Sir Edward's School For The Supernatural

House Of Classes

a.n. before we start off I just want to say that oops! I made a mistake. You see, Frankie and Gee were going to take that walk after 1st period, but oops! there's no break there! so please disregard that mistake as I can't really fix it and just pretend it's after 2nd period and it's break time as this story starts.

And now for something completely different.

As I gazed across the lake, Frank's head resting gently upon mine, I saw Pete and Patrick exchanging conversation. Pete was reading through Patrick’s notebook when he dropped the notebook onto the grass and looked over at Patrick, who was on the verge of tears. Suddenly, Pete lunged at Patrick and wrapped him up in his arms, falling on top of Patrick. Then, after I saw Pete faintly say something to Patrick, I saw something glitter on Patrick’s cheeks and I noticed he was crying. It didn’t look as though he was crying of sadness, but happiness instead as he hugged Pete back and buried his head into Pete’s neck.

“Wow. I haven’t seen Patrick cry in a very long time. I wonder what they were talking about.” I heard Frank say, and I smiled.

“Yeah, me too. I guess it was something very, for the lack of a better word, important to them.” I said, and we fell into silence once again.

Then I heard the bell ring, and we both shot up at the noise. After realizing it was just the bell, I sighed and stood up and stretched.

“I’ll see you later I guess?” I said, and Frank smiled, making my stomach flip a little, knowing that I was the one who made him smile.

“Sure!” Frank said enthusiastically, looking up at me, and I bit my lip and looked back at the school.

“Race you to the school!” I said, grabbing my stuff and hurriedly changing into a wolf and I took off running. I heard a faint ‘hey!’ from Frank and a huge flap of wings as he started flying.

I gritted my teeth as I put the pedal to the metal, making myself run faster and faster, my feet pounding against the grass. I saw a shadow hover over me, before finally passing over me, and without even looking up I knew it was Frank. I huffed in effort as I pushed myself to the limit. I pulled ahead of the shadow just as the exit out of the courtyard and to the halls was nearing.

Suddenly, as I was on the final stretch and about 10 feet from the exit, Frank landed right in front of the exit with a smug face, and it then turned to terror as I was still barreling at full speed towards the exit and towards him.

I knew I had to no time to try and slow myself down, so I screwed my eyes shut as I braced for impact and a couple seconds later I collided with Frank, sending us flying back and possibly into a couple of innocent bystanders walking near.

“Oof!” We both exclaimed, and I heard a thud as below Frank landed on the stone floor. I clung on to his chest and looked up at Frank, who had a pained but happy expression on his face.

“Dammit Gee!” Frank said, and I smiled as much as a wolf could and glanced around to see people staring at us like we were crazy.

I put down the tote as my more dog-like characteristics came out and I started licking Frank’s face like crazy. His face tasted strangely good…

“Ah- Gee- Stop- Agh!” Frank said, and I stopped, leaving Frank’s face shiny with dog saliva. I barked, and Frank smiled.

I hopped off of him and picked up the tote in my mouth, and Frank stood up and wiped his face.

“Thanks for that.” He said sarcastically, and I barked again, wagging my tail. He knelt down and pet my head, before standing back up again.

“You are just too cute… I like you.” Frank whispered, obviously not meaning me to hear it, but since I am a dog and have heightened hearing, I did.

My eyes went wide and my heart did the flippy over thing again. I stared at him again, a warm fuzzy feeling coating the inside of myself. Frank cocked his head, and before I go any further, I do have to tell you guys something.

I’ve known this for a while. Ever since about a week after we first met and started talking like normal buddies actually.

I like Frank.

Not like friend way, like… something more.

You know what?

Scratch that.

I have a major crush on Frank.

There.

I’ve said it.

And I know, I’ve known him for about a month, but I feel like I’ve known him for years.

Now back to the story.

I gulped and I changed back into a human.

I faced Frank, and I felt my cheeks heat up as I started blushing. Frank’s eyes widened as he noticed I was blushing. I gulped again, and Frank’s eyes went back to normal as he smiled slightly.

“You heard that?” Frank asked, and I nodded slowly, and his smile got bigger.

Then, out of nowhere, Frank walked up to me and suddenly kissed my cheek. He stepped away, watching me with a soft smile as my cheeks got redder and my hand snaked up my body to lay carefully on where his lips met my skin. I heard some people around me gasp, and I gulped again.

