You're still there...?

I curl up under the covers of my bed, my hands smashed over my ears.
They're fighting again..
Why do they keep fighting....?
My dad loves my mom...... Doesn't he..?
I wanna go to my grandpa's house... When mommy takes me it isn't that far, so it'll only take a few minutes to get there. Ten miles isn't that far! In the car we get there so fast! I tiptoe out of my room and hurry away from them, and go outside. I've just barely started walking when I hear someone call my name across the street. I look over and see my best friend's chubby face peeking out of his front door, his black hair all ruffled, "Frankie?" I look at him and sniffle.
"Frankie where are you going..?" He asks as he walks outside and over to me.
"Im going to grandpa's house...." I wipe my eyes, "mama and dad are fighting again..."
I see his eyebrows come together and he hugs me, "I know... I could hear them.... Frankie why don't you come inside? Mommy just made cookies and she can make you some hot cocoa..." I sniff a little and nod, and he puts a hand on my back and steers me across the street and to his house. "MOMMY! CAN FRANKIE HAVE COOKIES AND HOT COCOA?"
"SURE! INVITE HIM OVER."
"HES HERE!"
"Hi Mrs. Way..!" Gee leads me into the kitchen and lifts me up into a chair because I'm too small,
"Frankie you can always come over when you're sad! And I'll always let you in, even if I'm sleeping!" I grin at him, and take a sip of my hot chocolate, burning my tongue and then he hugs my head.
