I awoke to the sound of a bang. Holy crap what was that? I panicked. I scanned the room and it must have just been the wind. I grabbed my iPhone and realized I forgot to text Mikey back. Woops I replied to his text with a quick ‘No there isn’t any science homework’ and apologized for not texting back. I was about to get redy when I glanced at the clock. Shoot! Its five thirty! I must have woken him up! I worried. But instead he texted back ‘You’re awake too?’
Mikey and I’s conversation continued for the next half hour he told me more about himself. Like what kind of music he liked, what TV shows he watched, and what activities he participated in. I found out that we had a lot in common! I glanced at the clock it was already six, I explained to him that I had to go get redy and he offered to drive me and the rest of the boys too school!
My mom was already up and making pancakes by the time I was redy “Hey Rosie!” she laughed. She knew I hated that name. I rolled my eyes “Mom, do not call me that!” She just erupted into laughter. “By the way I’m catching a ride with Mikey today.” I exclaimed while stuffing my face with pancakes; they were my favorite. “Oh, la, la. Rosie has a boyfriend.” my mom chuckled. “Oh come on. He is not! His brother and friends are going to be there.”
Mikeys run down old beater rolled into my drive way at eight o’clock. “Well, mom I’ve got to go! Mikey is here!” I hollered out the door. “Okay sweetie! Have a great day!” she replied from the bath room. I plunked myself into the passenger seat and chucked my back pack into the back of he car. “Ouch!” hollered Gerard “That hurt!” “Uh, oops, I didn’t mean too.” I blushed. Everyone in the car burst out laughing. “Its fine, Don’t worry! Gerard is just a baby!” Frank smirked smacking Gerard in the side.
While driving Mikey turned up some music is was my favorite Anthrax song: Bring The Noise. So I just started singing along. “Whoa dude you like Anthrax? That’s like my favorite band!” Mikey smiled. “This bitch isn’t so bad!” Frank laughed. “Ha ha very funny Frank” I laughed.
As we rolled into the student parking lot Beth gave me the look again, then she just glared at the whole group. “Fuck you too Beth.” Ray laughed while flipping her off. When she was out of ear shot I wondered what the hell? What was that about. “So what’s that chicks deal? She was all nice to me and just started being a hag.” I scoffed. “Don’t ask. That bitch has some serious issues.” Mikey whispered “Don’t let her get too you.”
We all walked into school as a group, all of the boy’s lockers were close to mine. Except for Gerard’s his was all the way on the other end of school. First period was all girls Gym class, it totally sucked. I was never one for sports. In my old school everyone teased me for being a total klutz. But, I did get to meet some new friends. I met Trish; she had olive skin and black hair. I also met Avery; she was tall thin with red hair.
During break I got a text from Mikey he wanted to know if I could hang out with him and the boys after school to celebrate the first week of school be completed. Of course I said yes! The rest of the day went pretty well, I talked to some new people. Belleville High is pretty cool. By the end of the day Mikey, Ray, Frank, Gerard and I ran into the car and drove off to Mikeys. “Hey lets go to the store and get some booze!” Frank laughed. “How do you plan on getting any if you’re not even old enough, genius?” I snorted.
By the time we got to Mikey and Gerard’s place it was like six o’clock. Gerard insisted on buying a shit load of food. Gerard turned on the Play Station 3 and started playing Call of Duty. “Hey Rose? You any good at this?” he smirked. “Maybe” I giggled. “I bet you can’t beat me!” Gerard challenged “I’m great at this game.” “Gerard you’re so full of shit!” Mikey snorted “I bet Rose could kick your ass!”
Gerard was in the lead for a little while, I hadn’t played COD in a long time I stopped playing after I broke up with my Boyfriend. We use to play it all the time when we were together. But my experience kicked in and I ended up kicking his butt by a long shot. “Way to go!” Ray yelled, passing me a beer “Here drink up!” “Uh, sorry man I don’t drink.” I frowned passing it back to him.
By the end of the night Ray was REALLY drunk. Frank and Gerard were just slightly drunk, Mikey and I were the only sober people. “How are Frank and Ray going to get home?” Gerard said slurring his words. “I could drive them home.” Mikey offered “Do you want to come with me Rose?” “Yeah sure” I smiled blushing. I hope it’s not obvious I like him!
Once Mikey and I were done driving everyone home, he dropped me off and walked me to my door. “Good night Rose! Thanks for helping me with the guys!” he smiled. “You’re welcome Mikey!” as I was about to walk away Mikey gave me a hug. Oh gosh. He let go and smiled at me and turned and walked to his car and drove off.
As soon as I walked into the house I heard the laughter of my mom. “Oh my gosh he totally likes you!” she said in between giggles. I just rolled my eyes and said “Okay mom. I’m going to bed now!” The laughter faded as I walked up the pale white stairs.
I changed into my baggy Queen T-Shirt and black pajama shorts. I passed buy my night stand and grabbed my pink spiral note book and scrawled down my adventures over the past days. I wrote for about an hour and glanced at the clock wow its ten already I better get to sleep. I climed back into my bed and drifted off into deep sleep.
