I'll Find You When The Sun Goes Black
Lucy's POV
I heard a series of banging on my door. I jolted awake and realized where I was, my new home. “Hello? Lucy? Anyone in their?” Ray laughed “Waa…” I moaned sleepily “You wanna come hang with me and the boys?” Ray asked. I’m sure he didn’t actually want me there he was just being polite or whatever. “Um, sure.” I smiled “Just let me get dressed.”
I walked out the door to find Ray sitting in an old beat up, rusty Trans Am with three other boys. One had black hair and tattoos on his hands, another had flaming fire truck red hair and the other boy looked shy with white ray bans and brownish blond hair.
“Hi.” I smiled nervously as I walked towards the Trans Am. “Yo.” All three of the boys replied in unison. They all made eye contact with me. Okay, that’s a good sign I guess, at least they aren’t judging me or anything… I said to myself. “Well, at least she’s hot.” Blurted the one with the flaming fire truck red hair Well that’s just awkward.
“Gerard!” Ray stared at him unhappily “That’s my cousin.” “Calm down.” Gerard laughed “I was just messing around.” I stifled a laugh and the other two boys let out a couple chuckles. “Come on in.” Ray smiled shooting a look at Gerard. I opened to door and scooted in the back seat beside the shy one and the one with tattoos.
“Okay, I’ll introduce you to everyone” Ray smiled “This is Gerard. But you probably knew that already.” He pointed to the one with the crazy red hair. “This is Mikey.” He pointed to the shy one. “And last but defiantly not least this dude is Frank.” He gestured to the one with the tattoos. He drove away in the car and blasted some Anthrax toons.
We drove past Belleville High; it didn’t look like too bad of a school, I mean compared to my last school it couldn’t be that shitty. “Ladies and Gentlemen if you look to the right you will see the shittiest place known to man.” Mikey laughed imitating a tour guide’s voice. The boys broke out into laughter. “Is it that bad?” I questioned. “Yes. It is.” Smirked Frank, as he played with his black hair.
We later on went to Starbucks, and spent a good two hours getting to know each other. The guys were hilarious, and we got along great. Ray was pretty awesome too, he wasn’t a lame cousin like I thought he might have been. They were all pretty cool. We went back over to Frank’s for drinks later on. Ray and I were the only ones who tried to stay sober.
The night went off without a hitch, we all got along great. Frank may or may not have kind of hit on me a little. Or that could be just my imagination. But to be honest, I thought Gerard was pretty cute. But I thought I heard something about him having a girlfriend.
He was pretty cool though, he liked the same music I did. He liked Pink Floyd, Anthrax, The Misfits, and Black Flag. Ray and I walked home. “I think Frank has the hots for you.” He joked around. “Shut up.” I smiled. “So what did you think about the shit hole that’s called Belleville High?” Ray laughed “It didn’t look THAT bad.” I frowned “Don’t worry; it’s not as bad as we say.” Ray smiled. Well that’s good, because if it is, I just don’t know what I would do.
