"I'm telling you Ray. Frank is alive!" Gerard protested as the two walked from school the next day.
"But that's impossible!" Ray cried in disbelief, "He's dead."
"But I saw him!"
"When?" Ray sighed.
"Yesterday, walking home. I went through the park and towards the field at the end…he was stood in the trees at the edges. It really was him."
"Okay…So I believe you…" Ray smiled.
"Really?"
"Nope…" Ray laughed, "No offence Gee it's probably all in your head."
"It's not though Ray! I saw him. I promise. He looked exactly like he did in the picture. Walk with me for a bit and he'll probably turn up at some point!"
"Fine…" Rays sighed for the second time, "I'll walk with you just to shut you up…"

The two continued through the park in silence. The snow had stopped falling that week and turned into rain which pounded against the earth. The days were so short that the sun was almost already setting and the sky was turning into a bleak pinky-grey as the rain started to plummet towards the earth. Ray pulled out his coat from his bag but Gerard allowed the water to soak his red hair. They had passed the lake and the fallen oak tree and were just coming to the bridge when Gerard spoke.
"It was just on the edge of the trees there that I saw him last," Gerard whispered, pointing in front of him, "he was the-"

He fell backwards as the sky grew dim. "THERE!" Gerard yelled, he pointed to the path in front of him, "HE'S THERE!"

In front the same figure smiled gently, black greasy hair falling about his pale face. He made no move towards the two but just stood smiling through the rain.

"You see him right Ray?!" Gerard shouted.
"See what?" Ray shrugged, "what are you pointing at Gerard?"
"Frank…he's right there in front of us!"
"No…Gee…There isn't anyone there…" Ray reassured Gerard by placing a hand on his shoulder, "I promise…"
"B-b-but…h-he's t-there, isn't he?"
"No Gee." Ray hugged him gently to try and calm him down, "nobody's there."
Gerard looked around once last time to see the figure slowly fade into the air as if he had never even been there.

"Sorry Ray…" Gerard stuttered as tears began to run down his face, "I-I just…he was there."
"It's okay Gee." Soothed Ray, "He wasn't really there I can promise you that."
"Okay…I-I guess that he must have just been all made up in my head."
"Must've been…" Ray agreed, "Do you want me to walk you home?"
Gerard nodded, almost embarrassed as he wiped the last of the tears from his eyes.

The two of them walked for another 10 minutes with Gerard sticking close to Rays side until they reached the Way's house. A neat 2 story red bricked house with a small front garden and 3 bedrooms.

"You be okay from here?" Ray asked as they reached the front door.
"Yeah, I think I'll manage, thanks." Gerard smiled.
"See you later then." Ray smiled.
"See you…"

Gerard wondered into the house, locking the door behind him and dumping his bag by the stairs. He shouted hello but there was no reply, everyone was out for the time being. After remembering that Mikey was at his friend's house he felt more at ease and after kicking his shoes off he headed into the kitchen to get a glass of water and to raid the cupboards. After this he reluctantly headed back out into the well-lit hallway, reluctantly picked up his school bag again and headed up the slightly creaky wooden stairs. He opened the door of his bedroom, to his surprise he saw a black haired, vampire skinned boy sat on his bed with eyes swirling with greens and browns.

"Hello Gee…" The figure smiled, "I think it's about time we had a little chat, don't you?"
