Chapter 10
My hands were frozen as I read and reread the letter. How did he get in my purse? I had it with me every second of the wedding. And I was either with Gerard, Frankie, Ray, or Mikey the entire time. The only time I was by myself was in the bathroom. But Frank and Ray hired a bouncer and Rick's name and photo was 1st on the list.
What if he did come back? What if he got me? Or hurt me? Or Gerard? Or our baby? He said he take care of that thing inside me, did that mean he'd kill my unborn child? I clutched my stomach in fear for my child's life as tears came hard and fast down my face. The baby must have known something was up because she had stopped kicking me.
I heard the shower turn off and I knew Gee would be out soon. I put the letter back in my purse and wiped away my tears. He same out not to long after he shut off his water in a towel.
"Hey babe-" He stopped and looked at me, "Have you been crying?" He asked as he rushed over to me.
"A bit." I admitted.
"Why?" He asked sitting next to me pulling me into a side hug, "What's wrong?"
"I'm just really happy for my Frankie." I said which wasn't a complete lie. He laughed and kissed my cheek and finished changing. I decided to change as well. I changed into a big tee and pajama pants and looked at myself in the full length mirror we owned.
I felt so huge being 6 months along. I ran my hand over my stomach and thought to myself 'god I'm such a cow'. I was so absorbed in myself in the mirror I hadn't noticed Gerard coming from behind me and wrapping his arms about my belly and resting his head on my shoulder.
"Your not a cow." He said running his hand across my belly.
"I never said that." I said turning to face him.
"I know, but you were thinking it." He said with a smirk.
I just shrugged because it was true.
He laughed and hugged me, or at least tried to. My bump wouldn't let him get very closed to me. He groaned and placed both of his hands on my bump and gave it a gentile push, the baby was kicking him.
"What are you doing?" I asked putting my hands over his.
"The baby wont let me get close to you so I'm trying to move her." He said giving her another small push.
I laughed, "I don't think that's gonna work." I said and stood on my toes and kissed him.
I was about to deepen the kiss but Rick popped into my mind and I pulled away in fear. I tried to play it off as nothing by crawling into bed, under the cover but Gerard didn't buy it. He followed me and laid next to me.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"I'm just tired, that's all." I lied.
"Tammy..." He said calling my bluff.
"Can we just not." I said a bit more loud then I had to. He dropped it.
"Fine/" He said rolling over to his side of the bed. It was rare when he didn't sleep with some type of contact with me. I guess tonight was one of those nights.
"Gerard..?" I asked quietly.
"Hmm?" He said not rolling over to look me in the face.
"Can you make sure the door and windows are locked?" I asked.
He rolled over so he could see m face and he searched my eyes for a moment looking for the reason why I asked for something like that. I kept my face frozen so he wouldn't try to pry Rick's letter out of me through his eyes. He just gave me a small, but assuring nod and lock the apartment up. When he came back, he turn off the light's and pressed his body against mine and wrapped one hand over my swollen belly.
"I love you." He said.
"I love you to." I said, not long after I heard his light snoring.
I didn't get one minute of sleep that night. Rick's letter was still in my mind, and by 8am the next day, it still was. I somehow managed to get out of bed with waking up Gerard and I decided to make him breakfast, bacon egg's and coffee. I had just served both plates when Gee came out of the room and poured himself a cup of coffee.
He didn't wear a shirt to sleep so I got a nice view of his chest and stomach. He also had a bad case of bedhead which just turned me on even more. I hopped on the counter and he sipped his coffee and I licked my lips. When he had finished his 1st cup he came over and peck my kips, but when pulled away to get himself another cup. I grabbed him by the back of his neck and pulled him back and crashed his lips against mine.
I forced my tongue into his mouth and ran one hand through his hair and the other around the waist band of his pants. I swear I could hear the click in his head when he realized what I was getting at. He opened my legs and yanked off my pants and underwear in one move while I did the same to him. He didn't waste any time thrusting into me. He kept it soft though, trying not to hurt our little girl.
When we were done we pulled our clothes back but stayed in that spot.
"I'm sorry." I said.
"For what?" He said titling my head up so I was forced to look in his eyes.
"Last nigtht I was kinda being a bitch." I admitted.
"It's fine, I should have gotten the hint that you went ready to tell me what was on your mind."
"Stop!" I whinnied like a child.
"What?" He asked confused.
"I'm not perfect, sometimes your right." I said.
"Tammy-" He started.
"Nope." I said and started to eat, he got the hint and he ate to.
"Did you get any sleep last night?" He asked when we were done eating.
"No." I admitted.
"Go to bed, I have a surprise for you later and I want you to be fully rested." I didn't argue, I went to sleep in our bed. I had a hard time falling asleep because I was curious about what Gerard's surprise is.
