Around 12, Mrs. Way came upstairs and told us to get some sleep. Gerard started to clear away the photos and I got up to go ask her a question.

"Uh, Mrs.Way?"

"Frank honey, you can call me Donna ya know. What's up buttercup?"

"Uh right, okay. Uh, anyway. Do you guys by chance have a first aid kit or some bandaids that I could use?" I didn't know how to ask for the medical supplies tha I really needed, so I just went with the basic stuff.

"Of course sweetie! Do you havea cut or is it something more intense?"

"It's a bit more intense. But I just need some antiseptic and bandages, that's all."

"Oh alright! Well, I have some in the ensuite so come with me and we can get you all patched up!" She smiled.

My eyes grew wide for a quick moment. I definitely did not want her to see everything! But I didn't know how to tell her. She's such a sweet lady and I know that if she saw what had happened she'd get concerned. How would I cover? I can't bring myself to lie to her. Fuck me!

She sat me down on the corner of the bathtub. Then she opened up her medical cabinet and pulled out their first aid kit. As she opened the container, she asked me where and how many there were. I wasn't sure how many, but I did know that most were on my back, wrists, and inner thighs.

She looked over at me with slight confusion and concern. Oh God! Please don't ask. Fortunately for me, she just looked back down at the kit and cleared her throat.

"I'm guessing you would like to do some of that, alone?" She sounded sad but understanding.

I just smiled weakly and looked down at tiles. She took that as a yes and she started pulling out the needed supplies.

"Alright. Well, then just use this cloth and clean them with water first and then put some of this cream on them.." She picked up a medium size tube and displayed it to me. "And then put a band-aid or bandage on it. Okay?

"Okay. Thanks Mrs.W--I mean Donna." I tried to smile to pass off the mistake. She just smiled back.

"Do you want some help getting the ones on your back?"

"Uh, I---erh, I don--" I started stuttering like a fool.

"Okay. Wait, think of this. Would you rather have me know about it or you be in pain?"

"Uh, you knowing...I guess." I looked own again realizing what I just did.

"Frank sweetie, it's your life. Your choices. Nothing to be ashamed of. I'm just here to help you out because I love you like my own...sometimes more...but we'll just keep that a secret." She smiled sweetly.

"I know."

I stood up and began to take off my shirt. Mrs.Way went chillingy silent as she processed what she was looking at. Every burn. Every scar. Everything.