I tried to say something, but I was speechless.

“Good.” Frank said, turning his back to me and disappeared into the crowd. I was left a little dazed, my heart jumping out of chest and the fuzzy feeling came back tenfold.

But suddenly, the moment shattered as I heard something coming from in the courtyard. I whirled around as I saw two extremely huge jock-ish people approach the now cuddling Pete and Patrick. I sensed danger and Pete’s head shot up as they got near.

I turned into a wolf and faced them, my advanced hearing picking up every word they said.

“Ey faggot.” One of them said to Pete. “Didn’t think you’d hear me since you guys are too busy fucking each other.” They both laughed, and Pete growled and gently wriggled out of Patrick’s hug and stood up, as Patrick got up and sat on the ground, looking sort of confused.

“If we were fucking, would we really do it out here?” Pete said, and the jocks sneered. Patrick stood up next to Pete, giving the jocks the biggest death glare he could muster. And I have to admit, it was pretty damn terrifying. I guess Frank was right. Patrick could be scary.

“You are both little faggots, and you deserve to be punished.” The other jock spoke up raising his fist. Pete growled again, not looking scared at all, while on the other hand, Patrick looked petrified as hurt and fright were present in his eyes.

“Hey look, the faggot’s mute retard friend is scared!” The jock said, and they both laughed as Patrick tried so hard not to cower behind Pete.

Then, both of the jocks raised their fists, obviously meaning to hurt the two, and I decided to intervene.

I started barking as loud and as mean as I could, trying to make my barks mean business.

“Aw, cute little doggy coming to save his friends. Too bad they’ll probably be dead by the time his slow emo ass could get over here.” One of them said, raising his fist even higher.

I growled and bolted over there, going as fast as I could as I saw the jock’s arm extend out in slow motion.

But before I got there, Pete seemed to be doing something with his eyes, and something flashed in them as two gigantic skeleton arms erupted from the ground and picked the two jocks right off of it.

I stopped right in my tracks as the jocks thrashed about, trying to break free of the skeleton’s grip. Pete had a smug smile on his face as two stared at him with wide eyes.

“A-A Necromancer?!?!” One of them shouted, pointing at Pete. “I thought those all died off!!!”

“Well, we obviously didn’t.” Pete said, and the jock’s face was priceless.

“What tribe?!?” He asked, and Pete raised his eyebrows.

“The Black Parade.” Pete said, and the jock’s eyes widened even more.

“The Black Parade was dead! They killed ‘em all off!” The other jock spoke up, and Pete suddenly slapped his hands to his temples as his eyes went wide.

“Shut up shut up shut up SHUT UP!” He screamed, and the flash in his eyes came back and the skeleton arms flung the two jocks into the hallway, landed with a loud THUD as they hit the back of the hall, and as they regained their ground they ran away as fast as they could.

I listened in on Pete, and I heard him still repeating ‘shut up’ over and over again as Patrick looked at him with a very concerned look on his face.

I decided to make my way over there, and as I approached, still in my wolf form, Patrick looked at me and bit his lip before looking back over at Pete. He brought his notebook and pencil out and started writing.

After the writing was done he showed it to me.

‘Thanks Gerard, but I’m trying my best to be polite in saying that um… sorry if this is rude, but please go. I don’t think right now another person’s presence would be of any help right now. Sorry, but I’m going to need you to leave.’ It read, and I nodded and swiftly made my exit.

***

I dragged myself out of my last class, tired as shit. I was ready for a good nap, but I needed Dan or something to wake me up since I still haven’t gotten a new alarm clock yet.

I changed into a wolf and ran all the way back to my dorm, and changed back into a human to unlock the door and throw my stuff onto the couch and I walked over to Dan’s room. It was a Thursday, and I knew on Tuesdays and Thursdays he got out a little early to work on a dragon project. Well, he got the dragon, while his other classmates got a miniature sea serpent. I heard the teachers weren’t worried that the dorm room was going to burn down, because from what I’ve seen he his room is basically fire anyway.

I knocked on the door, and I heard something metal hit what sounded like a desk and something growl as I heard Dan say-

“Come in.”

I was slightly taken aback because this was the first time he’s ever let me into his room.

I slowly opened the door and stepped in, shutting the door behind me and I started to take in my new surroundings.

I was HOT in there. Like, extremely hot. I winced at the heat, before looking around once more.

