Late dawns and early sunsets
Summary
It was all a joke. Something they told to kids so they wouldn’t sneak out and night. Scare them with imaginary things so they didn’t know the real reason they couldn’t go out at night in jersey. So children weren’t scared of humans as they well should be. So they don’t wonder about everyone who walks past them, wondering whether they could be capable of such things. When they ask about what’s on the news tell them it was monsters. Well it was but they weren’t green with red eyes and long claws they were ordinary people. There was no such thing as werewolves or ghosts or zombies…
or vampires
Well maybe vampires. It was almost laughable how ridiculous it sounds when you hear the story aloud. How cliche is it to be confronted by a vampire in an alleyway? How cliche is it to be a vampire? Or know a vampire? Or really anything to do with vampires. It’s tired and overused and a sad joke pretty much at this point but it’s the truth.
