Odd encounters

I know Frank hasn't told them yet. He will soon though. Mikey though, I need to talk to him. I know he still lives with mom and Dad. It'd be good to see them again too.

I walk up to the old house and knock on the door. I hear scattering feet running towards the door. The door flies open. I woman with frizzy blond hair is standing infront of me in pure shock. I chuckle. "Don! Get your ass over here!" She yells to my dad. I smile. My dad sees me and freezes in place.

"Holy shit!" He says. I smile and wave at him. It's been so long. I missed them.

"Hi mom and Dad." I say quietly and not using that fake voice I have been. They both run up and hug me. I smile and hug them both back. I see Mikey peak around the door and give a surprise look. "It's been a while Don and Donna." I say in the fake voice. My parents turn around and see Mikey. They know I haven't told him yet.

"Mikey! Come here. Come meet Gerard." My mom says to my brother. I give a genuine smile and wave at him. I'm still wearing that unicorn pin with pride. Keeping my baby brother close to my undead heart.

"I've met Gerard already. Hey dude." He says and walks a little closer. I really need to tell him.

"Gerard, have you told him yet?" My mom asks, questioning where we met.

"Hello Mikey. I have not told him yet Donna." I say in that fake voice still. I know if I break that fake voice I'll call her Mom and call Mikey my little brother. My mom signals me in. "Can I talk to Mikey for a bit please?" I ask.

"Sure. Let's go down to my room." He says and I follow him. My old room is now my brother's room. That makes me so happy. I smile to myself. The room hasn't changed much. Still black and band posters. I grab Mikey's shoulder softly.

"Mikey, can you grab your unicorn pin please?" I ask in my regular tone. I think it freaked him out a bit. I smile softly.

"Um, sure? What happened to your voice?" He asks. I giggle lightly.

"I'll tell you in a moment. I'm not as much of a stranger as you think I am." I tell him. He grabs his pin and I take mine off. I walk to the bed in the room and sit on it. I pat the seat beside me. "Come sit. There's something I have to show you." I tell him. He sits beside me.

"What is it?" He asks cautiously. I laugh a bit and pull him into a quick hug. He tenses up a bit. I let go and grab his hand softly.

"Watch this." I say and flip the pins so the pin is facing the ceiling. "God it's been years and it's still there." I mumble to myself. He gives me a questioning look. I pull a small piece of blue tape off of the back of his. I show it to him. It says 'To Mikey, it's your big bro here. I know you won't remember but I missed you. From, your big bro Gee.' He stares at it. I take the tape off of mine and give it to him. 'I'll always come back Mikey.' He looks up and stares at me. "I've never taken that pin off." I tell him quietly.

"Who are you?" He asks me with a shake in his voice.

"I'm your brother Mikey. You are going to be learning a lot of big secrets really quickly. When you were two I left. There are reasons mom and Dad never told you about me. I'm only three years older than you. When you were little you were never able to say my name properly so you called me Gee. I was your older brother Gee and you were my younger brother Moikey." I tell him softly. He starts having a panic attack. I swiftly catch him and hold him in my arms. "Breath with me Mikes. In, and out. In, and out. In, and out." I keep repeating while stroking his hair and keeping him safe in my arms. He calms down. I desperately keep him close to me. "You okay?" I ask softly.

"Y-yeah. S-so y-you're m-my b-brother?" He asks. I smile and nod. "Why can't I remember you?" He asks quietly.

"That's a story for another time. Someone needs to tell you something first. You want to go see mom and Dad?" I ask and sit him upright on my lap. I keep him tight in my arms.

"Sure." He says quietly. I smile and kiss his forehead. My baby brother. I finally get to be with him again.

"Come on. I want to make up for the times we couldn't play together. Hop on my back. I'll finally get to be the good big brother I've always wanted to be." I tell him. He smiles and I let him jump on my back. I rocket upstairs and run into the living room with him on my back. Our mom and Dad look at us. "Hey mom and Dad." I say with a smile and my fake voice gone.

"Oh thank god you told him Gerard. Did you tell him about... and..." My Dad asks. I shake my head.

"Not yet. Someone has to come talk to him first and he'll be here in about ten seconds I think." I say and ten seconds later there is a knock at the door. My mom runs to open it and there's Frankie and Ray. Mom invites them in and I give a small smile. They greet my parents. Ray stares at Mikey and I in shock. I laugh a bit and so does Mikey. "Your room Mikey?" I ask and look up at him. He nods his head. Ray stares at me in a shock still. We walk down to his room with him still on my back.

"So you told him?" Frank asks as he closes and locks the door.

"Yes. He doesn't know about the thing you're going to tell him though." I say back to Frank. He nods and Ray stares from me to Mikey. He's sitting really close to me.

"What's going on between you two?" Ray asks. Mikey and I both smile. I nod for Mikey to tell him.

"Gerard is my older brother." Mikey says and smiles at me. I smile back. "He's three years older than me and gave me the unicorn pin. His nickname was Gee. I finally got to meet my brother." Mikey says and puts his unicorn pin on and puts mine on me. "Sorry for untrusting Frank." Mikey says. I giggle and pat his head.

"That's okay Mikey. I'm glad Gerard told you. I've also got something to tell you. I suggest you sit back and relax though because it's going to take a lot of explaining." He says. He is right it is going to take a while. Especially with Mikey and Ray being hunters.