It was a fairly simple room, with a bed against the wall and a nightstand next to it with an amber lamp on it. The room was painted a dark orange, and a blazing fire sat on the wall next to the bed. I saw Dan at a desk adjacent from the fire, holding a small green dragon in his hands.

“What do you want?” He asked, not taking his eyes off the dragon.

“Um… Since I’m a werewolf and all, there’s a thing going on at 7 tonight for werewolves, and I’m going to be taking a nap, so could you please wake me up at 6:30?” I asked, and Dan nodded.

“Alright.” He said.

“Thanks!” I said, and quickly left the broiling hot room.

I swiftly closed the door behind me and opened my door and practically flew into my bed, instantly falling asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

~~~
“Hey, Gerard, Wake up.” I heard a distant voice say.
“Nooooooooooo….” I groaned, rolling away from who ever that was.
“Hey, you told me to wake you up. It’s 6:50.” It said, and I shot up out of bed and ran past Dan as I heard a little snicker from him.
I glanced at the clock hanging in the kitchen, and it read 6:15. I didn’t get mad at him because I knew I had to wake up early anyway.
I looked over at the window, and saw it was dark outside. Something suddenly came over me as I walked over to the window, my body seemingly moving on it’s own, ignoring my attempts to try and stop myself.
Shit… this can’t happen while Dan’s here! I thought, and desperately tried to stop myself, but as I approached the window, I heard footsteps and a gasp of surprise.
“Gerard… what are you doing?” I heard Dan say, and I sighed in relief. But that relief was short lived as my hands traveled to the curtains and with much force threw them wide open, and I saw the full moon’s light descend upon myself.
Dan’s POV
Holy shit what was he doing?
I saw him throw open the curtains, and I immediately got a bad feeling.
Then, as the moonlight shone down onto him, he started twitching, and I ran over there and quickly shut the curtains. I looked over at Gerard who had stopped twitching and had an extremely relieved expression on his face.
“Thanks. You just probably saved your life.” Gerard said, and I gulped, slightly scared.
“Right, I better get going.” He said, flipping his red hair out of his face and sighing. “Tonight is not going to be fun.”
“Why?” I asked, and Gerard looked at me with a raised eyebrow.
“You’ll probably hear it, all those roars and barks and growls, and when the night is over I might be in the hospital.” Gerard said simply, and I winced.
“Well, bye.” Gerard said without another word, and I saw him change into a wolf before running out the door and into the halls, his light footsteps growing fainter and fainter.
Gerard’s POV
As I went down the hall, I decided I had enough time to spare to go and visit Mikey. So I stopped myself right in front of his door and changed back into a human, then knocking on the door.
I heard several shouts and I think I heard Mikey yell, “Ow goddammit!” To which I snorted in laughter. A couple milliseconds later I heard loud footsteps walking towards the door and the door opened to reveal what went on inside.
Pete was standing at the door, a pained expression on his face, and I looked behind him to see Mikey sprawled out on the floor, and Patrick was laughing (with no sound coming out of his mouth, which looked a little strange) like crazy as Mikey glared at him.
“What is even going on?” I asked, and Pete scratched his head.
“Well, Mikey and Patrick decided it would be a good idea to jumpscare me, and as I was walking out the kitchen to go back to my room, Mikey tried to scare me, only ending up tripping over himself and falling onto the floor.” Pete said, and I started laughing, and Mikey looked like he could murder everyone in this room without a second glance.
“You know…” Mikey said, licking his lips as he focused on Patrick. Oh no. “You look particularly tasty Patrick, as I know you were the one who was behind this.” Patrick suddenly stopped laughing as his happy expression turned to slight horror as Mikey’s eyes turned blood red and he hissed at Patrick, showing his fangs.
“Oh and I forgot to tell you, Patty. Mikey’s a vamp.” Pete said with a smile, and Patrick looked at Pete with wide eyes.
Mikey got up off the ground and started levitating, adding to the scary vibe he already had. Patrick looked petrified, and Pete’s smile quickly turned into a frown as he walked over in front of Patrick defensively and faced the now growling Mikey. I walked into the room and closed the door, watching the scene unfold before me.
“Alright Mikey, that’s enough.” Pete said, and Mikey turned back into normal as his feet touched back down on the ground.
“Ugh.” Mikey groaned, and suddenly a glass of water appeared above Pete’s head and I knew this was the sort of thing Mikey would do, and it dumped all over Pete as Mikey walked away and towards the kitchen.
“Wow. Real mature Mikey.” Pete grumbled, grabbing a towel and running it through his now wet hair.
“Um sorry guys, but I kinda have to go now.” I said, scratching the back of my neck awkwardly. Pete hummed in response as Patrick then took the towel and started drying off his hair with it, smiling as he did so.
“Hey Patty, you didn’t have to.” Pete said, and Patrick stopped for a second as he grabbed his notebook and started writing in it.
‘But I wanted to. I’ve always wanted to know what your hair felt like. What? You never let me touch it!’ It read and Pete laughed.
“You can carry on, it felt good. Also, bye Gerard!” Pete said as Patrick picked up the towel adn ran it trhough Pete’s hair again, and Pete’s eyes fluttered shut.
I smiled as I made my way to the door and quickly opened it, changing into a wolf and letting the door shut behind me as I ran down the hall to the meetup.
~~~

