You knew eavesdropping was rude, but you couldn’t help it. You were at your boyfriend’s house, Mikey. Your parents weren’t too keen on you going to a boy’s house, but your families knew each other, so they made an exception.

“Hey, Frank, so I need your help,” Gerard said on the phone. You heard a ‘what’ on the other end, indicating the phone was on speaker. You recognized the voice, and realized it was Frank Iero’s, another boy at your school.

“So, there’s this girl at our school I like, y’know, Mikey’s friend, (Y/N).” Gerard continued. You gasped, not ever indicating any vibes off of him showing that he would.

“You gotta be kidding me. You’re joking, right?” Frank asked.

What, does he like me too? You wondered, being sarcastic. What would the chances of that be?

“No, Frank, I’m not. I really like her. Would you help me out. I could really use some advice.”

“Dammit Gerard, I fucking like her too.”

Well, that escalated quickly…

“I guess we got a problem then.”

“Damn straight.”

At this time, Mikey finds you and asks, “what are you doing?”

“Shhh, your brother and Frank are talking about their crushes on me,” you respond.

“Do they know?”

“Nope,” you said, popping the ‘p’.

“Well, we could ask her which of is she likes the most,” Gerard started.

“C’mon, dude, we both know it’s me. No offense,” said Frank on the other line.

“You can’t be so sure about that.”

“And, how would you know?”

“Dude, she makes it pretty obvious it’s me.” When Gerard said that, you and Mikey started laughing. Obviously, he got the wrong idea.

“Wanna bet? I’m sure Mikey would know, since he always hangs out with her. Dude, what if he likes her? Then, we’re screwed, and I don’t wanna be screwed like that.”

“Frank, you horny bastard.”

“You know it’s true. You don’t either.” You and Mikey had to cover your mouths to prevent Gerard from investigating the laughing. You both wanted to finish listening to the conversation between the two. If only they knew…

“True, true. So, how are we going to deal with this then?” Gerard asked.

“Hell if I know. Why don’t you just ask her? I mean, we could make a bet and do dumb shit to get her attention, but that would make us look like dumbasses.”

“Fine, I’ll ask her. I’ll be right back.” You heard Gerard get off of his bed, and you and Mikey ran away.

Mission abort! Mission abort!

You decided to go in the living room, and the two of you started laughing your asses off.

“But, they are dumbasses if they haven’t realized yet! Dude, we gotta tell them. I feel kinda bad now,” you say.

“Yeah, I know,” Mikey responds.

You hear footsteps, noticing their Gerard’s.

“Hey, (Y/N), if you had to date either me or Frank, who would you date?” Gerard asked.

“What? Gerard, I’m already dating someone, and I’m quite surprised you haven’t noticed who it was yet,” you respond.

“Wait, it’s Ray, isn’t it?”

“He’s dating Christa, dumbass,” Gerard’s back pocket spoke. You guessed it was Frank.

“Then who is it?”

“Gerard, I’m dating Mikey,” you say.

“Called it!”
