*Three Days Later
My alarm woke me up out of a peaceful dream, I was dreaming about the fact that it wasn’t the first day back to school. But, the sound of my alarm reminded me it was. Why else would I set my alarm during the summer? I practically sleep in all day. I rolled over and smacked it off my bedside cabinet. No, it didn’t shut up, so I was forced to get out of bed and pick it off the floor.
I hopped into the shower attached to my room and I shampooed my hair and then added conditioner that was supposed to help my hair color stay in. To be honest it wasn’t really working all that well. I got out of the shower and blow dried my hair then straightened it. Then I got dressed in my Pink Floyd top, ripped skinny jeans, put on my spiky shoes and a little bit of makeup.
I walked downstairs to go make something to eat when I discovered a note.
Dear Lucy,
Your uncle and I both have to go to work early this morning. We are sorry we couldn’t see you off on your first day of school! Make sure Ray shows you around, I’m sure you will love it at Belleville High.

I glanced at the living room clock. It was already 8! I thought to myself, Rays not even out of bed yet. I walked into the kitchen and found the cereal; I poured two bowls. One bowl for him and one bowl for me. I ate mine, there was no way I was waiting for this sleepy head. I was so hungry.
After about five minutes I walked upstairs to find Ray fully clothed combing his afro. Okay at least he’s getting redy… I smiled. “Ray.” I said in a deep voice. “Holy shit” He jumped up from combing his fro “God dam it, you scared me.” “Ha-ha! I got you this time.” I smiled. “You almost made me mess up this awesome fro.” He frowned gesturing to his frizzy hair. “Sorry dude. It’s about time to leave to go to school.” I smiled gesturing to the clock. “Shit!” He exclaimed running down the stairs.
Just after Ray finished breakfast the boys rolled up in the drive way with their beaten up Trans Am. It was sporting a new dent right on the muffler. “Dude what happened?” I asked Mikey while pointing to the muffler. “Aw fuck.” He cursed. “Gerard. What happened to the car?” “Oh. You mean the dent? That was here this morning. I don’t know how it got there.”
We made our way to the school in about fifteen minutes. We got our schedules and I had most of my classes with the guys. I had math with Frank, Ray and Gerard, Art with Mikey and Gerard, English with Ray and Mikey and Frank. I had Drama with just Mikey, and band with Mikey and Ray. Mikey played bass and Ray played Saxophone. Honors Science was the only class I didn’t have with any of the boys.
The first half of the morning was simple. The boys and I had a hard time finding the lockers though, but all of our lockers were relatively close to each others. Frank and I were right next to each other, Mikey was beside Frank, Gerard and Ray was right across from Frank, Mikey and I.
During lunch I kind of got lost, but I found Mikey. “Come on Lucy!” he smiled “Lets go find the others and sit with them.” We walked into the cafeteria and we found Gerard almost instantly. (I spotted his red hair almost instantly.) I sat down between Ray and Frank across from Mikey and Gerard. “Were you too been?” Ray smiled making kissy faces and me and Mikey. “Am I gunna have to beat up Mikey for liking my baby cousin.” “Shut up Princess Fro-Fro.” Mikey smirked.
“Don’t call me that. Got it unicorn boy?” Ray pouted jokingly. “Princess Fro-Fro?” I scoffed giggling. “Great now she knows.” Ray rolled his eyes. “Yeah” Mikey laughed “We all have embarrassing nick names.” “Tell me!” I laughed “I wanna know!”
“Frank is short stuff, I am unicorn boy, and Ray is Princess Fro-Fro.” Mikey laughed rolling his eyes at his name. “What about Gerard doesn’t he have one?” I asked. “Nope, Gee doesn’t have an embarrassing one.” Mikey frowned. “How about fire truck?” I l giggled “Fire truck?” Gerard scoffed. “Well, your hair is fire truck red isn’t it?” I grinned. “Hey. The dye box clearly said Cherry Red.” He laughed. “Let’s just not have nick names anymore.” “Oh come on Gee.” Frank laughed.
The rest of the day went by fast. Yes, I found out Gerard had a girlfriend. Her name was Lyn-Z, she’s pretty awesome. I decided to totally forget my feelings for Gerard, I don’t want to tare up everyone’s friendship because of some feelings I had. I’m over it!