I tried so hard to not look at the moon as I raced through the hallway just outside the courtyard, hearing only my own footsteps against the stone floor and the grunting of my breath. It was really dark, and I know, it’s weird how fast this place can transition from day to night.

I stopped myself as I reached the entrance to the courtyard and I peered in and took a huge breath of air through my nose, and I instantly smelled the unmistakable smell of others like myself. I distinguished about 7 individual smells, each similiar but belonging to different werewolves.

I walked carefully out onto the grass, trying my hardest not to make a single sound as I made my way over to where the smells were coming from.

But halfway there, I heard deep, dark growls coming from the darkness around me, and I stopped and growled back.

“Who are you?” I heard someone say, and that particular someone was a wolf. Did I mention that I can understand and speak the wolf and dog language? I mean, it only makes sense.

“Gerard, and I’m here for the werewolf meetup?” I said, and I heard a huff.

“Right. Well, head to the middle of the courtyard, because soon the moon will be fully out and the backup is coming.” I heard it say, and I nodded and started walking towards the middle, using every sense but sight to figure out where it was and where I was.

Once I thought I had reached the middle of the courtyard, I looked up to see someone with a very large firey torch standing on the roof of the hallway surrounding the courtyard. It had feathery wings, so I guessed it was an angel, and it started running around the perimeter of the hallway, dragging the torch behind it, and leaving a trail of fire as it ran.

I watched it as I heard the faint pounding of their feet on the hallway roof, echoing in the empty halls. Soon the perimeter was lit, and I could actually see something. I watched as the angel flew down to the courtyard and put the torch out in the lake, and I saw that it was Phil holding the torch. I looked at him curiously, and he looked up and noticed me looking and he waved a little hi to me, which I returned as best as a wolf could. He threw the smoldering torch into the lake almost ceremoniously, and quickly took flight again.

I tore my eyes off of him and focused back on the middle of the courtyard, to see, as I had smelled, 7 different wolves staring back at me.

Here, I’ll describe them to you.

The one in the middle was burly and obviously extremely strong, it’s fur coloured a light tan, and the two next to it were both lean and wiry, obviously speed demons. They were both silvery gray, one slightly darker than the other. The one next to the slightly darker one was slightly scrawny and thin, and reminded me of Mikey in a way. He was even Mikey’s hair colour! A moderate tan with flecks of gold. The one next to the lighter silvery gray one was a black wolf like me, thin but still looked really strong. He had light blue eyes that looked angry, yet calm at the same time. Then there was another one next to him, who was unusually small and extremely scrawny and basically a twig of a creature. But it had a crazed, sort of demented look in it’s eyes and had a disturbing smile on it’s face. The one next to the Mikey-looking wolf was again, unusually small, but this time instead of a demented stare, it had terror overpowering anything else in it’s expression as it looked at me. I almost felt sad for the poor thing, because it looked so small and scared, and it was shivering. And next to that was an extremely murderous-looking pure white wolf, who also looked done with everything.

“Hello.” The middle one said, and I waved a little hello.

“Let’s introduce ourselves, shall we?” It said, and we all nodded.

“Right, I’m Mordikai.” The middle one said, and I nodded.

“Me and her,” The light silvery gray one gestured to the darker one, “Are Jennie and Clem. I’m Jennie, and she’s Clem.”

“I’m Leo.” The Mikey-looking one said.

