I sat there as they cut off my medium length rave black hair. It broke my heart seeing my hair fall piece by piece. I felt the tears rim my eye but I won't let them win I won't let them get the satisfaction of seeing me break.

They yanked my head back and put this horrid smelling cream in my hair and put silver paper over it. I had to sit there for 2 hours well they plucked the hair out of my eye borrows and shaved my body completely. They sprayed me with a brownish paint that made me look like I was working in the fields for 2 day straigth.

I hate what they're doing to me. They are to make me a diffrent person a strager... a kill. Will I even recognize myself in the mirror. Will Mikey relize its me on the screen... Will I change into the killer they want me to be?

When they took off the silver paper from my hair and turned me around to see myself in the mirror, I just wanted to cry my hair was now a gold like the grain we grew in our district. It was an ugly memory of a place I'm not going back to. I looked in the mirror and was looking at a stranger. I was no longer Gerard I was the tribute from district 9. Not a killer Just a tribute.
