Touch Him Again, And I'll Kill You

Frank's POV When I opened my eyes, I was met with the sight of a ceiling that I had only seen once before; when Gerard and I had sex. I slowly moved my head to the side and glanced at the small black wooden side table. It was littered with empty pill bottles and cigarette buds. I moved to sit up, but laid back down immediately once all of the pain in my body hit me like a brick wall. I let out a long sigh before hearing the door creak open. "Oh good, you're awake." I didn't dare move my head to see who it was, for fear that I would feel all of the pain again. The small footsteps I heard told me that this person was walking to me, instead. I felt the bed weigh down next to me, and soon I was met with Gerard's big hazel eyes and his crooked smile. "That's a sight I wouldn't mind waking up to every morning." I whispered. His cheeks turned a light pink at that and he grabbed my shoulders and pulled me up, so I was sat across from him. He let out a long sigh once he took a look at my face. "What's wrong?" I asked him. He looked down at his hands in his lap. "This is my fault. I should've just fucking been there. If I was there, this would have never happened to you. I wouldn't have let it. I would have killed them the second they even looked at you, Frankie." "It's not your fault, Gee. You needed some time, and shit just happens. There's nothing we can do about it." He looked away from me and mumbled something, but I couldn't hear him. "What did you say?" I asked. His stare finally met my eyes and he whispered "He didn't get away with it." I suddenly felt very nervous. "What do you mean?" He looked back down at his lap and didn't answer. I felt my heart race. "Gerard what did you do?" I asked him again. He stood up off of the bed and walked to the other side of the room before resting his head against the wall. "Oh god, please tell me you didn't do anything bad? Please Gerard, tell me what you did!" He quickly turned around. He had tears in his eyes and his face was red. "I HAD TO DO IT!" He screamed. I jumped at the sound and felt tears prick at my eyes. "I couldn't let him get away with it! He fucking hurt you! Look what he did to your beautiful face!" He walked over to me and grabbed my arm. I honestly thought he was going to hurt me, but he only pulled me off of the bed and toward the bathroom. He threw the door open and pulled me in front of the mirror. I gasped at the sight of my bruised face. I had a black eye, and bruises littering my jaw, and my lip was split. I gingerly touched my cheek, but winced at the pain, and felt tears spill over. "I just don't fucking get why he hates me so much." I whispered. Gerard stared at me in the mirror. "Well, you never have to worry about him again." He said. I turned to face him. I laced my fingers in his, and leaned forward and pressed my lips to his. It was a small, modest kiss, but it was full of love. "Gerard, please tell me what happened?" I spoke quietly to him, for fear that he would lash out again. "I.. I think I killed him." Internally, I was freaking out, but I didn't want to scare Gerard, so I stayed calm. "W-What do you mean you think?" I asked him. "I don't remember what happened. All I remember is getting in my car, and then when I got home, my hands were bloody and my pocket knife was missing. I'm so fucking scared, Frankie." He said before wrapping his arms around me. He sobbed into my shoulder while I tangled my fingers in his hair, whispering "sshh, it's okay, baby." But the truth is, it wasn't okay. If he killed Jeremy, he would go to jail. He would be locked away forever and I would never see him again. And if he didn't kill Jeremy, then what exactly did he do, and where did he leave his knife?