“I’m Andy.” The black wolf said curtly, barely opening it’s mouth.

“He’s Ashlong.” Jennie gestured over to the demented looking wolf. “Can’t talk much, but extremely crazy.”

“U-Uh, I-I’m Amalric…”The tiny one spoke up, voice shaking with fear.

“And I’m Marlyn.” The white wolf said, and I guessed it was my turn to introduce myself.

“Uh, I’m Gerard.” I said, and everyone nodded.

“Welcome to the pack, Gerard.” Mordikai said, and I smiled.

“Oh crap, it’s almost time.” Clem suddenly spoke up, and everyone’s eyes went wide.

“Alright, everyone of you, find a space away from any other. Reminder, you have to turn back into a human before you can transform.” Mordikai said, and everyone nodded in response and I took off running with everyone else to find an empty space.

I quickly found one in a corner, and I changed back into a human as I neared it. I sat down in the corner and looked up to see angels surrounding the perimeter of the courtyard, like silent warriors. The flames leapt up and illuminated their faces, and I saw their eyes were glowing, shining with gold. I even saw Phil, who had an emotionless face as he had a spear in his hands, that spear obviously used on raging werewolves, and no doubt had strong sedative coating the spearhead.

Fuck that’s terrifying… I thought, and I focused my attention back to the courtyard.

“Ready everyone?” I heard who I was guessing to be Mordikai yell from the other side of the courtyard. And this was a huge courtyard, so he kinda had to.

Everyone yelled a ‘Ready!’ Including me, and then we heard it.

The first howl.

I instantly felt my body start to twitch, and my head gravitated towards the moon, and the instant my eyes saw the entire moon, I let out a loud howl as I started convulsing in pain, and I knew it looked like I was having a really bad seizure on the grass as fur painfully popped up through my skin, my clothes disappearing as usual, and my body started to grow. My face elongated, my legs lengthened and so did my arms and body, as I grew bigger and bulging muscles appeared all over my body. It was all extremely painful, and I kept letting out loud wails and howls of intense pain as the feeling blossomed throughout my body.

And finally, it was done.

I stood up, my wolf instincts taking full control.

I don’t really remember much from that night, but one big thing I remember was that I got into a huge fight with Mordikai, and I ended up winning as Mordikai twitched and let out noises of pain.

