FRANKS POV
Once I had reached Gerards house I ran to the front door and started knocking on it. There was no reply. I peeped my fingers through the mail slot and put my face towards it to shout on him.
“Gerard, It’s Frank.” A few minutes later I could hear muffled footsteps.
“Just wait” I heard him call back so I did.
Not long after Gerard opened the door fully dressed wearing jeans and a batman hoody.
“Um, Hi” He stuttered.
“Hey,” I smiled, “Mikey was saying you weren’t coming in to school and I hated the thought of leaving you on your own so I thought i’d come and spend today with you.” He was blushing now. “Gets me out of school too!” I added with a cheeky wink which made Gerards smile grow. I loved it when he smiled.
“Yeah, sure. Come in” He opened the door wider allowing me to pass into his house once again. I always loved being at Gerard’s. He led me up the stairs and into his room, I hadn’t been in his room before. The walls were covered with posters and band cut outs, I also noticed a few sketches here and there.
“Did you draw that?” I asked pointing to once picture in particular. It seemed to be a vampire but it was drawn in a cartoon style. He simply nodded with a smile.
“It’s amazing!” I said once again scanning the room. I then noticed a pile of comics sitting on his chest of drawers. “You never told me you liked comics!” I said as I rushed over to them examining them closer. I looked back to Gerard who was hanging his head low.
“I didn’t want you to realise how much of a dork I am.” He sighed.
“Oh, Gerard. You’re so silly. I love comic books!” I told him and his face lit up again. I walked over to him taking his hand and sitting with him on the neatly made bed. I realized Gerard had tensed up now. I let go of his hand not wanting him to think I had ulteriour motives.
“Gee, Mikey’s really worried about you.” I told him, Gerards face once again dropped. “He says you’ve been acting..well not yourself.” I added.
“Just worried about Josh.” He simply said. I shook my head in disbelief, he always said this to everything now. He needed to learn it wasn’t a good excuse anymore.
“That’s not it, I know it’s not.” I told him.
He simply looked at me, then i noticed the tears in his eyes. This time he was the one to reach out for a hug. I pulled him closer rubbing his back. “Gerard, You can tell me anything.” I whispered to him. He didn’t say anything instead he just squeezed me tighter. So there was something that he was hiding.
GERARDS POV
Oh god. What am I meant to do. I can’t tell him about Josh though, Josh would kill him. Literally. Fuck, this was a mess. I needed to stop the tears and maybe try and change the subject. I pulled Frank off me and smiled. “I love you.” I told him.
“I love you too, and you know that right?” He said back. I nodded smiling. Every time Frank told me that he loved me I felt amazing, I felt like i could do anything I wanted or even be anything I wanted. I pulled him closer and tenderly kissed his lips slowly pulling away again. Well this was certainly one way to change the subject. This time Frank was the one initiating the kiss, our lips moved in sync. This moment was perfect, nothing mattered apart from Frank. I kissed him back rougher and harder. I felt his gentle fingers stroke my hair. I lowered my head and began kissing on his neck. I felt his hands glide down my sides then felt them on my crotch. He began unbuckling my belt. Suddenly things didn’t feel so good and flashbacks of Josh entered my thoughts. I quickly jerked from him and pushed him away from me. Hurt filling his eyes.
“I’m, I’m sorry.” He mumbled blushing, “I shouldn’t have..”
“No! It’s fine, I don’t know i just got a bit nervous.” I said biting on my lip. I would have continued where we had left off the moment had passed, well it was most definatley gone for me anyway. I sighed, what if this happened every time me and Frank got close like that.
“Don’t worry, we don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to.” he said with a comforting smile. How ironic those words were.
“Aren’t you the gentleman.” I said teasing him. Frank giggled at me.
“So, what are we going to do instead then?” Frank asked grinning, obviously forgetting about our conversation before. Wow.
“I don’t know but coffee sounds good to me right now!” I said smiling.
“Gee, you drink enough coffee to kill yourself!” He laughed, “How about we watch a film instead. Do you have any good DVD’s?”
Was he seriously denying me of my coffee. I glared at him.
“Or you could always drink some coffee as we watch a film?” He said as he seen my reaction.
“Sounds good to me.” I said smiling before kissing him on the cheek and getting off the bed.
We walked downstairs again and I showed Frank the way to the living room. I walked over to he shelf filled with books and DVD’s at one side of the room as Frank sat himself down on the couch across from the TV.
“What kind of films do you like?” I asked scanning the selection.
“Hmm, I feel like watching a good horror film if I’m honest” He called over.
“Saw?” I asked as I seen the DVD hidden among the others.
“Haven’t you got anything jumpy? Saw isn’t scarey.” He said disagreeing.
I pulled out another DVD that caught my eye and chucked it over to Frank.
“The Ring? Now you’re talking” He smiled as he examined the case.
I walked over to him taking the case back off him to place the film into the DVD player below the tv. Once I had done so I cuddled up next to him on the couch.
About 20 minutes into the film I realized something, I had no fucking coffee. I sighed and wriggled out of Franks arms.
“Whats wrong, you too scared” He said teasing me.
“No, I just want some coffee.” I said as he rolled his eyes at me.
“Fine.” He chuckled,” Just hurry up.” he smiled and I left him in the room by himself.
Once I had my coffee I quickly returned to the room and sat snuggled against Frank. I felt safe with him, even when we were watching a scary film. I started sipping on my coffee as the music in the film faded. Shit, I hated scenes that made you jump. I began pushing myself deeper into the seat as I waited for something to jump out at me. Frank noticed me and put one arm around me pulling me tighter into his safety. Suddenly the tv screen was filled with the face of a dead girl and the room was filled with screeching noises from the film. I jumped and spilt my coffee all over myself.
“Fuck.” I snapped noticing Frank trying to hold back a laugh from the corner of my eye. I turned to him and glared at him. “It’s fucking hot.” I growled and he sighed at me.
“Just take off your hoody then, you are wearing a top underneath, right?” He chuckled.
“Obviously!” I laughed back at him as I started to pull off my batman hoody. I threw it to the side and looked back at Frank. I reached out to cuddle and rested my head against his chest.
“Um, Gee?” his voice sounding worried.
“Yeah?” I asked him still focusing on the TV.
“What are they?” He asked.
I didn’t realize what he was talking about at first but when I looked up at him I noticed he was looking at my wrists.
Oh fuck. I felt my throat go dry. How stupid could I have been. Shit.
