Death is Inevitable

Frank pov

I wake up, still in Gerards arms. When I remember the events of last night, I can feel my cheeks light up in embarrassment. I roll over onto my back and stretch my arms and groan quietly not particularly wanting to wake up, but knowing that I'm not going back to sleep now that I've woken up. I look over at Gerards sleeping face, watching his stomach rise up and back down again as he takes each breath. His nose even scrunches a little when he breathes in and his hair goes up a little with each breath because his breathing is making it lift up.

"Frank?" He asks, rubbing his eyes a little.

"Yeah?"

"Why are you staring at me?"

I feel my eyes dart to anywhere else, embarrassed that I was staring at him.

"So what was that thing you wanted to tell me?" He says, stretching.

"Well," I begin. "I was thinking about possibly trying to escape again." I say, looking at him hopefully.

"Escaping." He says, processing what I say. "Again?"

"Yeah." I say rubbing the back of my neck. "I know it sounds stupid, but think-"

"It doesn't sound stupid." He says, looking me straight in the eyes.

"But we already escaped-" I start, beginning to explain why I regret saying that out loud.

"No I actually think it's a good idea, just how exactly since we're locked in here and what about Mikey?"

"Well, I haven't exactly thought it out yet, but I was thinking so you know the window over there?"

"Yeah."

"Well I know it's got bars on it, but when they give us our trays of food we use it as a sort of crow bar device, to ply open the bars and get out and as for Mikey, im not exactly sure how we'd get him out, we may have to...leave him." I say, adding the last quietly.

"Oh." He says, looking at the ground.

"You know, we don't have to do this if you don't want to leave Mikey, we may not even make it anyway."

"No, it's fine. I really want to do this, I'd rather not spend the rest of my life in this crazy place."

I smile at him sympathetically worried how he's really feeling about this. I know he's faking it because he really wants to be with Mikey, and honestly I think I would too if I just remembered that I had a sibling and we were extremely close. I wouldn't want to leave them either.

"Well we don't have to worry about it yet because you're here till five tomorrow so we can do whatever we want today and figure it out fully tomorrow." I say, smiling at him and nudging his shoulder a little. He returns the smile and rests his head on my shoulder.

"Food!" I hear a voice shout from outside of the door. I get up and see its a man holding trays with food piled on it. I take both of the trays from him and he shuts the door in my face. I roll my eyes, even though I'm positive he can't see me.

"Here." I say, setting down the tray in front of Gerard.

"What is this..?" He says sticking his fork into the lumpy piece of green.

"I don't know, it looks like mashed up peas to me though." I say, disgusted.

I look over to the main entrée and its a piece of mushy brown meat..maybe? It has an even darker sauce coating the top. It's got a garnish on top that looks like weeds, not something like a mint leaf, no, it's weeds. It's nice they made it look nicer I guess. 'A' for effort. There's another side that is yellow and in a sphere shape.its also got some brown stripes going across it.

"What is this!" I say, poking the spherical food.

"It looks like..fruit?" He guesses, examining the 'fruit'. I laugh at how seriously he's looking at the food and push him a little.

I stick my fork in the mushy brown meat and pick it up. I take a bite and immediately regret it afterwards. It's got a horrible texture, slimy and wet and it just makes me want to puke. I spit it back onto my plate, and start gagging after.

"That is so gross." I say, still gagging.

"Well, I was going to eat that, but I guess I'm not anymore."

"Come on, I had to! You have to now." I say. He rolls his eyes and picks up a forkful of the mushy green food on the tray. He lifts it up to his mouth and then takes a bite. His face turns a shade of green and he spits it out immediately just like I did.

"That's even considered to be food!" He says, wiping his mouth with his arm.

"Apparently." I say, shrugging my shoulders.

"Is it seriously already ten!" Gerard says shocked, and looking at the clock.

"Yeah, I know it felt like today went by so fast. Maybe it was because all of the other days feel so long since im usually in here alone all day every day."

"Yeah it's really nice to have something to do instead of sitting around staring at a wall for endless hours."
"Well, I'm going to go to sleep, I'm really tired. Hopefully we'll have made a decision by tomorrow." He says, and kisses my forehead. Before he lies down,'I grab his face and give him a kiss on the lips. He smiles and then lies down.

"Night Frank."

"Night."

I know I'm not going to sleep for a while, so I stare up at the ceiling in the pitch black room. I hope we make it out, this is basically my last effort. If we don't make it out, I don't know what I'd do, I would probably just give up. Maybe if we don't make it out, we'd just eventually get to go back to the way we were before and be able to walk around the building freely, not be trapped. That would be better, still not ideal, but I'd have something to live for at least. I feel myself yawn and decide that im finally tired, so I roll over and pull the covers up to my chin and breathe in Gerards scent.

Notes

So there's not going to be much of this story left, only a few more chapters. Depending on how I end the story, there may or may not be a sequel.