And it was all fuzzy after that, and sometime later I passed out, probably because Phil hit me with that spear, I don’t really know. Wouldn’t surprise me to be honest. I’ve heard I am pretty damn violent.

~~~
I woke up on the wet grass with pains in my back, and I could feel scratches and I saw someone standing over me, and I opened my eyes to see Phil and Frank standing over me.
“Good morning sleepyhead.” Frank said, booping my nose as he giggled. I smiled wide, but saw Phil’s expression of I-might-facepalm-right-now and I chuckled.
“Yeah, uh Gerard, sorry about the pain in your back. I had to hit you with a spear because you got extremely violent as you fought with Mordikai, Andy, and Amalric, who is unfortunately in the hospital wing right now because of the wounds you inflicted on him. The others were hurt pretty bad too, but they insisted it was fine and if they needed anything, they would go.” Phil said, wincing a little.
“Oh fuck! I’m so fucking sorry!” I said, burying my face into my hands as I saw the image of the little wolf who was scared out of his mind.
“He says it’s fine. He knows you can’t really control yourself when you are in a werewolf form.” Phil said, and I sighed in slight relief.
“Are you feeling alright Gee?” Frank spoke up, and I shrugged, flinching at the pain in my back. Frank noticed my flinch and concern overcame his face as he sat down next to me. Phil looked at him weirdly, his eyebrows bunching together.
“I didn’t know demons could act this way.” Phil said, and Frank sighed.
“Well, I don’t really blame you, because most don’t really. We are truly soulless bastards, but there can be an odd one sometimes. That was the reason I was sent here actually, as I didn’t want to mindlessly murder innocent people as Father wanted us to. I mean, I totally could though. I have the power to murder everyone in this school without a second glance. But that doesn’t mean I want to.” Frank said, and I smiled a little as I started to play with a large part of his wing and stroking it playfully. Frank suddenly sat up as his breath hitched every so slightly, his eyes wide as he stared into nothing.
“Gee, fucking stop that right fucking now if you want to motherfucking live.” Frank said, and I noticed his breathing was a little off in that it was a little fast and heavy.
I think I found something about Frank that I wasn’t supposed to find… I thought, and I smiled evilly as I saw that Phil was looking kinda confused.
“Uh, okay. I think I’m going to go now. Get well soon!” Phil said, smiling, and I waved a goodbye to him as he flew off, leaving Frank and I in the courtyard.
Frank glared at me with anger, and traces of something else in his eyes. Something I couldn’t quite put my finger on, but looked dark and almost needy-like.
“My wings are extremely sensitive, Gee. So please don’t touch them.” Frank said, and I swear I could hear hints of.... Disappointment? In his voice. I’m not so sure though.
“Sorry.” I said, and Frank sighed.
“We better get going. I know you have the day off today, but I decided to skip today. So back to yours?” Frank asked, and I nodded.
Frank stood up and adjusted his wings to disappear under his shirt, and he held out a hand. I quickly took it, ignoring the electric jolts running through my arm as I was hoisted up off of the ground.
As I stood up, pain raced through my back and I let out a moan of pain. Frank’s eyes widened and he offered himself as support, and I quickly took it as I slung my arm around the back of his neck and let my hand hang off of his shoulder, and he wrapped his arm around my waist as another form of support, but I ended up blushing a bit anyway.
“Wonder how Mikey and them are doing.” I wondered, and I felt Frank shrug.
“Eh, they could be up to anything right now.” Frank said, and we walked down the deserted halls towards the dorm building.
Meanwhile, back in Mikey and Pete’s dorm room…
Patrick’s POV
Guilt.
That’s all I felt.
Because I lied.
Can’t tell you what I lied about, but I lied to Pete.
I lied to my bestest friend in the whole wide world.
And that caused Pete to get really angry at me.
He never gets angry at me.
I feel hurt.
20 minutes ago….
“Good morning Patrick!” Pete burst into his room in which I was sleeping in after Pete insisted I sleep in there, and I finally gave in as he slept on the couch.
I smiled and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, feeling the soft mattress below me, relishing in the fact it wasn’t the grass like usual.
“Time to get some breakfast!” Pete exclaimed, and my smile got even bigger. Pete walked to over me and poked my cheek, and I slapped his hand away from me.
Of course, I knew that I had left something out and covered the hole where it once was in my story of why I was mute, and that kept bothering me. But I ignored it, knowing if I did tell him, I would lose my best friend.
I sat up and got out of bed, yawning and walking over to the kitchen to start some breakfast. I didn’t know how to make much, but I wanted to repay Pete for letting me sleep in his bed.
I turned the stove on as I grabbed some eggs out of the fridge and cracked them into a bowl, grabbing a whisk and stirring up the eggs. After checking if the pan was hot enough, I put some of the egg mixture into the pan and let it cook for a while.
I felt Pete walk up next to me, and immediately the bugging came back only stronger this time, and I winced.
“What’s wrong Patty?” I adored the nickname he had given me.
I fished out my notebook and my pencil and started writing.
‘Nothing.’
“Oh come on. Something has to be wrong. I can tell.” Pete said, and I started to panic a little as the bugging started to tear my insides and a ringing overtook most noises in my ears.
‘Just stop.’ I wrote down, and Pete bunched his eyebrows together and huffed.
“Why won’t you tell me?” Pete said, looking at me with concern written all over his face.
‘Because if I did, you would ditch me as you would think I am too dangerous.’
“How the hell do you know?!” Pete almost yelled, making me cower a bit.
‘Because I just know.’
“AGH! What the fuck am I going to do with you?!” Pete said, his eyes going wide as his hands were placed on his temples.
I just froze as hurt consumed my insides.
You might not understand my pain, but even a comment like that can make me cry after what I went through before this.
But that frozen state didn’t last for long, as I quickly left the room and shut myself in the bathroom, ignoring everything else as I sat in my own guilt.
~Current Time~
I heard something pit pat on the bathroom floor, and I came back to reality to notice tears were falling from my eyes straight to the floor, seemingly too lazy to run down my cheeks first.
I sniffed and wiped my nose, and suddenly I heard a knock on the door.
“Look Patrick, I’m sorry for snapping at you earlier. I was under a lot of stress from homework and the like, so I just take it out on things I really shouldn’t even be going near with those comments I made. So could you please let me in and we can talk about what’s wrong, if you want to?” Pete asked, and I hesitated.
Should I tell him?
No, he’ll go away and avoid me.
Yes, he’ll understand the situation I was in and be able to help me.
The second one sounded more logical, so I went with that one and walked over to open the door. It opened slowly to reveal a small looking Pete, even though he was about the same height as me.
“Wanna talk about what’s bothering you?” Pete said in a small voice, handing me my notebook and pencil, and I quickly took it and started writing.
‘How did you know that?’ I asked, and Pete raised his eyebrow.
“Patrick, not only do I use the dead to do whatever I want, but I also communicate with the dead and they give me advice and tell me things.” Pete said.
‘Yes, I would like to talk about it.’ I wrote, and Pete looked slightly relieved.
“So, what is it?” Pete said, walking into the bathroom and shutting the door behind him. I sat down on the rug and sat down next to me, and I sighed.
‘I kind of lied to you.’ I wrote, and Pete’s eyes widened.
“What about? Oh I hope this isn’t too bad.” Pete said.
Oh man.
‘It is actually pretty bad.’ I wrote, and Pete winced before regaining his composure.
“Right. Lay it on me.” Pete said, then his eyes went wide for a second. “That sounded wrong but I think you know what I mean.” I snorted in slight laughter and started writing.
~~~

