I Think I Like It - Comments, page 48
If Gee knew more about Cameron I think he would feel less threatened, esp now that things are semi in the open. It's rare to find someone who would react so well. Hes so sweet.
I don't think the age thing is the biggest issue, it's Gee's "issues" and the fact Frank has never had another relationship - plus they both are impulsive and emotionally driven so yeah, bad shit is coming......I can feel it!!! Love it!!! Haha!
Yeah its Bulletproof Heart. Click on my screen name. That's how I check out ppl's stories. I'll chat w someone then check out their stories.

No it's perfect. If ppl dont get it then it's rly there loss. You don't want it to be a neon sign, but I don't think it was too subtle. Not sure if ppl got the full significance of mine but its no fun if youre going spell it out. Right? Mine is Pride and Prejudice which has been done to death, that's what I mentioned. If your going to remake J.Austen at this point, imho add something rly fresh or don't bother. We have 50 great and 100s of meh ones already. Anyways I think you're a wonderful writer a d I'm enjoying this immensely.

Haha thank you! Yeah, I think it's definitely a perfect book to use as a paralell, because in both stories, the characters have to undergo some drastic and often painful lessons in order to reach more understanding and, ultimately, to become happier. I'm so happy someone got it, I was worried it was too subtle haha :)
I agree with you totally, Frank has no idea what he's doing and how to control his hormones and feelings, and Gee is way too dependant on him.
@FrerardFaggot
Ah I see. I forgot about that. You did put that in there. I love your use of To Kill a Mockingbird in this. I wonder how many realize that the point that "characters make changes, sometimes drastic, throughout the story" is a parallel (and I think foreshadowing?) w your story arc? I'm attempting to do the same thing myself in one of my stories so we shall see if I pull it off as well as u. I think both guys need to grow up maturity wise before they're ready for a serious relationship.
@Sharpest_Life_B
That's an interesting take on it. I think it's important to bear in mind that they've known each other for 2 years prior to the story, so are already quite aware of each other's lives (Frank, because Gerard is an open book, and Gerard because he has a "fondness" for Frank). Though, you've touched upon something that Im going to be addressing in the next few chapters, in that Frank begins to doubt whether or not he really loves Gerard (as we've already begun to see). So to answer your question, yes, things are going to be pretty hard on Gee for a while, mostly because it's just implausible for an 18 year old boy to love a 37 year old man in a way that is healthy and equal, and this is especially true in this case, because Gee is already so emotionally sensitive and unstable.
Gee's gonna get his heart broken isn't he? As much as they both claim to love each other, they rly haven't gotten to know too much about each other's lives. They could be building a friendship foundation during the 8 months until Frank graduates.
@FrankiesOneandOnly
Aw don't worry, I don't think I'd be able to handle them being apart for very long either :)
Holy shit Gee.....I have a feeling he's gonna push Frankie too far at some point and fuck things up....gah!!!!
@FrankiesOneandOnly
Definitely. neither of them have any idea of what they're doing. And I'm not saying that shit is coming, I'm just not saying that it's not coming...
