You'll Be My Detonator

Classes went by slowly after lunch. Most kids listened and cooperated. Others were total jerks.
I only had to Actaully yell at one kid. He was loud and obnoxious. He found himself just hysterical. I'd never found something so unamusing and frustrating as teacher his class.
When the final bell rung, kids hurried out of the room, whooping and hollering.
Mikey waltzed into the room with Frank and some other kid. I had him that day, but I couldn't remember his name. It was either Brendon or Brandon.
"Hey, Mikes!"I greeted my brother. "Hi Frank! Hello- Brendon, is it?"
Brendon, or whatever nodded. I was right.
"So, lemme guess. You want a ride home?"I raised an eyebrow at my brother. He placed a hand on his chest, mocking being offended.
"Why, I'd never!"he said In a feminine tone. Frank and Brendon laughed quietly. I rolled my eyes and stood up from behind the desk. I walked around it and perched on the edge.
"If not for a ride, what are you her for?"I asked Mikey in a teacher-like tone.
"Well, Mr. Way, I was wondering if Frank and Brendon could come over..?"he inquired-kind of. "And we need a ride... If you don't mind."
I sighed fakely.
Frank looked at me innocently. I walked around the desk again and grabbed my papers from the desk. I also grabbed my hoodie from the back of my chair.
I led the way out the door.
"Come on,"I stopped to face them. Frank looked down at his feet timidly.
They followed me out to my car. I placed my papers on the dashboard and started the car. Mikey pushed Frank forward towards the car. He snapped his head back, whispering something. Mikey and Brendon laughed and climbed in the back.
Frank opened the passenger door and sat down quietly. He pulled on his seatbelt and placed his backpack on the floor.
"Frank, you're accompanying my up front?"I joked. He looked up, slightly nervous.
"Frank, what's wrong?"Brendon asked. Frank shook his head.
"Nothing,"he smiled, obviously fake. Brendon mumbled something. I pulled out of the parking lot and began to drive down the road.
I couldn't help but glance at Frank every now and then. He stared put the window, seeming glum.
I reached out and turned on the radio. American Eulogy by Green Day was in the midst of playing. I hummed along quietly, staring at the road ahead.
As we came to a traffic circle, the car on from of us slammed on its brakes. My first reaction was to jet my arm out in front of Frank. My hand pressed against the boy's chest. We all willed forward as the vehicle came to a hault.
I dropped my arm down, accidentally brushing Frank's thigh. He looked up. I shot an apologetic look. He nodded in response.
"Are you guys okay?"I breathed out. There was a harmonious "yes" from the three.
I looked up at the car in front of us, still motionless. I felt flustered and honked the horn. The car soon began driving again, as did we.
"Good driving skills, Mr. Way,"Brendon told me in a cheery voice.
"Thank you, Brendon,"I said ina boring tone.
As the house came into view, I heard Mikey unbuckle impatiently.
I slammed on the brakes in frustration, hearing someone fall. I turned around, now feeling irritated. Mikey was clinging to the back of Frank's seat, first reaction being to grab something.
"Michael James Way, do not unbuckle unless I have both stopped and turned off the car,"I said I a callous tone. He nodded and leaned back. He pulled the seatbelt back on. I continued to drive and pulled into the driveway. Once the car was off, the boys all got put of the car quietly.