a.n. I highly suggest you listen to 5th Period Massacre by LeATHERMOUTH or at least read the lyrics if you don’t like Frank screaming as this part kinda goes along with the song. Dark, I know.

‘Well, this is going to take up a lot of space.’

‘So, you know when I told you about how I went mute?’ I wrote, and Pete nodded.

‘Well, I may or may not have left a huge part of it out and covered it up with some lies.’ I wrote, and Pete looked at me with just a look of extreme concern and I knew he was also bracing himself for something big.

‘I was just so afraid you were going to leave me, and I’ll tell you what I left out, and what I lied about.’

~Patrick’s POV in middle school~

Revenge! X4

I gulped as I heard the loud stomps of the school bullies walk over to where I was hiding. I slowed and steadied my breathing as I tried to make no noise at all, but that tactic doesn’t work on supernaturals who can smell fear from a mile away.

Killed my hopes (Revenge!)

“Ey, I can smell the little fucktard in here. Bastard’s fear-scent is practically rolling off of him. Just how I like it.”

Called me names (Revenge!)

Suddenly the table was lifted and thrown to the other side of the hall with such a force it made a dent in one of the lockers. I looked up to see the bullies staring down at me with a sort of wicked malice staining their eyes red. The leader had a twisted smile on his face as he picked me up by my collar with what seemed like no effort at all. He tightened his grip, slowly cutting off my breathing, and I started to cough.

Broke my jaw (Revenge!)

“Please… stop…” I whispered, and the leader put his other hand behind his ear in a ‘I can’t hear you!’ gesture.

“Sorry, I can’t hear you. Maybe this will help you spill out those words.” He said, and I felt a sharp and almost blinding pain erupt from my jaw area as he punched it, sending my head flying back.

It’s always the same (Revenge!)

Nobody listens x3

I was then dragged to the back of the school, where nobody could hear my desperate cries for help as I was quickly stripped of my clothes and made short work of that I really don’t want to get into detail with.

There’s no escape.

I’m just like you
Gave it my everything

Nobody loves me

I sat there, crying for what felt like hours, as people pointed and laughed. I felt dirty and unclean, and complete shit as the feeling of sadness overcame the rest of my emotions.

It’s driving me insane.

I felt the voices coming back slowly but surely, the voices telling me that I deserved everything that they dealt to me. I was reduced to more tears, falling apart at the seams.

Nobody listens x4

I would tell someone about this, would my voice only gets me into more and more trouble until the bullies actually get praised. Nobody listens to me, nor does anybody really care.

Why do you all hate me?

The next day I was taunted yet again, by even more people this time. I heard all the whispers behind my back, I heard every rumor under the Sun about me. I was beaten up yet again, them telling me if I actually was worth something I would fight back with my ability, but they knew I didn’t have one, and they took advantage of that.

Everyone’s against me

I was a loner. I was mute. I was bi and had a preference to men. I was beaten up everyday to the brink of death. I wanted to die. It seemed like the world was against me.

