Vacant heart

(Mikey’s POV)
(1823)

Gerard helped me through the pain of losing Alicia. I am forever thankful for that. In return I went over to Alicia’s place and took her spell books, rituals, and other stuff that she helped me with over the years to help Gerard transform back. I don’t really know he if wants to turn back, but I am at least going to see if there is a way if he wants.

I walked to Gerard’s manor late at night, hoping not to get caught. I walked up the tall hill and walked into his place. Gerard sat on the couch reading a book as Lindsey yelled at him. “Quit ignoring me!” She yells. Gerard turned away and saw me at the door holding books. “Hey Mikey.” He says giving me a smile. Lindsey stops yelling and looks at me more pale than a vampire already is. He gets up and pulls me into a hug. “How are you doing?” He asks me a bit concerned. I push away a bit to hand him the books I brought, as I responded. “I am doing fine. Just came by to help you.” Gerard scanned through the books I brought and his mouth dropped. “Alicia studied the dark arts?” He asks me. It was too soon to hear her name, but I went with it. “Yeah. I stopped by her home and grabbed something for you, for helping me through losing her.” I heard Lindsey cry a bit, before she left the room.

“Mikey, you know I will always have your back.” He says smiling at me. I nod and took a book we should start off with first. “Okay this is about rituals on transformation to human.” I say opening the book. Gerard goes to my side and leans down to read it. “Is there one about Vampires?” “I am sure there is.” Gerard smiled and took the book from my hands and flipped through the pages reading to see where his category is. I laughed a bit on how eager he was, but I don’t blame him.

(Few days later)

Gerard started to get upset. We took trips to her library in her home and there was nothing about reversing a vampire. “Ugh!” Gerard grunted throwing a book to the ground, as he plopped down on her desk chair. “Don’t worry Gerard, there must be something.” I say assuring him he will be okay. “It’s never been done before Mikey, i-it’s not possible.” He says crying a bit. “With that attitude we know there’s way.” I say getting a bit mad. He sighs, looking down. I scuff and look around her books, making sure I didn’t miss one. I came across some ripped papers and a few burnt ones in the corner of the room. I didn’t notice these before. I walk up to them and pick them up gently not trying to rip them. “Vampire Reversal Spell.” I read. I jump up and run to Gerard. “Gerard! Look!” I say shoving the paper into his face. “What Mikes?” He says. “Take the paper!” “Alright, alright.” He says taking the paper from my hand. He jumps up from excitement hugging me. “Thank you Mikey!” He says. He pulls away and scans the paper before frowning. “There isn’t much information.” He says. I raise a brow and he reads it. “All it says is.”

“Heal the ……….. raise them from ……… make them ……….. heal the vacant heart.”

I go over to the other papers on the floor, but they are to damaged to read. “I’m sorry Gerard.” I say crying a bit. “I think I know who might have burnt these papers.” He says sprinting out the door. I followed close by to see where he was going. I followed him back to his manor as he yelled for Lindsey. “Lindsey, come out here right now!” He yelled. She came downstairs scared. Oh my God. This makes sense now. “You burned these papers and I know it!” She starts to cry leaning against the wall. “I-I’m sorry!” She yelled. “Why did you burn the papers!!!!!” Gerard yells even louder, than I thought he could. “It was a accident! I-It happened when she invited me over.” She said shaking.

(A few months ago)

(Lindsey’s POV)

“Lindsey! Come in.” Alicia says as she welcomed me into her home. “This is going to be amazing for you.” She smiles leading me to her study. She goes to her desk and picks up a book handing it to me. “Vampire Reversing Spell.” I read. “It should help you and Gerard turn back!” She cheered. I opened the book and scanned the pages till I got to the page about the spell.

“Heal the ……….. raise them from ……… make them ……….. heal the vacant heart.”

“Alicia! It’s crossed out!” I say getting mad. She lifts a brow and takes the book from my hands. “What? That’s not possible. I looked it before I invited you over.” “Do you remember what it said?” She frowned and nodded no. I yelled and pushed her. “Was this a set up?!” I yell. She elevated herself on her elbows shaking. “No! I promise!” I threw the book at her face making her hit her head on the floor. She started to cry and ran to a candle she had burning and tried to burn me with it. “Stay back!” She feared going into a corner. I picked up the book again and threw it at her making her drop the candle setting the book on fire and her dress. She screamed trying to put out the fire, but I laughed. I grunted at the pain in my chest and felt my nails and fangs grow. My eyes rolled to the back of my head making me yell. They came back all shattered. I laughed and pulled Alicia out of the fire and bit into her neck. “Lindsey! Stop!” She cried out. I couldn’t feel that part of me that wanted to stop all I could think off was finish her off. I ripped open her neck. I threw her body out of her window onto a bush as I put out the fire. I opened the book again and ripped a few pages. “Why did you do that! Mikey and Gerard are never going to forgive you.” I hear someone with my voice say. I turn around and see myself crying and angry. “Who are you?” I asked. “You will never know.” She says cutting the rope connecting our wrists that I didn’t notice that was there. A strong light blew me away from myself, making my back hit the bookshelf with books falling on my head. Soon it goes dark.

I wake up feeling empty. I get up wincing from the books that hit my head pretty hard. “Alicia!” I hear a familiar voice cry out. I peek out the window which was daytime so I hid watching. It was Mikey crying holding her corpse. “Who did this to you.” He voice so weak. I felt bad that I hid in the house and waited till it was sundown.

Once the sun was down I ran to manor ignoring Gerard as I felt the guilt creeping up on me. That thing that looked like me was right. I know they aren’t going to forgive me.
(Mikey’s POV)
(1823)

“So you think you could kill my wife?!” I yelled at her. “Something took over and I couldn’t help it!” Gerard scanned through the pages, as his jaw dropped. “When the Vampire acts up it means they are …………… and …………. There’s a chance ……….. never ……………. again. When that happens ……………... they die.” Gerard said. Lindsey looked frightened as she cried. “Die? I am going to die?!” She panics. “We are not too sure.” Gerard says examining the burnt pages. He groans on how badly she ruined them. “Dammit, Lindsey! You had to burn these pages!” Gerard yelled. She fell and her eyes rolled to back of her head. I back away a bit scared. She looked down laughing before she lifted her head up. Her eyes were cracked and blank. “Lindsey isn’t here anymore.” She chuckled. “She left along with her heart. She is vacant at the moment.” She says twitching. “Mikey get out of here. I don’t want to lose you.” Gerard said looking at me. I nodded and ran out the door. Lindsey tried to chase me, but Gerard fought her off.

(Gerard’s POV)

Damn she is so strong! I pushed her against the wall and bit into her neck draining her for hurting my brother. She goes limp in my arms and I see her eyes rolled back and she is crying. I let go making her fall to the ground. “W-What happened.” She says confused. I kneel down and whisper to her in a threatening way. “Get near my brother again, I will kill you.” I say kicking her before walking out of the manor leaving her there to suffer.

I am bringing Mikey and Lindsey into this. Warning the next few chapters, Frank and Ray wont be in it :( sorry
