Safe me from myself.

Frank's POV

I couldn't sleep everything which Gerard's dad said was going round and round in my head and I just wanted to sleep.
I looked at Gerard who was sound asleep cuddled into my chest which made me smile as I slowly and carefully moved my arm Gerard was sleeping on and once my arm was free and quietly climbed over him and went to my room and got one of my hidden pre-made joints in case Gerard's dad does room searches without me knowing.
I went downstairs and quietly went outside and sat on the porch in the back garden and just lost in smoking my joint and being lost inside my head.

I heard the back door open and shut quietly and someone walking over to me and sitting down next to me and they linked their arm round mine as the cuddled into my side and rested their head on my shoulder.
"What you doing out here?" Gerard asked quietly.
"Couldn't sleep, needed something to help me sleep." I said and lifted my joint up to show Gerard.
"You should of woken me up, I would of come with you instead of you sitting out here on your own." Gerard said and I chuckled softly.
"You need your rest as well Gee. Tonight was the first night you didn't have any nightmares." I said and looked at Gerard who looked down.
"But my bed was empty and cold. I thought you'd left me." Gerard said quietly and looked down.
I made Gerard look at me.
"I'm not leaving you okay. If I do get kicked out of here then it doesn't mean I don't want to stop seeing you." I said and kissed the end of Gerard's nose which made him smile.
"Anyway, we're going inside as its cold and I don't want you getting ill." I said and Gerard moved from my side as I flick the end of my joint away.
"Feeling tired now?" Gerard asked and looking at me.
"Feeling stoned to be honest." I answered back and Gerard chuckled.
I moved and gently pushed Gerard against the wall and kissed him which he happily returned.
"No further." Gerard said and looked down.
"I understand." I said quietly and kissed him which he returned.
We went to bed and I was out like a light leaving Gerard to pull the covers over us.

I was in the kitchen making myself and Gerard a drink when Simon showed up and stood by the table.
"Frank can I talk to you?" Simon asked.
"Dunno, depends if the threat of throwing me out is more serious than last night." I said and turned round and looked at him.
"Frank I want to apologise for my behaviour last night." Simon said.
"Well spit the words out then." I said sarcastically.
" Frank, I'm really sorry for what I said to you last night. I was drunk and it was out of order." He said.
"Drunken minds speak sober thoughts. I know you don't like me but because of Gerard I'm going to put up a bloody fight to stay here. Also maybe because for once in my life I actually feel safe. I feel safe here Simon, don't you even care about that?" I said and Simon looked at me.
"Course I care if you feel safe. I'm happy that you feel safe in my home." He said and moved forward but I took a step back.
"Words hurt Simon. Just thinking about that in the future, because next time you tell me to get out I'll be gone. Then you'll have to try and pick up the broken pieces Gerard is going to be in. You might even have to send him to hospital and who knows when Gee will be out again." I said and walked off upstairs and watched Harry Potter for the rest of the day.
