Only One Way

I woke at seven in the morning and leaned over the side of the bed, throwing up the Chinese takeout Mikey and I had ordered the night before. I felt another wave of nausea so I ran to my bathroom.

I got to the toilet just in time to puke up whatever was left, and I felt Mikey's hand on my back rubbing. I finished and felt extremely weak, I layed my head on my arm which I had on the toilet seat.

"here, come here Frank." Mikey put my arm around his shoulder and led me back to bed. He got the trashcan from the bathroom so I could lean over and puke in there if I had to. I could faintly sense the smell of carpet cleaner but I was pretty much passed out. "Shh, it's okay Frank, just sleep."

I closed my eyes all the way, quit fighting the sleep, and instead let it pull me under

I woke up feeling way better, it was around eleven. I hopped up to shower and changed before going downstairs to find Mikey.

"There he is, you've been asleep a whole day." Mikey said walking over to me. "Really?" I asked "yeah, how are you feeling now?" "Fine." "Good, because we have to get the card and cake for Gerards welcome home party tomorrow."

"okay, that sounds great but can I eat first?" And that second my stomach growled in agreement. "Of course, I made some scrambled eggs." He set the plate front of me, I dug in, and it was really good. I finished in minutes.

"Ready to go?" Mikey asked, "yep, let's do this."

"So whose all coming?" I asked, while we were trying to pick out a card. "Just you and me." Mikey said, holding up a card with a kitten in a party hat on it. "Really? That's it?" "Yeah well you know how mom feels about him and he doesn't have many friends on account of his personalty."

i laughed at the last part and picked out a card that said "welcome back"on it, but it had all these cool designs on it "Gerard will love that one" Mikey said and I put it in the cart. We walked to the checkout line with the card and a cake that we picked out before we got the card.

"We'll pick him up around noon tomorrow" "okay" I said casually although inside I was jumping with joy, in less then twelve hours I would be seeing my love. I couldn't wait.
