Monkey see, monkey do.

Healing time passed. Gerard and Mikey had gotten more healthy than ever before. They were now both standing in front of Elva's door, next to Officer Ruiz. Both, Gerard and Mikey, were curious in what waited ahead, but they were both even more grateful for being together. Ruiz knocked the door, and by thirty seconds later, it was opened. A good looking woman stood upon the door, eyeing Gerard and Mikey from toe to head. She smiled kindly at the boys and man, and welcomed them inside her home. "Nice to meet you, Mrs. Moreno," Ruiz extended an arm to Mrs. Moreno for her to take. "Nice to meet you as well, Officer. How kindly of you to take care of these little boys. I wished I had gone to visit, but work has been really busy lately," Mrs. Moreno said, extending her arm for Ruiz to take as well. Gerard and Mikey started to observe the house. It was nice looking with all the photo frames hanging up the wall. "It's okay, Mrs Moreno. The boys were taken care of greatly by Ms. Blake, their nurse. And now they're all healthy and fine." Ruiz said. "Well then I'm really glad!" Moreno responded, smiling at Gerard and Mikey. Elva gave a tour to the boys, and after Ruiz verified that it was safe for Gerard and Mikey to stay, he left. "Okay, boys. Which one of you is Gerard, and which one of you is Michael?" Elva asked as soon as Ruiz left. " Umm..I'm Gerard and this is Michael, but we call him Mikey." Gerard spoke up. "Very well. Let me show you to your room, boys. Come this way." Elva said, leading them towards their new temporarily room. The room was very nice looking. Very boyish looking. Once again, Gerard and Mikey were grateful that they were going to be together. Especially sleep in the same room. "Thank you" Gerard said, with a smiling Mikey aside. "It's no problem. And please call me 'Aunt' okay?" Elva said. "Okay," both Gerard and Mikey said at the same time. Elva smiled and organized the room a bit. "Are you boys hungry?" She asked. She then knew they were. Not by the boys telling her, but by the sounds of the boys stomachs. "I'll take that as a yes." She chuckled and walked away, leaving for Gerard to assume she went to the kitchen. The boys sighed and hugged each other. "Are you okay, Mikes?" Gerard asked. Mikey nodded and hugged him tighter. He was terrified. "Are you sure?" Gerard asked caressing his little brother's cheek. He loved the little gal. This time Mikey shook his head. "What's wrong?" Gerard asked. He didn't know whether he was going to get an answer. Mikey usually kept things to himself, and he had trouble speaking as well. "I-ii-m sc-c-are-d" Mikey said over a whisper. Gerard sighed and led Mikey to their new bed. "Mikes, don't be. We have each other. Nothing bad is going to happen while I'm here." Gerard said kissing Mikey's forehead. "O-o-ka-y" Mikey responded. They layed in their bed until Elva called them to get their soup. Things were looking good so far.
