There actually was a version I wrote where Mikey didn't stop him, and Gerard choked Bert to death, and then just left him there on the floor, but it was actually way too fucking dark, and the story would probably have ended right there.
Naturally, I thought this way was better. It means I can get the story back to normal in the next chapter
(which is sort of shmoopy to make up for me being so absent and sad recently)

Gerard is so dark... Yet, still seemingly charming... He seems all murderous when he's texting Frank. "It's okay. I fixed." (The truth is, I nearly killed my ex because he touched you. I wish I killed him... Er, I mean... Ummm... Never mind...)

Its nice to see you're back. I was concerned mostly bc it was out of character (and I hoped everything was ok). Someone's well being is always more important than a story, even a kick ass one. Anytime someone needs some time, they should be allowed to have it w/o being hounded. You've updated more regularly than any story I've ever read on here. I think that's pretty incredible considering I follow about 30+ stories. Those readers w/ any manners will be fine. The rest can shove it.

Of course, I'm glad you didn't kill Frank or Gee just like everyone else. :)
