How did you first heard about them?, page 3
After school in 2007 when I was crying me eyes out and I listened to that song for hours on the internet.
I was like 6 and I heard my brother (who was 13 at the time) play this music, which was Three cheers. I went to his room and saw him putting on eyeliner whilst listening to I'm not okay. He let me into his room and told me everything he knew about them. I 'borrowed' the CD and I still have it and he STILL doesn't know where it is!!!
It was probably last Febuary. I was on YouTube and I was watching this video someone made. It had anime pictures in it and it had this song called "Teenagers". The name of the video was "Teenagers by MCR". I had no idea what MCR stood for but whatever it was, they sounded awesome. The pictures in the video matched perfectly with the words. I watched it over and over, I loved this song. But I eventually grew out of it. A few months later I decided to google MCR and I saw them. The most beautiful and inspirational people I have ever seen. That's when my obsession began.....and it's never going to end.
I heard their song at first when my friend wrote 'i'm not okay, i promise' and she sang it in class. At first, I thought it just some girly song that my friend always sing. When we watched 'the black parade' music video, she started to screamed and told me this is the band. On that moment, I just can't take my eyes off Gee and the only word that I have to responded her was 'wow'. It has been 7 years now but I still listen to them:)
I don't exactly know how old I was but I was in the car with my mom on they way to my aunts house and I heard this song on the radio that i never heard before so i asked my mom to turn it up. I liked how slow it started out then went all quite then it got up beat. then I heard this guy start singing "When I was a young boy, my father, took me into the city to see a marching band. He said, 'Son when you grow up will you be the savior of the broken, the beaten and the damned?'" I was instantly hooked. when I arrived at my aunts house I heard something coming from downstairs so I went to go check it out. when I got halfway down the stairs I noticed that it was the piano beginning so I quickly ran down the stairs to notice that my uncle was playing the music video. without hesitation I asked him what this song was called and he told me "it's Welcome To The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance" I asked him to put it on my MP3 player I had. when I got it back I had like a whole playlist of their songs. i didnt really understand the lyrics at that age but now that im older (im 17) and actually listened to the lryics makes me love them 100x more :)
Then I saw the lead singer, Gerard, when he had his really short, white hair and I was completely freaked out because hey, I'm a little kid.
Anyway I though he was a complete psycho for a while but I absolutely loved their music no matter what.
Unfortunately I strayed away from the MCRmy for little while in my high school years, deciding to go with the kind of music everyone else listened to (regret) and I didn't ever get to see them live because of that.
I eventually came back though, unfortunately a few weeks after their last Australian concert.
Then they did the thing so yeah, that didn't work out too well.
I can always hope that they'll change their minds and do one last tour though.
*fingers eternally crossed.*
