Mikey's New Band

I'm sure that, by now, many of you have already heard about Mikey's new band, Electric Century. So far, the confirmed members are Mikey Way, Dave Debiak, and Justin Siegel, and they'll be releasing a new track, "I Lied," on the 26th.

I can't really find the words to accurately say how excited I am. Being a Mikey fan this past year has been pretty difficult, considering all the shit he's been through, so seeing something positive for once really makes me feel that warm, fuzzy feeling. I suppose that I'll just have to say this: I can't wait to be a part of this fandom.

(Please don't dog on Mikey's new band simply because you hate Mikey. It's kind of a bitchy move. Just thought I'd say that...)

I actually quite like his band. I think it's good for him to go out and develop as a musician in his own right instead of staying in his brother's shadow,.

Agreed. I'm so excited to see what they do next! (I constantly refresh their Twitter page for any news.) I'm glad to see that Mikey's really come out of his shell and is moving on from My Chem.

I like the new band, I can't wait to hear more. But Mikey sounds like gerard only he can go so much higher. You can hear him in the background.

I am really excited for their album to come out! I freaking love it. I listened to "I Lied" for days and my god. It's dark but uplifting but.. something else. I think it's wonderful Mikey is moving on and forward and I think it'll be really good.
