Nothing can compare to Insanity

Ch 2

The next morning, Gerard had no idea where he was. It definitely wasn't his hospital room. There was a closet with no doors & no clothes, only a pack of hangers; There was a bathroom, which, ironically, had no bath, just a shower; The sink was shallow & it had a large metal drain at the bottom; The toilet had a thick plastic seat & a hand railing nearby. There was an analog clock hung high on the wall that showed six fifty-seven. There was a door, but Gerard wasn't wearing anything suitable for going out in. Although, he didn't have anything else at all. He was wearing a teal hospital robe that tied down the back, but his strings were pulled to his front to be tied in a bow. Three minutes passed when a knock at the door made him jump, a male voice for asked for entrance. "Come in," Gerard said, uncertainly. A man with dark skin & a hair net slipped into Gerard's room. The man was holding a pair of thin dark blue pants & a loose light blue button up shirt that resembled something you would wear as pajamas. "Hello, Gerard? You're Gerard right?" The man was speaking in a kind voice. "Yes." "Alright, I brought some clothes for you, breakfast starts in half an hour." The man left quietly. "Thank you." Gerard stated simply before dressing. Gerard was in an insane asylum. Fuck.

Gerard got dressed in the ugly clothing the nurse had brought in & stepped outside of his room to find the man waiting with a boy by the end of the hall. "Hey Gerard, come over here please. We have to wait for one more person, then we can head over to the dining room for breakfast." After a girl joined the trio of men, they went around a corner & through the hallway into a large room. The room had many tables, some of them pushed together & chairs all around them. The nurse told Gerard to find a seat anywhere as he stopped to let the girl take a seat. Gerard thanked him & looked around to find a place to sit when he saw the most beautiful man he had ever seen. If he was straight, he knew that he'd go gay.(okay so I know that isn't how it works but it's an analogy) He was whispering to the big ball of hair beside him. Gerardd walked gingerly towards them, "May I sit here?" He asked, pointing to a chair. "Oh sure man," replied the pretty boy, "what's your name? You're new." Gerard extended his hand, "uh, I'm Gerard." "I'm Frank, nice to meet you, but I'm kinda germaphobic. I don't do handshakes." Then Frank gestured to the male hairball beside him & introduced him, "this is Ray. He will shake your hand, I think." They passed the meal with a bit of conversation between Frank & Gerard, Frank agreed to help Gerard find his way a bit for his first few days. There was to be a group therapy/an introduction session after breakfast & a few more events, but Gerard didn't really remember. When they finished the food, they stacked their dishes at the end of the table & Frank offered to take them to the cart, so he took the three plates & left. Before Frank returned, Ray tugged on Gerard's arm to bring him a bit closer over the table & muttered into his ear, "Hi Gerard, I really like you. If you want I can, you know, help you settle in." Gerard leaned back. "Thanks Ray, that would be very kind of you. I assume that you & Frank are friends?" Ray nodded. Many of the residents were gone or leaving to go to the b side comfort room for group. Frank came back & suggested that they join the rest of the b side residents in group.

So this is how hell starts. Breakfast & therapy.
