You had a crush on a fellow senior in your class, whose name was Gerard, for awhile now, but you both were too afraid to do anything about it.

Gerard got bullied around quite often, causing him to be shy. You thought the shyness made him more adorable. You didn’t want to ask him out, in fear of doing something stupid or scaring off the poor kid. So, you two were stuck to observing each other in English, until one fateful day, roughly three weeks prior to prom.

You were at your locker, tossing random books inside, when you felt a light tap on your shoulder. Turning around, you face your crush, Gerard.

“H-hey (Y/N)? I didn’t mean to bother you, but prom is coming up next. Well, I’ve liked you for a while now, and I was wondering,” he looked down at the ground. “D-do you want to go with me?”

You knew you felt your insides explode with happiness when he asked you. You had to contain yourself from exploding like a fangirl when he even came up to you.

“I-I mean, you don’t have to of you don’t want to. Sorry for asking, you-you can beat me up if you want to now.” He was shaking now, with fear.

“Gerard”, you tilted his chin up. “I really like you too, and I would love to go to prom with you.”

“But, why would you want to go with a loser like me? I mean, everyone says I am.”

“Last time I checked, I am apart of ‘everyone’, and I have never called you a loser, nor have I thought it. Everyone who has been mean to you, and called you a loser are all a bunch of fuck-asses who can go screw a toad. I like you for who you are, not for what those dumbasses say. You can’t let those bullies talk you down like that,” you conclude your little mini-rant. Gerard didn’t deserve those bullies, and you couldn’t wait for high school to end, so they would hopefully get off of his back.

“Hey Gerard, maybe we can hang out after school,” you suggest.

“I-I’d like that,” he responds.

“Well, see you later Gerard.”

“Bye (Y/N)”.
