. I put on The Nightmare Before Christmas, and about halfway through the movie I fell asleep. I woke up to a pair of arms wrap around me, I gasped but Gee shushed me.
"Its me. I got pretty freaked out when you went there and then I saw you here. Why are you here and not in bed?" He asked laying down and pulling me so I was laying on top of him with my head on his chest.
"I was throwing up." I groaned.
"Aww." He said and placed his hand on my stomach, where are baby was. "I think we should make an appointment, with a doctor, to make sure everything is okay and all."
"Today?" I groaned.
"Yeah, I'm free, so why not?"
"I'm tired." I said and snuggled into his chest, making him laugh.
"Okay, how about, I put you in bed, let you sleep until around 1."
"What about the doctor?"
"I'll make the appointment while your sleeping." He stated.
"Okay, carry me." I said like a baby it made him smile and he carried me to our bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow I was out, it felt like I had just fallen asleep when Gerard was waking me up.
"Tammy." He cooed, "Sugar, wake up." He said shaking me.
"Ugh!" I groaned. "What time is it?"
"1, did you want to shower?"
"No I'm good." I pulled on some fresh clothes. "Lets go." I said and we walked out and headed to the doctor.
Gerard was really on top of making the appoinment and everything, when we got there he signed in and everything like he had done in 100 times in the past. I was really glad I had him in my life, and he was going to be the father of my child. I was smiling at him when he came down to sit next to me.
"What?" He asked with a confused smile.
"I love you. Your so - just like - god there are no word for it." I said using a bunch of meaningless hand movements.
"Thank you?"
"Anytime." And I kissed his cheek.
"Mrs. and Mr. Way?" A nurse asked. Gee raised his hand at her ans she smiled at us and gestured for us to follow her. We got up and she led us to a room, and handed me a paper dress. "Okay change into these and doctor will be in, in a few minutes." She smiled at us then left.
"Mrs and Mr?" I asked with a smile. Making him blush.
"Its gonna happen, remember are conversation a few weeks ago, unless you changed your mind?"
"Never." I said fully dressed and laying on the chair.
"Good." He said and kissed me as the doctor walked in.
"Alright, who's ready to see there baby?" She asked.
We started with her inspecting me and telling me I was 4 weeks along, I had a small bump, she said she would have given us a picture but there wasn't much to take a picture of. Gee held my hand the entire time and I could tell he was just as happy as I was. When we had gotton out it was about 2:20pm.
"So what do you wanna do now?" He asked holding my hand as we left.
"I wanna tell my mom." I stated.
"Okay do you wanna tell her over the phone or....." He trailed off.
"No lets go over, I miss everyone." I said getting the car.
"Do we have to?" He said starting the car.
"You'll get to see Mikey." I sang. And he took off to New Jersey.
It was a long drive, mainly because we have to pull over a lot so I could use the restroom and so I could throw up the contents of my stomach. Gee would make me eat, to refill my stomach, even though I didn't want to. But I did it for him and our baby.
It felt like forever before we had made it to my mom place. It was almost dark by then, we parked in my mom's driveway and made our way in. I still had my key's so we just let ourself's in. We found my mom sitting in the dinning room reading on of her books.
"SURPRISE!" I yelled as I pulled her into a bear hug.
"Sweetheart!" She said hugging me back, "What are you two doing here?" She asked hugging Gerard.
"Are we not allowed to visit you or something?" I asked taking a seat while Gerard edged towards the door, "Go." I said.
"Thanks, love ya', I'll see you soon Miss Read." Gerard said running out of the door. I could see him from the window in the kitchen, Mikey had just stepped out of his house and was looking at his door when Gee tackled him to the ground. They hugged then wrestled for a bit making me laugh.
"So how's Frankie?" She asked pouring both me and her some water.
"Last time I talked to him was a few days ago, we texted a bit since then but not a lot." I said, it made me kinda sad. Frankie and I would also be with each other, and ever since I moved away we have been growing apart. Tears started forming and falling at the thought of this.
