Only One Way

"Wake up beautiful, you're going to love this." I woke up, groggy from the few hours of sleep I'd had. I turned to look at the clock, five till midnight, then I remembered that Gerard was taking me somewhere and I snapped wide awake. "I'm ready." I said
Gerard led me out the window. "Why don't we just go out the door?" I asked "it's not as adventurous." He replied, reaching the ground and helping me down.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked him. He looked over at me with those gorgeous hazel eyes that I loved so much that first day in the bookstore. He put his hand on my thigh and squeezed lightly. "You'll just have to wait and see." He replied, a soft smile on his lips. I smiled and closed my eyes.


Gerard shook me awake and pressed a gentle kiss to my lips and helped me out of the car, leading me over to a blanket laying on the grass.
There were trees surrounding us but we were in a flat area, I think it was a meadow. And the bright stars were very visible. "Wow" I gasped, "Gee, it's beautiful" "I knew you'd like it." He said and hugged me from behind, "but it's nowhere near as beautiful as you." He whispered in my ear, and kissed my neck.
He broke away "are your hungry Frankie?" Be asked and pulled what looked like a pizza box from the back seat of the car. "I thought I smelled pizza" I said, and he laughed. He sat down on the blanket and opened the pizza and I walked over to join him.
"I didn't know what kind you liked so I just got cheese. " he said apologetically, I smiled "no Gee, this is perfect." I took a bite and practically moaned at how good it tasted. I lay down on the blanket, and looked up at the stars, there was a full moon tonight and it lit up everything.
"This is amazing Gerard" I said, and rolled my head to look at him, and he was gazing at me with loving eyes. "Why did you do this?" I asked him and he smiled and looked down
"this morning after the bathroom thing, I thought I've haven't taken Frankie out on an actual date." He blushed and ducked his head farther, "I mean, we can't have a relationship based on just sex." "Gee, we haven't even had sex yet." I said and he looked up "I know, but you know what I mean."
And I did. We haven't had many moments where we just wanted to be with eachother and nothing else,I mean there's been a few but mostly it's just random bursts of lust. Not that I really minded that but I do wish there were more moments like this. I knew Gerard thought that too, otherwise he wouldn't have done this for me, for both of us.
I scooted closer to him, he was lying down now so I layed my head on his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and I listened to his heartbeat, a perfect rhythm bum-bum bum-bum bum-bum our breathing was perfectly in sync. He moved his perfect hand to my head and started rubbing in perfect circles in my hair.
This moment was perfect, and I never wanted it to end. I smiled. "I love you Gerard." I said and his breathing haltered for a second, before falling back in sync with mine. I swear his heart skipped a beat. "I love you too Frank" he said and I smiled and closed my eyes.
I'm going to marry this man someday I thought, and hoped that I really would.
