That Chain-Written Frerard Fic

Chapter 12

”Frankie...”
”Yes, Gerard.” He said smiling ear to ear.
”I ... I love you.. Really... I love you..”
He jumped, threw his cigarette on the floor without even bothering to step on it, and quickly wrapped his arm around my neck. I was then pulled in a kiss, the best kiss I was given my entire life. Because I could feel it, I could almost taste the happily ever after on his lips.
”I love you too..”

Gerard's POV

It was six days after our perfect hospital date, and I was finally being allowed to go home.
Frankie had gone to get me some clean clothes, and I was expecting him back any time now.
I was really excited.. hospital food sucks!

He'd said he'd only be an hour.. So far, he's been three!.. I was starting to get worried.
Picking up my cellphone, I dialled Frankie's number. The phone rang a couple times, then went to voicemail~ "Hi, you reached Frank Iero's phone. Sorry I can't talk right now, I'm probably hanging upside down on a pole right now *giggles*. But if you leave me a message, and I like you, I'll call you back when I can. Bye"
I frowned at the phone, but waited for the beep, then left a message "Hey Frankie, it's me!.. Just wondering where you've got to, cos you said an hour.." I trailed off, not wanting to sound controlling or anything ".. Anyway, give me a call so I know you're ok.. Love you baby! Bye"
I hung up and put the cell back on my bedside.

A few minutes later the door opened, and I turned with a grin on my face, expecting it to be Frankie.. It wasn't!
A nurse with blue hair and bright red lipstick walked in "Mr. Way.. You've been discharged.. You. can go home, you know?.." I nodded, and was about to explain, when she continued ".. Actually, you have to go!.. We need the bed!"
I blinked stupidly at her for a moment. No point in arguing, I guess "My ride hasn't turned up.." I said, quietly, looking down at my hands ".. I'll call my brother"
The nurse nodded and turned away, but then looked back "You can wait for him in reception" Then she walked out.

Sighing, I picked up my phone and called Mikey. He picked up on the second ring "Hey bro.. You home now?"
I frowned "No!.. Frankie was supposed to be here two hours ago, and he never showed up.. I tried calling him, but it went to voicemail, and now they're saying they need the bed, and I have to go.." I rambled ".. Could you come get me.. Pleeease?"
I could almost hear Mikey roll his eyes "Sure.. I'll be there in ten"
"Thanks Mikes.. I owe you one"
"Dude!.. You owe me like a dozen.. But who's counting?"
I chuckled. I can always count on Mikey "Thanks Mikes. See you soon"
We both hung up.

After a moment, I awkwardly climbed off the bed and dug my shoes out of the bottom of the bedside cabinet. I would have to wear the sweatpants and t-shirt I had on, as I had nothing else. It hurt to bend down to tie my converse, and when I stood back up, I was a little breathless.
I sat on the edge of the bed as I recovered and stuffed my few belongings into a plastic bag that Frankie had brought me some comics in the other day.

When I was sure I had everything, I left the room and headed to reception to wait for Mikey, smiling slightly at the blue haired nurse on the way past.

I sat down on a hard plastic chair and pulled out my phone. There were no messages, and no missed calls.. "Frankie, where are you?.." I muttered as I dialled his number again.
Again it went to voicemail!.. After the beep, I left my message "Hi baby.. I don't know if you're getting this or not, but you're worrying me now!.. They're kicking me out, so Mikey's coming to get me.. Call me, please?.. I'll see you later I guess.. Love you Frankie.. Bye" I hung up, my heart racing slightly.

Where is Frankie?.. What if something's happened to him?.. What if he's been in an accident?.. Or kidnapped?.. Or.. "Gee!.. Ready to go?"
I looked up at my brother "Err yeah, sure"
I picked up my bag and dejectedly followed Mikey outside.

The drive back to mine was silent. I think Mikey knew that I didn't want to talk.
When we arrived, Mikey turned to look at me "Do you want me to come in?"
I shook my head "No thanks Mikes.. I just wanna sleep"
"Ok Gee.. And look.. He'll be ok.. You'll see!.." Mikey smiled at me, but I just didn't have it in me to smile back ".. He probably just lost track of time, or something"
I shrugged "I guess!.. I'll see you later Mikes"
"See ya!"
I got out of the car and headed inside. As soon as I reached the couch, I flopped down, and was asleep within moments.

I was woken some time later by my phone ringing in my pocket. I pulled it out and blinked sleepily at the screen. Unknown number! showed in green.
I pressed accept, and put the phone to my ear "Hello?.." The other end of the line was quiet, but I could hear someone breathing ".. Hello?"....
