Save Me

I was awoken by my cell phone going off and 'The Longest Day by Iron Maiden' Playing.
"What" I groaned, not looking at caller id.
"Hello to you too Big Bro, Got a big day today, get up and get into school, oh and have a shower!"
"Whatever" I hung up, I wasn't ready, I didn't know why i became a teacher, i despise School. Despite not wanting to do what Mikey said, I got up and had a shower.

I put on my Clothes which was black Skinnies, a white shirt and a black tie. I then got my lesson plans together. Having to go in early, I went in at 7:00, to see the Principle.

I walked into the office and saw Mr Wilson's secretary Miss Williams.
"Hello Hayley, I’m here to see Matt" I said strolling up to the desk.
"Oh yes, he is waiting for you" she said with a smile.
"Thank you Hayley" I said nodding my head and started walking down the small corridor and knocked on his door.
"Come in?" I walked in and tried to look confident.
"Hello Matthew" I tried to say confidently, I don't know whether I succeeded.
"Nervous, Gerard?" he said with a smirk, he noticed.
"Extremely" I stated honestly
"Don’t be, I wanted to give you a quick tour, but I don't have time, so I will ask a student in your home room to do it a lunch, okay?" I gulped a student.
"Ye-ah, that would be fine" I said rather hesitantly, I’m sure he noticed
"Don’t worry, I will pick one that is trustworthy, now go along and ask Hayley to show you to your classroom."
"Thank you Matt" I walked out the room and sighed, why didn't I die when I had the chance?
I shook my head at the thought. Bad Gerard.
I still had to be shown my classroom "Hayley, would you mind showing me my classroom and class schedule?"
"Of course I wouldn't mind" she said whilst standing up "follow me, Gee." And with that she started walking quickly down the corridor.

I got into my classroom and set up my desk as best that I could, and when I was done I sat down and sighed. I noticed I had 15 minutes for my Home Room students to arrive so I quickly got up and decided to get a coffee from the staff room, they're the only places I know apart from Matt's office, but it doesn't help because its only 5 rooms down from my classroom.

By the time I had a coffee and made one to go, I was pretty sure my class would be waiting outside my room, so I walked down the corridor to my room, and entered noticing there were 3 people already sitting at the back. They all looked at me when I entered and I noticed it was two girls and a boy. I walked up to them and leant on the desk next to them. The girl with brown long hair spoke "Hi, who are you?" I was shocked! Who do they think I could be?
"I'm Mr Way, I think I should be asking that question to you three?" I said, starting to get slightly annoyed.
"Err, sorry about her" the red head spoke, "that's Heidi, this is Callum and I’m Helena, we are in your tutor group" she stated.
"Oh okay, well nice to meet you, I’m going to leave you to it now." I said and walked off, I decided to get first period’s instruction sheets out and place them on my desk, whilst getting the right register as well. By the time I had done that everyone else had turned up. Time to shine Gee.

"Hello class, I am Mr Way, but that makes me feel old so call me Gerard. I'm going to take the register, hopefully I will get to know you all soon" they stayed silent, just staring at me; I was beginning to wonder if they could talk.
"Um, okay so. Billie Armstrong?,

I noticed that Mikey and Callum were meant to be in the year above but didn’t want to be in their homerooms, I mean I knew Mikey was bullied but I wanted to be nosy and hear Cullum’s story. Also I didn't have the name Helena on here; I guess I will have to ask where she is supposed to be. "You can all talk quietly to each other now, thanks" as soon as I said that I walked over to Heidi, Callum and Helena.
"Hey, Helena, you weren't on my list, you sure you're meant to be here?"
Heidi laughed "Yeah sir" I interrupted
"Gerard"
"Sorry Gerard.” She said my name with more emphasis than normal. “I am meant to be here, my actual name is Conscience, but I don't like it, so I get called by my middle name Helena" she smiled.
"Oh okay, I will remember that, and Callum, why aren't you in the upper years homeroom?"
He looked down and whispered "I umm... get bullied" He said the last bit rather quickly.
Poor kid, he looks so upset. I did notice Heidi, rubbing his back and wondered what’s going on between them.
"Don’t worry about them, if you have any problems, come straight to me okay?" he looked up at this
"Okay, thanks sir." ~ring~
"Off you go class, see you later" I Shouted over the noise.

I sighed, from what I know of my tutor group they seem friendly enough, but it's still going to be a long fucking day.
