GERARDS POV
“Gerard Arthur Way, if you are not up in the next five minutes I will drag you out of that bed” I heard mum shouting from behind the door. “Your brother has managed to put some effort into today, this is your first day at this high school and you cannot be late” she continued.
“Okay!, im getting up” I moaned to stop her from talking. Mikey walked into the room and sat on the edge of my bed.
“Come on gee, this might actually turn out fun.” he said trying to convince a smile, I knew he didn’t really think that. We both hated high school. Before we moved to New Jersey we were practically victims in our last school. Mikey didn’t really know how to socialise with others too good, I suppose I was the same. It wasn’t that I didn’t know how to, I would just rather be drawing or reading a good book than talking to someone. “I mean, if we actually try and make friends, we could fit right in here.” he paused, “We did used to live here afterall”.
“Mikey, will you stop all that talking and let your brother get dressed” a voice called from outside the room.
“Yes mother” Mikey replied. “Just think about it, Gee.” he sighed as he left the room.
He could be right, there was a chance this could work out. I tried to think positivly as I sat upright in my bed. My clothes for today sat neatly on the chair next to my cupboard. I picked myself up and walked over to them, as I passed the mirror I attempted to gussy myself up. My hair was a mess, covering my eyes. I hadn’t any time to mess around with it so i just tried to tuck what i could behind my ears and left it. I picked up my shirt and put it on, once again trying to fix it in the mirror. I sighed into the reflection, why did I have to look how I did.
MIKEYS POV
Gerard was taking ages, I really wanted to make a good first impression at school today but that wasn't going to happen unless he moved his butt. I sat at the bottom of the staircase, Gerards room was through the door just across the top of the stairs
“Gee!”, I called hastily, “Please would you jus..” I stopped what I was about to say as a grumpy Gerard pushed by me.
“Look, im ready, are you happy now?” He snarled.
“Very” I said, not sounding happy at all. I loved Gerard but he was always so annoying.
“Mhhm, are we walking then or is mum taking us?” He asked me.
“Lets just walk, its five minutes from here anyway” I said eagirly.
We both made our way out the door. “Bye mum” we chanted.
“I didn’t even get any coffee” Gerard moaned as we made our way to school.
“Well if you weren’t so lazy you would have had plenty of time to, I did”. I said still annoyed at the fact it had taken him so long to get out of the house.
“Yeah well maybe i’m not a geek like SOME people” Gerard snapped back.
HA. Gerard Way, the book worm calling me a geek. “Your heads never out of a bloody book!” I replied quickly.
“Thats because I actually know how to read” He answered me, almost with shock.
Our arguement came to a hault as we approached the school gates. Everyone was standing in their little huddles. Me and Gerard looked at each other blankly. We were the newbies. Nobody knew us, and once again we were back at the bottom of the food chain.
“Well this fucking sucks” Gerard spitted as he leaned against a tree next to the gates, I could tell he didnt want to walk in making a scene.
“No, you’ve only just got here, i'm sure we’ll meet people in class. Do you have your leaflet you had been given before the summer?” I asked trying to reassure him. Gerard was never confident with anything, I hated it.
“Yeah, its in my bag, want me to check yours too and see what we’re both at?” He replied already on his knees rumaging through his bag.
“Why do you even have mine, but yeah, sure” I said looking up at the people inside. There were a group of three boys in the corner. Two larger boys and one small one. The small one seemed to be trying to gain the others attention, i chuckled at his attempts.
“What are you laughing at” called Gerad still trying to find the leaflets.
“How much do you even have in that bag Gee?, and i'm laughing at those guys over there, check out the small one!” i replied still chuckling.
“I’ll look once i’ve found.. got them !” Gee exclaimed happily. He pulled out two leaflets and handed one over to me then glanced over to the boys. "Oh god, you can tell the little guy is a show off” he said with a huge grin on his face then bringing his focus back to his leaflet. “I’m at art!” he said happily.
“There you go, told you that you would enjoy yourself today !” I smiled, “I’m at..” i read through my leaflet finding my schedule, “Aw, shit” I sighed
“Whats wrong?” Gerard looked at me with worrying eyes. He may be annoying but he was always so caring for me.
“I’ve got Gym to go to, and I didn’t bring anything to change into!” I groaned.
The shrill clang of the bell brought our conversation to an end, “I guess since the Gym Hall isn’t in the school thats us going our seperate ways” Gerard annouce trying to make me smile by being overly dramatic.
I went along with it, “I wont let go, jack” I playfully recited from titanic gripping his shoulders.
“Dude, too far.” Gerard laughed, playfully pushing me off. “See you later, bro!” he added as he walked off.
“Bye!” I smiled.

ORIGINAL NOTES: First chapter to my first story ! Woop :DHey! Thanks for reading my story. I originally posted this onto my mibba account, I started on the 13th of July back in 2011, I had only just turned 15 so my writing has improved a lot, however a lot of people seemed to enjoy this story so I wanted to share it. I never completed it and only reached chapter 24. However, once i have posted chapter 24 onto this site, if this gains enough readers on this site that enjoy it, then I would like to continue the story. I am planning to post a chapter each day or two. I guess you could try and look it up on mibba, but that would ruin the excitement, i reccomend sitting back and enjoying the story as it develops.