"Aw baby girl, don't cry." She said getting me a napkin, "I would have thought you would have seen him before coming here."
"Well there is something I need to tell you..."
"What?" She said.
"I'm pregnant, 4 weeks." I said.
Nothing. No facial change or anything.
We stayed in silence for a little while.
"Mom?" I asked.
"Your pregnant." She said full of anger, which scared me.
"Yes." I said quietly.
"What the fuck!?!" She yelled getting out of her seat. "I knew this would happen! I never liked that boy! He took you from me and then knocked you up! This would have never happened if you never fucked up your relationship with Rick! He was a nice boy, he never would have done this to you!" She yelled at me. I couldn't help but sob.
"Stop!" A voice yelled from the doorway of our kitchen. I turned to see a very angry Gerard and a shocked Mikey. "Don't you ever talk to her like that!" He yelled at my mom.
"She my god damn daughter, I can do whatever the hell I please!" She yelled at him.
"You have no idea what she has been though! And if you paid any attention to her when she was with Rick, you would have known what actually went on!" He yelled back at her, "I love her and our child! I will do anything to keep the two of them safe, and right now that's getting them he fuck away from you!" HE said coming over to me. I was still sobbing, he pulled me under his arms very protective like and lead us out of the house and away from my shocked face mother.
Mikey was right behind us as he led us out of my mothers house. He stopped at the sidewalk and fished through his pockets for something. He pulled out his keys and tossed them at his brother.
"Move my car to mom's." Mikey grabbed the keys and did what he was told.
We walked into Gerard's house, I was still crying, damn hormones. He other saw us first.
"Gerard, sweetheart what are-," She saw me crying, "What's wrong?" She said rushing to us. Gee put his hand out and she stopped where she was.
"Not now mom." He said and led me to Mikey's room and put me on his bed and wrapped his arm around me. "Are you okay?" He asked softly.
"Not really." I answered, still crying.
"Okay, I'm gonna go talk to my mom before she thinks the worse, I'm also gonna tell her about the baby, is that okay?" I nodded and he kissed my forehead before he left. A few minutes later Mikey came into the room and I sat up and wiped my eyes.
"Sorry. Gee just brought me here." I said.
"It's fine," He said taking a seat next to me, "So you guys are having a baby?"
"Yeah," I sniffed and wiped my eyes again, the tears had stopped now. "We are."
"Wow, I'm gonna be a uncle." He said and smiled, "Congrats."
"Thanks, so do you know how your parents are taking the new's?" I asked.
"Uh, yeah, my mom was shocked at first then she smile and said, 'I'm gonna be a grandma' so I think she took it really well."
"Good, I"m glad this baby will at least have one grandma that love it." I said running my hand where my baby bump would be.
"If you don't mind me asking, who's Rick?" He asked.
I turned the other way and kept quite, Mikey got the hint and asked if I wanted to watch a movie. We put on some cheesy horror movie then Gerard, Frankie and Ray came busting threw the door.
"FRANKIE!" I yelled and started to cry again as I threw myself at him and hugged him. I heard him sniffle and figured out he was crying to. We pulled apart only so I could give Ray a hug to, then I hugged Frank again.
"Okay, let;s give them a minute." Gerard said and ushered everyone out, leaving Frankie and I alone.
"I missed you." He said making me cry even more. "I'll take that as you missed me to?" I nodded.
"So," He said when he pulled apart, "A baby?" And he put his hand against my stomach. I wiped my tears away and laughed and smiled.
"Yeah, Frankie, did Gee tell you what my mom said?" I asked in a small voice.
He gave me a sad look and pulled me into another hug, "Yeah, he did, I'm sorry Cupcake."
"I just thought my own mother would have been supportive about her own grandchild, my baby."
"Everything will be fine, so how long do I have you here for?" He asked.
"I think, I may wanna move back here." I said.
