The Long Lost Daughter

Chapter 2: I Am What?

Bandit P.O.V

"I am what?" I said.

"The long lost daughter of the Ways. As in Gerard and Lindsey." Ty said.

"Uh-uh. No way in hell am I Bandit. I'm Bailey Wayland," I said.

"Bailey Wayland huh?" Ty said crossing his arms.

"Yeah."

"Okay, your first two letters of your first name is B-A, 'bandit' also start with B-A. Your last name! Holy fuck, your last name says it all. Wayland. Do you have a middle name?" Ty asked.

"Yeah. It's Leela," I said slowly.

"And how do you spell that?" Ty said with a smirk.

"L-E-E-L-A, Leela," I said.

"You have Lee in your middle name! You have the same initials as Bandit Lee Way! B-L-W!" Ty said.

"Whoa, calm down boy. How is your ass so sure I'm the long lost daughter of the Ways?" I asked.

"Dude! You look just like Lindsey, a little bit like Gerard, and that picture right there of how you're suppose to look like now, looks exactly like you." Ty said pointing to the picture.

I looked at the picture of Lindsey on his phone. Ty was right, I do look like her. I look at the picture at the bulletin board. Why would my parents kidnap me? Most importantly, my mother.

"You sure?" I asked.

"I'm a hundred percent completely sure." Ty said.

I still think this is all a lie. I mean, any girl can look like Bandit or Lindsey. Bandit can be anywhere. Hell, she can even be in China. Or worse, dead.

I shook the thought of Bandit being dead. She can't be dead. But then again, Ty over here is convince I'm Bandit Lee Way.

When I said I wish I had Gerard and Lindsey as parents before, I didn't mean it literally. Or I didn't mean me being Bandit, the long lost daughter!

I must of been silent for too long because Ty snapped his fingers in front of my face.

"Listen here Bandit or Bailey, if you don't thing you're Bandit, go to this website," Ty said getting a piece of paper out of his pocket and a highlighter and started to write something down. "You'll know right there. It's run by the FBI. They have public records of when that person went missing and things like that."

"How do you know this?" I asked looking at the paper.

"My sister was missing too. We found her through that website." Ty said.

"Oh."

"One thing." Ty began. "When is your birthday?"

"May 27, 2009," I said.

"You are totally Bandit Lee Way," Ty said,

"I'm home!" I yelled once I'm inside the house.

"Bailey, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" My brother yelled from the couch.

"Where's mom?" I asked.

"She went to see Magdalena, she said she'll be back in an hour," Brady said not taking his eyes off the T.V.

"What about dad?" I asked.

"Won't be home until five," Brady said.

I looked at the clock, it was three twenty-five.

"So, we're here alone," I said.

"Yep."

"Can I ask you something?" I said.

"Yeah." Brady said now looking at me.

"I need you to be honest with me." I said. I went to my phone and put up a picture of Lindsey Way. "Do I look like her?"

Brady looked at the picture then at me. He was silent for a moment.

"Yeah. A lot actually. You look like you can be her daughter." Brady said.

"Oh my God," I said.

"What?"

"Okay, tell me if I look a little bit like him," I said pulling a picture out of Gerard Way.

Brady took a long moment before responding.

"Yeah. He looks like he can be your dad," he said.

"Oh fuck!" I said getting up.

"What's wrong," Brady asked.

"Don't tell mom or dad anything you're about to hear. As the matter in fact, don't tell them we even talk about this or anything a couple of minutes ago." I said. "Promise me."

"Promise. Cross my heart!" Brady said.

"Okay. Here it goes. I think I might be the long lost daughter of Gerard and Lindsey Way." I said.

"As in the picture of that man and woman can be your actual parents?" Brady said surprised.

"You mean biological?"

"Yeah."

"Yes," I said.

"Wait, how did they loose you?" Brady asked.

"I said they could be. But I have to find out without my parents knowing." I said.

"Okay, but how did they loose Bandit?" Brady asked.

"Some chick kidnapped Bandit." I said.

"That's awful," Brady said.

"It is. What am I going to do if I am the long lost daughter?" I asked.

"Call the cops," Brady said.

"You're crazy," I said.

Brady just shrugged. "Just, look up your shit when mom and dad are asleep."

"Okay."

I heard a knock on the door as I was doing the dishes.

"I'll get it," Brady called.

"Hello," I heard a low voice say.

"H-hello," Brady stuttered.

"May I speak to your mom and dad?" The voice asked.

"Mom, Dad. There's a man at the door waiting for you." Brady yelled.

I heard mom and dad walk up to the door.

"Good evening sir and madam." The voice said again.

"Good evening sir," my parents said.

"I'm officer Rickey. I'm here to ask you a couple of questions." He said.

"Sure, come in and sit," dad stuttered.

"Do you have a daughter?" Rickey asked.

"Yeah, want me to call her here," mom asked.

"Yes."

"Bailey!" Mom yelled.

I take a deep breath and walk to the living room. A bald man with black glasses sat on the couch while my parents sat on the other one.

"Officer Rickey wants to speak to you," dad eyed me.

"Hi Bailey, please sit down." Officer Rickey said, patting to a spot next to him.

I did what I was told. I don't know why but I feel really scare right now.

"Tell me, Bailey, how old are you?" Asked Officer Rickey.

"Sixteen," I reply.

"Sixteen eh? When did you turn sixteen?"

"Today," I reply.

"Ah. Well then. Very good. You may go back to what ever you were doing." Officer Rickey said.

"Bailey, go to your bedroom. Tell the same thing to Brady," mom said.

I did what I was told. I couldn't hear anything downstairs.

Who am I? Am I Bailey Leela Wayland or am I Bandit Lee Way?
