"Let's Be Roommates"

Gerard and I got ready and we headed to the subway. We sat silently in the train I wondered how ny mother would react upon seeing me, I had been away from them for six months and a week. I missed dad, my mom just the tinniest bit. They were replaced with thoughts and memories of Gerard and I together. I don't care if they show me cold shoulders, I just want them to treat Gerard nice. We were finally in Manhattan, standing in front of a beautiful big three storey house. Dad is an architect afterall.I took Gerard's hand in mine, I seemed more tensed than him and these people were my parents. I rang the door bell, Dad to my surprise answered the door.

" Rylen, oh my God I missed you" My dad grabbed me and gave me a huge bear hug, he released me after.

" Hello sir, I'm Gerard way" He introduced himself and my dad smiled and shook his hand.

" Nice to meet you, please call me John" yes! I love my dad. I felt bad I didn't call him more often.

" Dad, Gerard's my boyfriend"

" well I figured that much, but please do come inside, your mom's preparing dinner" We walk inside and the house looked different. Well my mom made sure to re-decorate, she felt like she was the superior. Neighbors encouraged her too. Always praising her and agreeing on everything she says. I was the one person who didn't though.

" Honey who is it at the-" My mom stopped in her tracks and stared at me, she walks over slowly then hugs me. I didn't return the hug, she only did it cause Dad was there.

" before you say anything let's all sit at the table, dinner's ready" there she goes again controlling me. Gerard and I walked to the table and my mom pointed out where we were to sit. Mom sat me at her side,Dad at the head of the table and Gerard way at the far end.

Gerard P.O.V
I liked Rylen's father already, but when I saw her mom I knew she hated me. She sat me all the way at the far end of the table and Rylen at her side blocking me from seeing her fully. I didn't care though, Rylen loved me, she almost fully proved it this morning around the coffee table.I smirked mentally then focused back on her mother.

" I'm having much closer guess over, so I seated you all this way" She taunt by saying 'much closer guess'. Suddenly a guy around my age and height with bronze hair and brown eyes walked in with a short woman I assumed his mother, she had bronze hair too but green eyes. Oh great! This was a huge hint that she hated me.

" Hello Rylen, It's been a long time you surely haven't lose an inch of beauty " kiss ass " thanks for having me and my mother over scarlet" oh wow! I bet she told him to use her fisrt name. Rylen glared at him and her mom as well as her dad, God I Love Him. The guy sat across from Rylen and his mom beside him.

" you may introduce yourself now" scarlet says to me, no commands.

" I'm Gerard Way, I live in Jersey with Rylen-"

" excuse me?" Shit

" we live in the same apartment building I meant" She relaxed back in her chair.The guy spoke next.

" I'm Ron Dewey, I'm Rylen's...neighbour" he stated unsure why? " I'm continuing my studies to become a lawyer, this is my mother charlene" with that said, the two mothers bombarded me with questions. Giving an opportunity for Ron to talk to Rylen who looked bored, while her father tried to stay awake damn he's histerical.

" what do you do?" Ask charlene

" I work at an art gallery, I create eccentric paintings and tour the local customers around, I also am working on releasing my comic book, it's great and the company likes my idea."

" don't you get tired of what ever you do?" She purposely insulted.

" No, I love art, that's the point of me never getting tired" I mentally rolled my eyes.

" Can your job stable your family?" Scarlet asked

" No, but with my comic release it will"

" that's why Ron is going to be a lawyer he won't need to depend on other things" she boasted

" well it's funny how just some drawings can earn you millions of dollars in like five months while lawyers would have to save, and his salary depends on how he handles a case" I could sense their anger, I love that I'm very empathic.

" Rylen wasn't who she was now when she was younger, she was formal, mannerly, girly but that Kate, she ruined her"
No way, Rylen was simply living a life projected for her, when she met Kate she was free to be who ever she wanted to be.

" I like her just as she is, she was never ruined, she was finally free" She look at me in disbelief

" Rylen didn't tell you didn't she?" Scarlet beamed with an evil smirk, she turned to Rylen

" Rylen tell Gerard the reason you left" scarlet hissed, scary, but Rylen remained silent and I was starting to get worried.

" I will" Ron beamed " Rylen is actually my fiance'" my eyes shot wide open and I stared at her, my blood began to boil..

" she didn't tell you? it was arranged of course but that hardly matters, it's like you hardly even know Rylen if she liked you she would have told you, trust you" although scarlet's words were bitter they were all true. I snapped out of the chair and stormed outside.
