Chapter 11
I fell asleep for about 6 hours and woke up around 2pm. I didn't see Gerard so he must have gone out to visit Mikey or something. I decided to take a long hot shower. The heat helped me forget about Rick for a moment and let me be happy. I was lost in not thinking when there was a knock on the door which made me jump a bit.
"Tammy?" Gerard asked.
"Yeah?" I responded as I hear the door open.
"Just checking. Are you almost done?"
"Yeah just about." I said turning off the water and wrapping myself in a towel and stepped out. He had a real nervous look on his face but I just shook it off and waled past him and into our room to get dressed.
"So for this surprise, do I need to be dressed in a certain something?" I asked over my shoulder.
"Just something comfortable." He said while I threw on some pants and a blue long sleeve since it was December and cold. Something about his voice was off, but I just ignored it.
"Okay I'm ready I said walking to the door with him behind me. We locked the door and walked to the car, I headed for the car but he grabbed my hand and stopped me.
"I thought we would take a walk." He said with the same off tone but I shook it off again.
"You want the 6 month pregnant girl to go for a walk?" I question, he just laughed and pulled out his keys.
We drove around for a bit, every time I asked where we were going Gerard just said I had to wait and find out, but everytime he spoke he had the same off tone to his voice. It was getting harder to shake off. About a 10 minutes later we found our self's at a park. Gee rushed to my side of the car and opened the door for me. I took his hand and hulled myself out of the car. Gee just smiled down on me and pecked my lip's. We walked for a bit talking about the baby and what we hoped for her. Gee hoped she would be into art like him, I just hoped she doesn't do anything stupid with her life.
About 15 minutes into our walk, my back couldn't take much more so we had to stop at a bench to sit down. Every time he talked he had the same off tone, that plus my back pain was starting to irritate me. When I left like walking again I stood up to walk but Gee kept us still. He leaned down and kissed me, wrapping his arms around my belly as much as he could, I felt him starting to deepen the kiss so I wrapped my arms around his neck.
But he pulled away and gave me another nervous look.
"Oh my god what?" I asked irritated.
"What?" He asked confused.
"You! You've wither had a nervous look or had had an off tone to your voice all day! Like what the hell? I know I'm over reacting but I'm pregnant, what do you expect!?" I said with a smile.
"Really?" He asked in a high pitch and smiled at me. "Damn, I didn't notice."
"So can I know?" I asked.
"Well this was way more romantic in my head and I didn't have an off tone to my voice, but here goes nothing." He said and got down on one knee.
I pulled my hands to cover my mouth which was now open, some people from the park had stopped what they were doing to watch us.
"Tammy, I've lived across the street from you my entire life, I remember when you were a little girl, you would play sports with my brother not minding the dirt that got in your hair. I remember seeing you as the cute girl, but then a little more than 5 years ago you did something know had ever done to me before. You stood up to me, you knocked me off the pedestal I had put myself so high on, you told me what dick I was being to my own brother and changed our relationship forever, that was also the moment I fell in love with you. And everyday since then it broke my heart knowing that you weren't mine, and every time you had a boyfriend or held someone else hand or kissed someone else, a piece of me died. Then final, a year and a half ago, you became mine, we had been through so much together, and now we are creating this perfect little girl, so I ask; Tammy Read, will you do me the honor of being mine for life; will you marry me?" He asked pulling out a ring.
I was crying out of pure joy, there was a lump in my throat and I couldn't speak so I just nodded my head and clutched my mouth.
"Tammy... I kinda need you hand." He whispered, and I lowered my hand so he could slip the ring onto my finger, it fit perfectly. Everyone around us cheered as he stood up and I there myself at him and hugged him, he hugged me back and kissed my head. We got a bunch of congratulations as we walked back to the car. The smile on both of our faces could crack us in two.
We were engaged now, my life was fucking perfect. We kissed before we he took off down the street, on the first stop light we hit we were the first car waiting to go. We held hands and waited for the red light to turn green. But then the car came.
At about 60mph a silver car came at us and hit us straight on. This was no accident, the drive purposely aimed for us, if it had been a accident the car 2 spaces over would have been the ones hit. But this was head on, the driver even moved a bit so he could get us at a perfect angle.
I saw the car coming and I screamed at clutched my belly and Gerard leaned over and wrapped his left hand over my belly and used his right hand to pull me close to him. When the car hit I heard glass shattering and the screeching of tires and the smell of smoke and burnt rubber. I felt really dizzy. I heard someone calling my name and I turned, even though it caused me great pain and saw a worried Gerard with blood dripping down both sides of his face. His mouth moved but I couldn't hear what he was saying, I felt myself losing consciousness so I turned my head back to look forward and rested my head against the seat.
The last thing I saw before the blackness took over was the street light was still red.
"Tammy?" Gerard asked.
"Yeah?" I responded as I hear the door open.

CLIFFHANGER!!!! So I'm not gonna update tomorrow because of Volleyball and I'm dedicating Friday to hw so u guys r gonna have to wait, unless I get 5 comments, then I'll make sure I get an update on Friday!
