GERARDS POV
I lay awake in my bed, it was morning and the sunlight was glistening through my window. I would have to face Josh again today, I was sure I would have to relive yesterdays beating. At least i would have Frank to help get through the day. He was amazing. The fact that he had came looking for me and helped me afterwards made me feel so happy. I began to think of being with him today, I could feel butterflies in my stomach. Wait, those feelings again. I wasn’t gay, i never got this with any other guy. Maybe it was just Frank? He was beautiful…. did that still make me gay? The door slowly creaked open and my thoughts left me as a tired Mikey tip toed over.
“Gee,” he whispered.
“I’m awake, Mikey” I called back to him as I sat myself upright in my bed.
“Oh good, I think we should head to school early before mum wakes up” he continued, “your face is badly bruised now and if she sees then..”
“Okay, okay” I quickly intercepted him. “I’ve been awake for ages anyway, I didn't get much sleep.” I sighed.
“Because of Josh?” he asked, I could see him becoming tense.
“Yeah” i lied. It wasn’t really a lie, I had been worried about him. But it was Frank that had kept me up all night, he just wouldn’t leave my thoughts.
“I swear, if he touches you again i’ll..”
“You’ll do nothing” I said once again interrupting him. “I don’t want you getting hurt.” I told him, we were both protective over each other. Always looking out for each other.
“Yeah, well. We’ll see” he mumbled under his breath. "I’m going to get ready now, you should do the same” he said as he left the room. I got up and quickly began to get dressed.
FRANKS POV
Mum had parked around a corner from school, I always loved getting lifts from her but I would hate it if any of the other kids seen. I didn't want to seem any more of a loser than i already was.
“Now remember and text me if you need to.” Mum informed me as she kissed me on the cheek.
“I will” I replied back giving her a smile to stop her from worrying. She didn’t know about most of the things that went on at school, but she had a general idea. Some things weren’t as easy to hide from her. She had got the occasional phone call here and there. Sometimes I would just walk out of school if my day had been too rough and she’d find me walking about.
“Bye, Mum,” I said as I kissed her back on her cheek and exited the car shutting my door behind me. She waved from behind the glass before she drove away.
I was glad I was as close to my mum as I was, but at times I wish she didn’t have to worry about me. I began to walk over to school. I began thinking about Gerard, I hoped he was okay now. It had been such a horrible first day for him. He didn’t deserve that at all, he was such an incredible guy. People needed to realize that and see him the way i seen him. Talking about seeing him, as i turned the corner there was him and Mikey.
“Hey!” I smiled, my voice filled with joy as I seen Gerard smiling back. I could vaguely see his eyes through strands of his messy black hair. He had the most adorable eyes from what i could see.
“Hey, Frank!” he replied, a smile grew onto his face and he pushed his hair to the side to see me. I could see him in more detail now, I had forgotten how beautiful he was. I felt myself melt as I looked into his hazel eyes.
“Do you want to meet Bob and Ray today?” I said shaking myself out of my trance.
“You have to Gee, they are amazing!” Mikey added excited at the thought of us all meeting.
“Sure.” Gerard shrugged, his smile fading.
“Wait, whats wrong?” i asked sympathetically, i didn't like seeing Gerard upset.
“It's just, they wont want to talk to me, I’m different” Gerard shrugged.
“No, dont say that! I think you're amazing” I told him trying to cheer him up, “Plus these two are really weird themselves,” I looked over to Mikey, “Aren’t they?” I asked waiting for him to back me up.
“Yeah! They act like five year olds, and they didn’t mind putting up with me!” Mikey added in attempt to reassure Gerard. It seemed to work.
“I hope you're both right” He sighed trying to force a smile.
MIKEYS POV
We all walked through the gates and were greeted by Bob and Ray.
“Hey, Mikey!” Bob called, “Ah, you’ve met Frank!” he smiled.
“Yeah, he was with my brother all day yesterday” I replied as Frank and I looked over to Gerard to show who I was talking about.
“Hi” Ray began to introduce himself as he reached his hand out to greet Gerards, Gerard took it and shyly gave it a shake. “My name is Ray,” he continued, “and this is my boyfriend Bob!” He laughed as he pointed over to Bob.
“You wish!” Bob laughed.
“I’m Gerard” My brother replied smiling at their playfulness.
I was distracted from everyone as a beautiful girl walked past me, it was Jennifer. I remembered I had her book that she had forgotten from yesterday.
“Hold that thought guys, there’s something I need to do” I said over to everyone not waiting for a reply. I made my way over to Jennifer, she had sat on a bench by herself. I sat myself next to her.
“Hi, I’m Mikey” I said looking over and taking in her beauty. Wait, why had i said that. I don't know how many times i had introduced myself to her now. Shit, i felt my palms sweat. “Don’t blow this, Mikey” I thought to myself.
“Yeah, i’ve got it” she replied laughing. Her smile was amazing, I felt a smile grow on my own face.
“I just came over to give you this” I said as I pulled my bag off my shoulder and reached into it pulling out her book.
“Oh, thank you!” she replied, “I thought I had lost that” she added.
“Yeah, you didn’t pick it up in biology so I thought I would give it to you” I told her still smiling. I was about to speak again but I was stopped as I felt her arms surrounding me, I pulled her tighter. I took in her scent, she smelled of berries. I then slowly pulled away. She placed her book into her own bag as I tried to stop myself from blushing.
“You have a beautiful name.” I said, trying not to sound like a dork.
She just looked up and smiled.
“Mikey?” She asked.
“Yes?” I replied back once again becoming lost in her eyes.
“You know how in biology we have to do that assignment with a parter?” She asked biting her lip. It was the cutest thing ever.
“Yeah” I replied with a smile growing on my face. I didn't know though. Oh god, how long had I been day dreaming for yesterday.
“Well I was wondering if it would be alright if we did it together?” she continued, "It’s just that, I dont really know anyone else in the class apart from you.” She shyly looked away.
“Yeah, thats a great idea. I’m sure I wouldn’t have had anyone to do it with either anyway” I grinned. Oh dear, I hope I didn't look too happy at the suggestion.
“Oh good, so do you want to meet up after school to work on it?” She asked blushing.

“Sure, you could come to my house if that's ok.” I smiled.
