Only One Way

Gerard speeded to the hospital, neither of us saying anything. Finally we got to the same hospital that Mikey and i had brought Gerard to. Gee ran inside, me following at his tail.

Gerard went up to the lady at the desk. "We're here to see Mikey way." He said, clearly not trying to sound panicky, although it still showed. "The doctor will be with you in a moment." She said, Gerard nodded and motioned for me to follow him to the waiting room seats.

Not very long after the doctor appeared. "Gerard way?" Gee stood up and the doctor walked over to us. He shook hands with Gerard and then me. "Mikey's injury's are not very serious and he will be able to come home tonight." Gerard sighed out of relief and I let out the breath I didn't even know i was holding. "He did have to get stitches right above his eyebrow but it was not deep enough to cause any big problems." "Okay, thank you doc. Can we see him?" Gerard asked "Of course, right this way."

Both of us followed him to Mikey's hospital room. When we got in there a pretty nurse with black hair was talking with Mikey. When she saw us she stepped away to let us see him. He had a black eye, (which wasn't very bad because he could see out of it) a small cut on his lip and stitches above his left eyebrow.

"Hey Mikes." Gerard said, and kneeled down. "Hey Gee," Mikey said,"how do I look?" "Like shit." Both of them laughed. "Nah Mikey you look fine." Gerard smiled. "You get to come home tonight." "Yeah they told me, Frank come over here." I did as he said and kneeled by Gerard

"I'm sorry you guys." He said, a sympathetic look in his eyes. "I was just so upset that you'd been keeping this from me, but i get how hard it must've been." "No Mikey, we should be the ones apologizing, we shouldn't have hid this from you for so long." I explained, looking him in the eyes. "that's true, but I should have been more understanding when you told me. I forgive you both if you forgive me." "We do." I said, looking at Gerard. "So, does this mean we're okay Mikes?" Gerard asked eyes not leaving Mikey's. "We're good Gee, all three of us." Mikey smiled and sat up so we could hug him.

"Good, let me talk to the doc and then let's get out of here." Gee stood up and walked over to talk with the doctor and nurse. I turned to Mikey, "thank you so much for understanding." "Of course Frank,"he said smiling, "and... I'm still really sorry for cheating." "It's okay Mikey, I am too." I hugged him again and he hugged back.

"You guys ready?" Gerard said behind me "yeah," I said "let's go."

We joked and laughed all the way home, it wasn't awkward like I thought it would be. It was more like we were a family, and I was extremely happy. This is how its supposed to be. I thought, and was smiling when we got home and I passed out on the couch because I was so tired. This is how its supposed to be......