Mommy don’t care

Daddy can’t help

My parents only care about my grades and when I’m going to find my ability. They keep emphasizing on ‘when’ because they are getting desperate. That’s the only reason why I go to these supernatural schools. They are trying so hard to get something out of me, so I am not known forever as the family disappointment.

You made it hell everyday

Called me names

I want to die

I tried to get away from them as I forced my legs to go faster and faster, their whispers of hatred and taunt haunted me, stayed right in my head. I clasped my hands around my ears, trying to force those voices out, but they stayed.

Maybe I can find a way

To make you all just go away

The bullies who were running up right behind me were laughing, as they flitted in and out of my vision. I glanced behind me, to see their faces slowly turning to those of a monster’s. Deep, wicked yellow eyes with a crazed expression on their face. Scales appearing all over their body as their fingers grew to the length of a 12’’ ruler.

They got closer, and closer, and closer, and closer until-

I woke up screaming.

I never lied,

Never cried,

Never fell,

Never crawled.

I was just like you

Deep within me I felt a deep burning sensation. And I knew exactly what it was. Revenge. I wanted revenge.

Now you’ll pay with your fucking lives.

As I sat up in bed and kept thinking about my nightmare, I heard something coming from downstairs. It sounded like a weird beat with some static, and I could feel the vibrations of the beats through the floor.

That’s not right. Nobody’s supposed to be home… I thought, and I got up from my bed, grabbed some clothes and quickly changed, and headed downstairs.

Once I got downstairs I noticed that the TV was on, and the weird beat got strangely louder. I looked at the screen to see just two words on it.

Hell’s Reign.

Then something inside me snapped. Like something inside me stepped on a twig, and my whole world started to change. I was thrust back into a realm of old and forgotten memories. Memories of a lab and being taken from my home.

I went to dad’s closet

And picked up his .45

I went upstairs and went to my dad’s closet, and opened the emergency safe and pulled out his pistol.

Got three boxes of bullets

And on my hip it shall reside.

I grabbed some boxes of bullets, and a shoulder pack normally used for shotgun at the range. I loaded the pistol and put it on safety just in case, and put the rest of them in the pack, and threw a big trench coat on to prevent the pack and pistol (which was also in the pack) from being seen.

I opened the gym doors

I went into the gym, which was my bullies’ first period, and pulled out the gun and pointed it right at them.

You should have seen those fucks run

Everyone’s faces turned into sheer terror as I pulled the trigger, and a loud BANG! echoed throughout the gym.

I poured out a full clip

And in the back I got some.

It goes fuzzy after that.

I finally found my smile

It’s pure and bloodstained

But I’ve never smiled so much in my life as I kept shooting, running from hallway to hallway and classroom to classroom shooting as many things as I could.

So who’s the bitch now?

I’ll paint the lockers with your brains.

Blood was splattered everywhere as I laughed, not resisting Special Forces (a specialized police kind of thing for supernaturals) as they took me away.

~~~
‘I’ve murdered people, Pete. I’ve killed people.’
Pete’s eyes were blown wide, his mouth wide open. I cowered, curling up into a little ball.
‘I didn’t mean to! I would never hurt a fly. It’s just, something about that beat changed me for a while. My parents were happy that I wasn’t a disappointment, but also extremely terrified of me from that day forward.’
“Really?” Pete said, and I nodded.
“I’m sorry Patty…” Pete said, looking away from me.
He’s going to leave you now that he knows this
Haha!
I felt the tears start up again as the taunting voices came back again.
“This is just a little too much for me. Knowing that you’ve had other people’s blood gush out onto your hands and you laughing at it is just…. Much.” Pete said, and I felt the tears slide down my cheeks and hit the bathroom floor.
‘I’m so sorry…’ I wrote, and Pete sighed and looked at me.
“I’ll try and be as optimistic about this as possible.” Pete said, and I sniffed. “That was a couple years ago, and you didn’t have any friends, and power, really anything for that matter. But now you’ve got me. And it is obvious that something triggered you deep inside, something you can’t control, and I’m going to be honest, it scares me a bit, that such a sweet little guy like you can have such a power to snap and murder so many people.” Pete said, and I leaned my head on his shoulder, only for him to stiffen before relaxing. He was scared of me, I could tell.
“Patrick, I’m not scared of you. I am a little scared of the power that you possess. Who’s to say that power will awaken again? Who’s to say you won’t commit another rampage again?”
“I’m sorry Patty, but this changes things.”
Notes
