I'd End My Days With You.

“Take the deal.”

Gerard’s legs felt weak, he felt as if he could fall onto the cold ground any second. As he realized he was closer to the interview room where Frank waited, his vision got blurry. He thought for a second that he was going to faint, but discovered he was tearing up. He was tearing up to the thought of meeting face to face with the man who ruined his and his brother’s life.

Patrick looked at Gerard and stopped in his tracks, “You’re being brave,” he rested his hand on his shoulder, “how are you feeling?”

Gerard nudged his hand away, “Not brave.” He wiped his tears using his sleeve, “I shouldn’t do this, he’s sick and twisted-so maybe he does deserve to rot in prison.”

“Don’t say such a thing.” Patrick locked eyes with him, “Everything’s going to turn out perfect for everyone. No one has to suffer.”

My palms are so sweaty. I’m nervous, I guess. I suppose I have every right to be. They dragged me into this room, placed me on this cold chair in front of a table. Will they interrogate me? Beat me? What do they want to know? The cop standing in the corner behind me isn’t helping me calm my nerves. What’s he there for? To shoot me if I attempt to flee? There’s no way in hell I’d do such a thing.

I’m so cold.

I miss Gerard.

The door slowly opened, making me lean back in my chair. I bet it’s Toro.

My heart stopped when a beautiful human stepped inside and locked eyes with me. I lost my breath for a second before cradling my face with the palm of my hands, “You’re not good for me, I know you’re not. You make me sick-in the head.” Tears fell, making my vision hazy, “But I need you. I’d gladly conjure mental issues if you're by my side,”

Gerard looked down as he very slowly sat down on the chair across from the cold table, “Frank...I need you to take the deal the prosecutor had offer you.”

My hands erased the tears from my eyes, causing red irritation to surround them, “Oh...I get it now. You want to be away from me-you’re sick and tired of my presence.” I cried, “You want me to be far away from you because I hurt you and your brother-”

“No,” Gerard reached out and grabbed my hand. I stared at our hands touching, and I embraced it all. My finger caressed one of his, feeling how smooth he was. The small cracks on his pasty skin made him even more beautiful. He looked at me with deep compassion, “I know that if you take the deal, you won’t suffer anymore. You’ll get the treatment you need, and when you’re done-when you’re better-”

“I’ll...get to see you again...right?” My voice cracked.

Gerard paused, “N-no, but you’ll be healed. Then you can go back to your old life-”

“I didn’t like my old life,” I wailed, “I liked the life where you were in it.”

Gerard retrieved his hand, “You’re better off without me-you’ll learn that soon.” I didn’t notice it before, but Gerard had been leaning over the table toward me.

My body imitated his movements until we were face to face, our noses almost touching. Gerard whispered, “There’s nothing you could do to take back all of the horrible things you’ve done. I hate you, I really do. You make me feel sick, you make me feel miserable. There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t think of your death…” Gerard’s hands cupped my face, “but I pity you. I don’t know why, but I pity you. It may be the fact that the screws are loose in your head so you need help. Serious fucking help.”

His eyes are so enlightening.

Gerard’s eyes became glassy, “Take the deal.”

“Frank Iero, for both charges of kidnapping, sexual assault, and physical assault, how do you plead?” Judge Joan asked, directing her eyes toward me.

I announced, “Guilty.”

“Okay, on the agreement to both councils, Frank will serve however long it takes him to recover in a mental hospital and serve 4 years probation after. A restraining order will be placed for the Way brothers,” She peered at me again, “Iero, do you understand that you cannot come within 300 yards of any of the two Way brothers?”

I nodded, “I do, your honor.”

“Good. Case closed.” And after the slam of the hammer, I was put into cuffs. Patrick walked by my side as we headed toward the exit door, to the van that waited just for me.

Patrick said as we walked out the doors, "Gerard really must've talked some sense into you...what made you take the deal?"

"I felt like it was the right thing to do." I smiled.

We approached the van outside. Just before they could shove me into the backseat, Patrick gave me a spectacle look, "Wow, so it's really over? You're willing to get better and you're done chasing after Gerard?"

I gave him a reassuring smile, "I'm on the road to recovery," I grinned.

Patrick nodded, "Alright," his hand gave me a soft pat on the back before I was finally shoved into the backseat and locked in. As the van drove away, I can see Patrick's face. He was suspicious to my random change-as he should be. I will attempt to get better, of course...but why would I stop chasing after what I love?

Now, that's just stupid.
