In A Comical Act Of Teenage Angst.

One

Gerard had started to stir in his sleep. His dreams faded away as he had been brought back to consciousness. And then realization kicked in as he opened up his eyes, today was like any other day. A fucking drag. No different then last Thursday or the one months from now. Every day was the exact same.

He sighed and stretched his body, groaning once his back popped. He was rather tired from last night. He had stayed up replying to comments and messages from his fans.

All he really wanted right now was sleep. But, school had to ruin his life. Just like any other day. It’s not like he hated learning, it was just the lunatics that attended his underpaid public school that he despised.

He sighed once again, heading to the restroom to do his business. He knew what was coming, and he was prepared. He would always try to avoid his reflection in every mirror that he passed. Gerard hated his reflection, he had a negative infatuation with himself. All he saw was flaws. Flaws, flaws everywhere.

He took off his clothes, preparing for a hot-steamy shower. Stepping inside the shower Gerard moaned with the sudden contact of the hot water on his back. It felt as if Satan had given him a bear hug.
Gerard stood there, thinking of not one thing in particular. He just let random thoughts roam around in his head. And eventually, the water went cold. So Gerard stepped out and dried himself off.

It was time to get ready.

He gathered his clothes and put them on. Today consisted of some black jeans and a Misfits shirt with some converse. He always felt at best when wearing black. Black read so many things, 'don't bother me', 'I'm different'.
Now the hard part, Gerard walked back into his bathroom. He reached into his medicine cabinet and grabbed a little green bag. Inside it was his medicine, and makeup.
He sighed as he unzipped it and pulled out his Rexulti. He swallowed his pills along with tap water he got from the sink. Gerard traded his meds for eyeliner as he swiped a black line across his water line. When he was finished, he looked back at himself and cringed. "Nobody pays attention to me anyways" he spoke to himself before leaving the bathroom.

All dressed and ready to go, Gerard grabbed his backpack and headed towards the door. After saying his goodbyes, he began his journey towards school. Just like in the shower, his thoughts roamed free while he walked. He somehow enjoyed walking to school, and besides, it wasn’t even a long walk.

Gerard sighed for the millionth time today, as he arrived at his shitty school.

Gerard had a feeling this day was going to be more crappy judging by his fellow classmates. They were already bitching and of course Mrs. Bryant, the math teacher, was out for blood.

Gerard grabbed his earphones from his backpack and plugged them in his phone. He put shuffle on his playlist and put his earphones in.
Too much horror business
Driving late at night
Psycho ‘78
Horror Business by the Misfits immediately began to play which caused for a grin to make its way to Gerard’s mouth.
Music was the only thing that could prevent this day from becoming crappier, especially The Misfits.

Gerard noticed that he had arrived early today, that obviously gave him time to spare.
He made his way to a lonely table in the cafeteria and began to think of what he could do.

He came up with the idea of stalking Franks work. Gerard’s been hooked, and he sure as hell didn’t mind.

Going to the website, he searched Franks profile. He had remembered clearly. He typed the letter ‘X’ all the way to the letter ‘k’ on the Search Tab. Immediately Frank’s profile shows up and Gerard digs in. A poem called ‘Sonnet-Silence’ catches his attention which caused for him to click in it. He then began to read.
There are some qualities-some incorporate things,
That have a double life, which thus is made
A type of that twin entity which springs
From matter and light, evinced in solid and shade.
There is a two-fold silence-sea and shore-
Body and soul. One dwells in lon—

Gerard’s reading was interrupted by students rushing from the hallways.

“I guess the bell rang,” Gerard muttered to himself. He lowered his music and went straight to class, which happens to be Mrs. Bryant’s. Let this crappy day get crappier.

Once Gerard stepped inside his classroom, he noticed something different. He just couldn’t point it out though.

“Good morning, go sit down,” Bryant smirked at the class.
He did as he was told, like always. Once he had sat down he looked around, and that’s when he realized what was off. Two desks were missing.
He wondered why, but he had a feeling that he was going to know soon enough.

And he did. “Listen. Some students want to act like animals, so they shall be treated like animals." Bryant said closing the door behind her once every student had come in.

That surely caught everybody’s attention since they were all was silent.
“Your fellow classmates have lost their desks. So they have to sit right her on the floor. Let this be a warning for the rest of you... but uh hey, more room for the good kids."

And then suddenly, snoring , everyone's eyes trailed to the kid who had his head laid on a desk. Drool came spilling out of his mouth. Mrs.Bryant's eyes bulged out of her head, she basically ran over to the kid, and then smacked his desk. The kid jumped, and fell out of his seat. Everyone laughed except Gerard who just boredly stared at the mess this stupid kid had made for himself. "Mr.Iero, what a great example! No chair for you!" she hysterically laughed.
The kids face was red. He stayed on the floor as Mrs.Bryant heaved his chair into the hallway.
All the other classmates who apparently were behaving like animals sat down awkwardly on the floor.
Bryant presented herself just like any other day. No makeup, her hair tied up in a bun.. but now it was all messy and kind of unraveled, she also wore a maxi skirt.
That woman will never wear pants.

She began the lesson, not even minding the desperate kids on the floor, including Iero, wanting to sit on a desk. Gerard just listened, I mean, they did deserve it for acting like ‘animals.’ But, in the end, it’s not even his business.

Gerard’s morning had gone by slower than any other day. Perhaps it was because Gerard was anxious to read more of XoxoFrnk's work, and the universe decided to be a bitch and drag the time.

It was time for lunch and Gerard made his way towards the lonely table where he sat this morning. He wasn’t feeling like eating, and he didn’t felt like hanging out with his friends. Yeah, Gerard had friends.
Ray, the guitar god, and Mikey, his little brother.

He didn’t have that many, but he didn’t care. He loved the guys. And he was sure they wouldn’t mind Gerard wanting to be alone today. All he wanted was to read. He went back towards the page where the poem was and continued his reading.

'One dwells in lonely places,

Newly with grass o'ergrown; some solemn graces,
Some human memories and tearful lore,
Render him terrorless: his name's "No More."
He is the corporate Silence: dread him not!
No power hath he of evil in himself;
But should some urgent fate (untimely lot!)
Bring thee to meet his shadow (nameless elf,
That haunteth the lone regions where hath trod
No foot of man,) commend thyself to God!'

Gerard wasn’t going to lie. He was astonished, impressed, words couldn't really describe what he was feeling. But the guy's work was amazing, Gerard knew that.
