We Shouldn't Be Here

Frank's pov

I sniffled quitly as we ran farther and farther away from Gerard. I did hear guns being fired then it stopped, I hope that's a good sign. "He's going to be okay." I mumbled to myself as we ran, Mikey was in the lead, we all followed close behind. The sun was going down, it's rays slowly fading into darkness. "We should rest." Mikey said as we slowed down near a river. We all stopped and drank, I shifted back to human form and sat down against a tree. Mikey sat down next to me, he was also in human form. "He's going to be okay, right?" I asked not looking at Mikey. "He'll be okay, Gerard knows how to take care of himself. That kinda reminds me of this one time, we were both pups. It was raining all night and in the morning the ground was mud. Mama told us not to go outside until it all dryed up. Gerard didn't listen and ran outside the first chance he got. He ran straight into a huge mud puddle that came up to his neck. I had to drag him out by his scruff. When mama saw him she yelled her head off at both of us, especially Gerard. He ran around the house covered in mud as mama chased him with a broom. Muddy paw prints were everywhere, he even got some mud on the ceiling, don't ask me how he did that. When mama finally got him she was holding him by his scruff with one arm. He looked so proud of himself with the less he made." Mikey said making me laugh. "Or the one time dad got chickens and Gerard would chase them. He ended up falling into the pond, I had to drag him out again. Dad was so made at him for chasing the chickens, Gerard actually ate one. He wanted to know how they tasted or something like that so he just straight up ate it. He was coughing up feathers for a month." Mikey laughed making me roll of and laugh so hard that I was crying. "He sounds like a hand full." I laughed. "Tell me about it, he's as stubborn as a mule, he's extremely sassy, he's something." I nodded in agreement, Gerard was something, he was a lot of thing. We all sat around for a while, Mikey told me stories about Gerard when he was a pup, he was such a trouble maker. "Do you hear that?" I asked when I heard something in the distance. Everyone stopped and listened, everything went silent. "No." They all said in unison, I nodded, my head must be playing tricks on me. Nope, there was that sound again, what was it? I stood up and stared into the now dark forest, I saw a shadow bolting at me. The wind was nocked out of me when I felt two strong arms wrapped around me. "Frank!" My heart stopped, it was Gerard. I hugged him back with the same force, I nuzzled my face in the crook of his neck. "Your okay, don't ever fucking leave me." I said and kissed him passionately, his lips moved against mine. When we broke apart I noticed the skid marks of when Gerard ran into me, they were at least ten feet long. "Gee!" Mikey said and tackle hugged Gerad to the ground. Mikey got off of his brother and wrapped an arm around me. "Are you okay?" I asked, he nodded and kissed my cheek. "I had to kill a lot of people to get away, they won't be following us anytime soon. Lyn-Z was working with them." Gerard growled and held me closet as we all sat down in a circle, everyone was listening to him. "When I killed this one lady I saw Lyn-Z working with them, I know there was something up with her. Fucking cunt." He growled, we all agreed. "We all need to get some sleep, all sections are meeting in the mountains in two days. I found a really big castle looking house up there that's been abandoned for years. I moved a lot of stuff there so it should be comfortable, it's the safest place. I also went all out on security, electricity, and everything else. Sorry guys, I'm a little OCD." Mikey said, we all laughed at the last part. Gerard shifted into wolf form and curled around me, his soft fur pressed around me. I nuzzled against him, his chest rising and falling under my head. "I love you." I whispered, he looked at me with his beautiful green eyes, they hid some many emotions, I could tell what he was saying without him speaking. 'I love you too.'
