Gerard Way is a schizophrenic that has been locked inside of a mental institution for 2 years, and is finally being let out into the world for the first time. He has been prone to strange mood changes, and suicidal tendencies. When he goes to Belleville Middle School for the first time he has to go from the change of being locked in a mental institution to attempting to fit in at a high school. When he meets his new best friend Frank Iero, everything changes.
