It takes 3 hours for them to arrive back in New jersey at now their house where the guys were waiting for them. Frank had kept them updated on what had happened and the occasional call that Gerard would make from Franks phone to Mikey to reassure his brother that he was alright.

"wow .. this place looks so different ... theirs flowers everywhere and was posters of my face? i mean I've been away for a long time but i didn't expect there to be so much life and colour .... this is home .. and iv'e came back with my boyfriend to live happily .... this is like a dream" Gerard starts to ramble as they are driving through the streets of jersey but he was right.

" uhhm ... yeah Gee ... that is a poster of your face ... but so much has changed and there is so much i want to show you ... i'm so glad that your back and we can start our life together as a couple after all this time ..... your right this feels like a fantasy ..... or a dream ..... and i never want to wake up from it." Frank starts to get emotional as he talks but he doesn't care he is happy and over joyed to have Gerard back in his life and as his boyfriend not just his best friend.

" Aww Frankie ... i can't wait to see everything ... this will be so good ... being with you and starting something that will hopefully last a long time... i love you so much " Gerard says as he wipes a rear from Franks face and softly kisses his cheek as he drives them towards their home.

So much had changed in his home town since he was taken by Bert new cafe's and restaurants had opened along with new comic book stores and merch stores filled with figurines, t-shirts , records , books ect .. he had so much to see and try and he would do it all with his wonderful boyfriend Frank. There were still posters on street lamps and billboards of posters from the search when Gerard went missing, Frank would put them up every week. Gerard didn't know this but every one else did. He was the one with the most hope... he would stay in Gerards house a lot of the time looking after the place and making sire it was kept nice and tidy with hope that one day he would be woken up by him but that never happened. Frank went to a bad place when Gerard was taken... just because Gerard is his everything.. some people don't believe in lasting love or having a soul mate but Frank does.... he believes that what he feels for Gerard will never die his feelings for him is a burning flame and nothing can shatter or break those golden flames of purity , pure passion that nothing can destroy. That is what Frank believes. And no one knows this about him. Gerard on the other hand believes that there is the right person for everyone and that life is an adventure to find the person you will grow old with and have a forever in love happy and cared for every day being a new adventure until your dying breath. So in a way both of them believe in a forever love and believe that they are each others.

They arrive home a few minuets later... Gerard feeling a little nervous to be home especially after all this time with only short conversations and updated with Mikey, Ray and Bob over the past month... they knew he had been beaten again ... but the way Gerard looked now was just painful to look at never mind feeling the way he did .. covered in bruises old and new from head to toe. The ones on his face being the worst. Two black eyes , cuts on his right eye, Nose and bottom lip. He was a mess and he knew he looked bad. But through it all his eyes were lit up bright and sparkling with glee , love and happiness because he had a reason for putting up with it for one last month and that was getting home, Back to his life with his friends and family .

" you ready Gee?" Frank asks because he sees Gerard is hesitant to get out of the car
" yeah ... i-i guess so ...." Gerards voice is weak, His hands shaking.
Frank walks up to Gerard as he gets out of the car and wraps his arms around him. Gerard does the same and embraces the smaller man standing in front of him chest to chest.
" whats wrong Gee? " Frank asks lifting his head to look at Gerard who was still shaking in his arms
Gerard looks down and meets Franks gaze. " i'm scared Frank .... i'm scared of the reaction they are going to have when they see me. They haven't seen me in almost a year .... i'm a mess... i'm covered in bruises and cuts... i don't think they know the extent in what Bert done to me.. They know he beat me again .... they know i didn't get to spend the whole month with you when you came because of him..... but look at me Frankie..... i'm disgusting.... " Gerard says as a tear runs down his face tightening his grip onto Frank.
" Gee you are beautiful ..... yeah you have some cuts and bruises from a horrible person ... but he is gone ... you're safe now here with me and every one else... i mean it might be a shock at first but they know that you were beaten quite badly last night we told them that before we left.. they know you are hurt .. but they are thankful that it wasn't serious and that you're here now ... alive ... your wounds will heal... and your face will still be as perfect as before .. right now you have your battle wounds .. the battle that you won .... they will just be happy to have you back sweetie.. trust me " Frank calms Gerard with these words and he has now stopped shaking and places a soft kiss on Franks forehead.
" yeah your right Frankie... i guess i'm just nervous to see everyone after so long of being away"
" that's understandable.... i mean you knocked me over with my hello so god knows what you will do to these guys "Frank laughs as he says this to Gerard and he joins in laughing with Frank taking his hand and holding it tightly.
" yeah but that was only because it was you.. you have no idea how badly i missed you .. and you know the reason why" Gerard explains
" yeah i guess that is a valid point " Frank agrees with him and strokes the side of Gerards face softly making sire he doesn't hurt him , Gerard smiles and does the same back to Frank.
" i think it's time to go inside now .... get this party started and start our new life together... i can't believe we are finally together" Gerard admits as he points to the door of his new home.
" yeah your right .... it still seems so surreal .. but we are and now you have nothing to worry about you're safe with me in your new home .... our home "


They go inside and Gerard is wiped out by all three of his buddies Mikey, Ray and Bob they all laugh as they lay on the floor hugging Gerard. They were all a little shocked by Gerards face but that didn't let that get to them he was finally home safe with his boyfriend that they all think took far to long to happen but the are still happy about it and celebrate that as well as Gerard returning home. They party until the early hours of the morning talking, drinking and messing around just like they used to with the punk music blasting. It had been so long since they had been together and had this much fun it reminded them of when they were on tour and nothing could ruin this for any of them there were smiles plastered on everyone's face all night. Everyone stayed over sleeping on the couches apart from Frank and Gerard of course because they were spending their first night together as a couple properly in their home. They cuddles fr the full night just holding each other. This was a moment both men would remember for the rest of their lives. How they felt right now. Content, happy and head over heels in love.

The next morning Frank wakes u before Gerard and decided to leave him to sleep and goes Down stairs to make breakfast For everyone But giving Gerard a little treat of Breakfast in bed with an extra strong coffee.

" hey frank how is he doing this morning? " Mikey asks concerned about his brother
" he is still sleeping i thought i should let him rest after everything that has happened in the past month " He says with a sad look in his eye
"its not your fault Frank you know that right? you couldn't tell that Bert was going to turn on Gee and hurt him like that." Mikey tries to cheer Frank up but it doesn't work.
" yeah i know mikes.. but seeing him in pain like that again after everything that happened the first time just hurts you know ? i just wish that i was able to stop it and give Bert a taste of his own medicine ."
" trust me Frank you're not the only one but he's gone now. He's in a high security prison with a 20 year sentence there's no way he will be getting out any time soon and when he does get let out he isn't aloud any where near Gee"
Frank stays silent and just nods at Mikey and gets on with breakfast

Frank makes breakfast for everyone and takes his and Gerards up stairs and by this point Gerard is waking up and thanks Frank for breakfast.They eat and talk for a little before joining the others downstairs. They have a chilled day in with everyone before they leave and go home leaving Gerard and Frank to have their time alone. So they sit and watch movies all night long and fall asleep in each others arms.

nothing could get better for them ... they are happy and finally together they spend weeks in the house while Gerards wounds healed as they thought that people may judge him if he were out in public but he didn't mind he just wanted to spend time with frank .. and that's exactly what he did ....
