I'm Really Not That Bad.

Frank and Gerard made their way into the lounge area, later joined by Patrick, Pete, and Lindsey.
Pete sat down on one of the chairs, noticing Patrick's discomfort at the thought of sitting apart he pulled the blonde into his lap. Patrick's mouth opened as if to protest but as usual he was simply mouthing the words. Pete just laughed, hugging him tightly.
Gerard could swear, they were attached at the hip. It was sort of cute though, the way Pete would look happier when he and Patrick were in contact. And the way that Patrick would seemed more relaxed when Pete was next to him.
And fuck. Gerard wanted that with Frank.
Of course it would be a while before he'd actually try and make anything official. But he wanted what Patrick and Pete had. He wanted it bad.
Lindsey was calm, not at all what Gerard had expected from yesterday. She was, as Frank had said, very nice. Her anger sometimes got the better of her but that was only a small part of her.
Looking at all the people he'd talked to in here made him sad and happy all at once. Gerard couldn't help but feel sad that so many people with nice personalities were pushed out of normal society for just being different.
But he was happy as well, because here they had friends. People they could relate to. People they could talk to. He could bet that most were happier here than st home, at least most of the time.
He was snapped out of his thoughts when Frank giggled beside him, making Gerard's heart swell. He was really falling for the kid.
After a minute or so Frank started to try and bring Gerard into the conversation, Lindsey asking him a question occasionally.
Soon Hayley walked in and Lindsey walked off with her to another room. And Frank was reading a book hed found under the couch, and despite it being a children's book he looked absolutely engaged in it.
After a while Gerard turned to Patrick and Pete. "So, you two are together?" He asked, both of them nodding. "How long?" He asked.
Patrick started to mouth things before seemingly realizing that Gerard couldn't read his lips and picking up a whiteboard. Pete stayed silent, just watching Patrick. The blonde scribbled a messy one year two months on the board, holding it up with a bright smile.
"That's nice. Where'd you two meet?" Gerard asked. Pete answered this time, Patrick erasing his whiteboard.
"We met at a concert. He looked so happy and so I went up to him and started talking and when he didn't answer I was like 'oh, shit, this kid must really not be interested in me' so I left him alone." He laughed a bit.
"But at the end of the concert I was walking to my car and he ran up to me and handed me a paper with his number and an apology along with a small explanation. And I gave him a ride home and then we just hit it off." He smiled.
Gerard smiled at them as Pete kissed Patrick's cheek.
"That's cute. You two look really happy together." Gerard said, both of them nodding.
Gerard looked back over at Frank who was still reading the children's book with a smile on his face. He finished the last few pages, looking over at Gerard and blushing as he realized Gerard was already looking at him.
"S-Sorry, I know it's a kids book but it was interesting." The fifteen year old said, looking away with a small smile. "Don't apologize. It's cute how interested you looked." Gerard shrugged, smiling.
"Cute?" Frank asked, raising an eyebrow.
Gerard nodded, grinning. "Very."
