The Sane Abandoned Me

~Orlando's POV~

"Okay guys listen up!" I squealed clinking my water-bottle as I had no glass. Clary, Katherine, John, Marilyn, Anna, Serena, Ryan, Holly, Summer, Hattie and Ray who were sat on the field with me all ceased their conversations. I was about to deliver my exciting news when I was rudely interrupted by shrill screeches. We all looked around for the source of the noise, when we saw two figures bounding across the field.

As my eyes focused I saw a boy and a girl and before my lips could even form the words I got a mouthful of grass. "Uggh." I groaned as Daisy and Gerard sat on top of me. I pushed them off and yelled. "Where the fuck have you been?!" Everyone on the field erupted into questions directed at the pair, as Daisy and Gerard just sat their sheepishly.

"Daisy you had us worried sick!" Marilyn huffed.

"Did you and Gerard do it?!" John asked cocking an eyebrow.

"Of course they did look at their faces!" Clary chuckled.

"NO! We didn't do it." Daisy assured them. "And we are sorry we weren't in its complicated." She continued, I noticed she clutched Gerard's wrist and stroked it softly and I got a pang of worry. Something must be up.

"Complicated doesn't cut it!" I stated crossing my arms.

"Please just understand that we are sorry!" Daisy pleaded. "We actually came here today to tell you something super exciting."

"You're pregnant?" Katherine gasped.

Daisy rolled her eyes. "No, my fricking book is getting published!"

We all sat there for a second a bit dis-believing then we all jumped on top of Daisy and Gerard like little kids.

"This is huge!" Hattie exclaimed hugging Daisy tight.

"Do you forgive me now O?" Daisy asked edging closer to me.

"I guess, but I expect V.I.P tickets to your book launch!"

"Of course!" She agreed ruffling my hair.

We continued eating our lunch when I realized I still hadn't told everyone my news.

"Guys! I need to tell you my news!"

Everyone was silent so I stood up to give my speech. (Go big or go home I always say.)
"I was talking to our head of year today and they are planning a trip to Berlin! And best of all, you are all coming!"

Everyone began objecting and saying they couldn't afford it or their parents wouldn't say yes. Gerard looked particularly worried and said he had to stay with his Mum.

"Guys I have spoken to all your parents and you are all going! Its final."

"Orlando thank you so much!" Daisy cried clinging to Gerard. "We're going to Berlin together!
We all spoke about Berlin then half of us went to the common room.

I watched Gerard and Daisy messing about as Gerard held a black cup of coffee and smiled widely at Daisy. They were so cute.

"So what have I missed in Music?" Gerard asked Ray.

"Well me and you are in a group for a music assignment." Ray answered.

"Sweet!" Gerard smiled.

"But we need one more person and I don't know who." Ray said bringing his hand to his forehead.

"How about Frank?" Daisy suggested.

"Frank." Gerard stated.

"Yeah he's just over there." Daisy insisted pointing.

"Looks like we've got ourselves a band!" Gerard announced.

"Hey Jack." I greeted walking into our computing class.

"Hey." Jack answered signing into his computer. "Do you have the files?"

"Yep every single damn one, it only took about five hours."

"Thanks for doing that again!" Jack said smiling at me.

"Pleasure." I said returning the smile.

"So, I heard Daisy is back?" Jack asked trying to be casual.

"Yeah, her and Gerard came in at lunch today." I answered.

"I don't really like Gerard." Jack admitted. "I like you a lot more."

"Thanks, I like you too." I said looking into his vibrant eyes and I noticed he was blushing a little.

"You and Daisy are so cute." Jack continued.

Wait, was Jack flirting with me? Jack the guy I have secretly fancied since before him and Daisy even started hanging out.

"Thanks." I answered attempting to steady my breathing.

"And your really cool O." He said then he leaned in closer to me. "You have a hair on your jumper." He said as he picked it off.

I could smell his aftershave and saw his trembling lips and in a flash I brought my lips to his. He sat rigid for a second then pushed me off aggressively.

"What the fuck?!" He yelled leaping out of his chair.

"I...I thought you liked me." I mumbled.

"Ew you make me sick! I'm not a faggot like you so stop trying to spread your faggy germs!" He shouted and rushed out of the room.

~Daisy's POV~

"I'm glad you're okay." Jack stated. We were in psychology writing up our readings from our earlier experiment.

"Thanks."

"I was worried." He continued.

"Yeah, I'm sorry I had personal things to deal with. But lets not talk about that. Umm are you going to Berlin?" I asked.

"Maybe. Why do you want me to go?" He asked hopefully.

"If course I would want you to go! Orlando has arranged that all of us are going, I'm sure he could arrange for you to go as well." I noticed at the use of Orlando's name Jack became a little bit more inverted but I soon brushed it off as Jack said.

"Remember when we would have pushing wars?"

"Of course I do! I would always win." I teased him.

"Oh really?" He asked raising his dark eyebrows.

"Yas!" I said pushing him, but I pushed him a bit too hard and he fell completely off his seat. We both laughed hysterically.

Maybe I can be friends with Jack. Maybe he's not as bad as I thought.
