How did you first heard about them?

Okay, I first heAt the bottom of a box, I seen the Black Parade album, and I seen the song 'Welcome To The Black Parde' and I remember loving it when I was 8{I'm 14 now} and I played it on my laptop, and I LOVED IT EVEN MORE!!!
And also remembering how I didn't get the lyrics when I was 8, and it used to be my sisters, but she must have forgot it or something.
Ever since, I was hooked.

So what's you story? I'd love to hear about it.
I heard them when I seen a music video of Desolation row and instantly fell in love with them (at the time I was all about Linkin Park and Good Charlotte) so yeah ever since then they saved my life and been my fav band, idk how long ago that was but I'm 16 now.

@Destroys!!!
That's cool. Now that you think about it, I kind of remember my sister telling me a long, long time ago about the Helena music video. I was 8 when Black Parade came out, so of course I wouldn't understand the lyrics. Again, I was 8.
I can't remember what the exact moment was. I do remember hearing"I'm Not Ok" on the radio and I also recall watching the "Helena" and "Ghost of You" music videos on tv. So it was something from the "Revenge" era that captured my attention in 2005.

I remember hearing songs like Teenagers, Famous Last Words, and Welcme to the Black Parade on the radio when I was younger, but I never could find the songs on YouTube. Even though I hadn't listened to them in a few years, I still found myself singing the words in my head. My step-brother was the one who showed them to me ironically enough since we hate each other. Since I didn't like music as much as I do now, I never looked up any of their other songs. But my friend Jordan made me and I've loved them ever since. That was over a year and a half ago. Although my music tastes have changed and adapted from BOTDF and BVB to Nicki Minaj to Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift and now to SWS ATL PTV OM&M...that stuff...MCR has still remained my favorite. It's the worst thing imaginable that they have broken up.

The first time I heard them was when I was 6 I was already into metal (an a full metal head) because of my dad :) I was sitting in my room an my brother was playing music. I was listening kinda then the next song that played was I'm Not Okay. Gerard's voice hit me an I ran into my brothers room an demanded to know what this amazing band was. He said "welcome to the world of My Chemical Romance" then handed me his Bullets album an Revenge album. From that day I have listened to them an loved them. Now I am 16 an if it wasn't for My Chemical Romance being there for me I know I wouldn't be alive.

I found a lyric vid for teenagers under a greenday video on youtube. I rememer imediatly being able to relate to it as im the youngest in my family...there is something really scary about watching your siblings grow up around you and feeling like they dont want you around anymore.my chemical romance has helped me in so many ways and even though they aren't together anymore im alot happier than I was before I found them!!:)

I was about four or five, my sister had a party and my mom invited one of her friend's daughters, her name is like, Victoria or something. She asked me if I heard about a band called My Chemical Romance, I told her 'no' and she showed me the song Helena, just because that's my name.

GREATEST. PARTY. EVER. :D
I first heard Helena when I was 7 or 8, but I had no clue who it was by. Then I saw them do NaNaNa in times square on new years eve and I LOVED it. I looked them up and started listening to everything they ever did after that.
Well I actually remember hearing Na Na Na on sims 3 in the simlish version and playing it on a loop on my sims 3 radio when I was about eleven. But after a while I forgot about it until about a year later one day one of my friends started to sing Teenagers on the bus and I was like teach me the lyrics and then that day I went home and begged my dad for the black parade album and ever since I've been a recruit in the MCRmy. I'm thirteen now but my birthday is soon and I'm getting the last edition to my MCR collection which is the Black Parade Is Dead! And I'm saving up for a party poison jacket!!!

Was randomly browsing the free "On Demand" songs on my TV when I was about 10. Found Vampires Will Never Hurt You and thought it sounded interesting. I played it and instantly fell in love with it. Been a fan ever since.
When I was little my brother really liked them but I didnt. He used to play them all the time. Then about 3 months a go my best friend started to like them and she showed me the song teenagers in our French lesson. That night I went home and listened to loads of songs and watched loads of interviews. I have loved them ever since. They have helped me so much in the last few months and i don't know what i would done without them.

I saw them on Saturday Night Live singing Welcome To The Black Parade back in 2006. I was 12 at the time and I loved it. I remember watching the re-run of it to see them again, but I didn't have internet so there was no way of finding out more about them and I forgot.
I am a huge fan of Green Day and a couple years ago I was watching an interview with Billie Joe where he had short blond hair and it just triggered the memory. I remembered Gerard standing there and singing "When I was a young boy, my father, took me into the city to see a marching band. He said, 'Son when you grow up will you be the savior of the broken, the beaten and the damned?'" And I rememered something about a Parade. So I went and looked up the lyrics and I've loved them ever since.
