In A Comical Act Of Teenage Angst.

Introduction

3rd Person POV

Down by GerardXWay

'I know my faults, I see myself as an uncharismatic, hateful Jerk.
And trust me, I'm always waiting for something inexplicable to happen.
So I can sit back, and watch everything fall apart.. to a meaningless dust.
Doesn't matter whose drama it is, mine or yours.
I just find happiness in others.. how do I put this.. defeat?
I like it because I know when it happens,
everyone included in the trauma gets a sense of humility.
It's a reminder that not one person
on this damn planet is perfect.'

Gerard's fingers ached from typing, but that didn't mean shit.
He needed to say it, give the world an inside on what he was thinking.

Well actually, more or less he needed to give the world an inside every Monday or else the people reading would get bitchy.

A dedicated writer, Gerard was.

He skimmed through his work spell checking it, and making sure it was raw enough for his audience.

Everything was perfect, Gerard then gave a smiled and went to the homepage.

He loved to write, but it wasn't the same compared as to when he started.

His first year on IACAOTA was the best.
Even if there was only a limited amount of people who actually read his stuff.
It meant something more back then. Now it felt like a tiresome job.

Gerard bit his bottom lip, pulling away from his blackened thoughts.

He looked at the screen, and clicked on the 'Poetry' icon.

He used loved to give back to his readers and comment on how their works, but now that was starting to feel like a shitty job as well.

All he did anyways was skim to the bottom of the screen and say
some bullshit like, 'Love it! '.

When really he didn't read anything.. He didn't even do as much than merely glance.

And he couldn't help but tear himself up for it, "Fuck it.." His eyes were drawn to a poem with a dark blue banner.

He skimmed over the length and sighed.

"The least you can do is read the first paragraph." he scolded himself, and began to read.

Dreams by XoXoFrnk

'I have been happy, but only in a dream. I have been happy-
and I love the theme: Dreams! In their vivid coloring of life,
As in that fleeting, shadowy, misty strife.
Of semblance with reality which brings.
I have been happy, but in a dream. I have been happy-
and I love the theme: Dreams! In their vivid coloring of life,
As in that fleeting, shadowy, misty strife.
Of semblance with reality which brings
To the delirious eye, more lovely things.
Of Paradise and Love-and all our own!
Than young Hope in his sunniest hour hath known'

Once, Frank has finished his poem, he was rather proud of himself.

“Another masterpiece” He said, giving his computer a kiss.
He was really fond of his work, he loved to write and receive good feedback over his poems at any time.
He would always be anxious to wake up the next morning to comments like “I love this!” or “You’re really good, man!”.

He would sometimes stay up late and just click the ‘Refresh’ button for any notifications. He knew it wasn’t right, but he sure loves all the positive feedback on his work.

Right now, he was sitting at his desk with a cup of coffee in his left hand. It was four o’ clock in the morning and he did not felt sleepy at all. Knowing that he wouldn't sleep, he went to his shelf, filled with books, and got his favorite novel. The Shining by Stephen King. He was a sucker for horror. Movies, comics, books.. anything that had the potential to make someone piss their pants, Frank loved.
"Redrum.. Redrum..", Frank gave a shrill growl while mimicking Danny Torrance.

He grabbed the book and happily strolled back to his desk.
He read all the way to the middle of the book when his train of thought picked up.
He could picture the differences between the movie and the book, there just always had to be a stupid difference.

Frank guessed the only reason why things weren't the same was to sort out the readers from the watchers. Or in his own terms, 'The geeks from the dumbasses.'

Once he felt his eyes just wanted to shut, he closed the book and went back to the site. Maybe a reader could jolt him to the more conscious side.

There weren't any notifications, he gave a sad huff and clicked the refresh button.
Still nothing.

"False hope" he grumbled before clicking refresh again.

A blinking light came from the top right of the web page, meaning, he actually had a notification. "Fuck yes!" he exclaimed.

Frank clicked on the notif and realized that there was only one comment on his latest EAP prospective poem.

"It's better than nothing" he shrugged.

'Wow..- GerardXWay' .. Frank's hands flew over his mouth, this one comment was better than any other comment that anyone else had ever left him. GerardXway was one of the most popular writers on the site. The comment itself, was meaningless, but in it's entirety, this meant that GerardX-fucking-Way had actually read his work.

"This.. is.. sick.. as.. fuck.."
