Falling Through Darkness
That night I was hoping beds, trying to run away from my problems. The nightmares were haunting and I just couldn't escape them. Oh someone save me.
The sun peaked in through the blinds as it shined onto my eyelids. My stomach felt cold and so did my legs but I was used to that. I was almost always cold so why should now be any different? As I stretched out my body hit a fleshy thing and I sat up immediately. Soft...Fleshy...Hairy...Creature! AHHHHH!
I let out a squeak when the creature shuffled and grabbed me by the waist. 'Creature bad. Creature let go of Abby.'I thought, I was pulled down next to creature and they began to snore loudly. I let out a small sigh as I pulled off the person's arms. This couldn't last for long. I couldn't let this happen anymore. The nightmares had gotten worse and worse and I didn't have my medication either so I couldn't find some relief.
"Let go." I whispered into the creature's ear and they obeyed but held onto my hand as I tried to stand. I kneeled down and uncovered their face only to sigh at the look upon your features. You had a small smile gracing your lips and your soft features looked frightenly happy, like you were in charge of a cruel day. It almost made me weep.
I traced your features with my index finger as you let out a soft sigh and your eyes opened. You gave me a smile. I smiled back at you softly, my eyes were showing my pain. You leaned up sleepily and kissed my forehead then stroked my cheek with your thumb.
"Morning Abby." You said softly and sat up. I nodded and gave you a quick hug before you pulled me into your lap. I couldn't help but let out a little purr as you stroked my hair and then began to braid it.
"Mikey..." I whispered softly as you held me close. I turned my head back and gave your cheek a little peck. I heard the song from the future fly though my head, "My love for you was bulletproof, but you're the one who shot me." Oh Mikey don't shoot me. Please. Please tell me this is real.
