Never Leave My Side.

"Frankie, wake up," Gerard said in a sweet, calming voice. "Come on, we need to go. Get up sleepy head."
"Huh?" Frank slowly awoke to darkness. He had remembered that he was still in the movie theater. I must have fallen asleep, Frank thought to himself. He slowly arose, stumbling over his tired feet. Gerard caught him in his arms.
"It's okay, I've got ya," Gerard reassured. He dragged Frank out into the aisle of the theater before standing him upright to let him walk by himself. Gerard was gentle with Frank and made sure he didn't hurt him when he dragged him.

Everybody left the theater slowly, as if they didn't really have any particular place to be. All five boys climbed into Gerard's red car. All was silent for most of the drive. Gerard finally cut the silence.

"So the boys and I are having a sleepover tonight. Would you like to join?"
Frank thought that would be a great idea. "Sure, just let me text my mom."

Frank pulled out his cellphone and texted his mother: Hey, mom I'm gonna spend the night at a friend's house. Pretty soon, Frank felt his phone buzz.
Okay, that will be fine.

"My mom said that I can," Frank said.
"Great!" Gerard replied, again with that enthusiasm."Here, I'll drop you off at your place to get your stuff."

Gerard started up the car, and in no time they were off to Frank's house. The drive back felt pretty short. Gerard parked the car in front of Frank's house, where Frank got out and ran inside to gather up his stuff. He came back in less than a minute. He climbed into the passenger's seat and off they went. They soon arrived at Gerard's house. As they entered, Frank whispered something to Gerard.

"Thanks for taking the time to hang around me. Nobody else would care."
"No problem. That's what friends are for, buddy."
