Monkey see, monkey do.

Officers Morgan and Ruiz made their way towards apartment #2 getting ready with the cuffs and guns. Judging by the outside they both already had an idea for what the inside will look like. Dirty dishes piled on the sink, over turned furniture, and sad looking children. They got the report on a woman called Way, Donna Way, trafficking illegal drugs. She's a mother of two, which both the officers still don't know the name of, yet. Officer Morgan knocked on the rusty looking door and got in position along with Ruiz. The door was opened by a little boy around five or six, looking utterly confused. "Mommy?' The kid yells. Footsteps can be heard and a woman looking rather stoned appeared. Donna Way. "Y-y-yes?" She asked leaning on the wall. "Mam, you're under arrest for trafficking illegal drugs," Officer Morgan said making his way towards her with the cuffs. She tried to run away but failed due to her being so high. Morgan led her to the car while Ruiz took care of the children. They both were staring in fear, obviously scared of the situation. "What are your names boys" Ruiz asked the devastating looking children. "I-I'm Gerard an that's Mikey," Gerard, the older looking boy, pointed to the younger one. They were wearing nothing but a shirt and underwear. Both of the officers were right on how the inside of the apartment will look like. Everything that they said was correct. "Hello, boys. I'm officer Ruiz. I will help you find who you will stay with while your mommy gets a time-out, okay?" Both boys nodded, they just felt they needed to nod. Ruiz called the ambulance, afraid that the kids may have consumed the substance. They did seem rather skinny and off. Once the ambulance had taken Gerard and Mikey to the hospital, Ruiz went straight to the papers to check for relatives. Some were dead, some were in jail "What a great family," Ruiz mutters. He continued to observe and that's when he came across a relative that may be able to take care of the kids. Elva, Elva Moreno. And she kind of runs a little daycare, perfect.
